Valentine

It's just a habit of mine to save time by mass producing cards - with a twist.  This time my Valentine card is made with scraps from a variety of paper collections - Christmas, Graphic 45 Place in Time, and Heartfelt Creations Delicate Asters.

Because I used the heart shape on my Christmas cards, I was on a roll in changing the message and getting these cut quickly.  Now I'm finally able to take advantage of eClips' Print-2-Cut function - thanks to Santa Hubby.  So I'm saving lots of time by keeping the cards basically the same - just changing up the paper and design.

So... here's another card.

Scrap Valentine Card

Good Morning, All!

For my Valentine cards, I want to use SCRAPS!  I have a TON of scraps, and this is just one card I made for Valentine's Day.

I love creating cards using my scraps (in this case, elements from Heartfelt Creations paper packs), because it's an easy way to clean my craft area.  And when you have lots of sheets of patterned paper from various collections, it's fun to combine all those papers in a creative way.

I also played with my eClips Print-2-Cut feature finally - for the heart.  Not exactly how I wanted it to print....and still need a bit of practice aligning the laser to the registration marks - but will definitely save time when I have some mass production to do....not to mention a much nicer fussy cut.  :D

More than likely, posts for the next month will be Valentine's Day cards made from my scrap piles . . . Enjoy!

Santa Wishes

So much for New Year's Resolutions - last year's resolution was to post at least every other day....but life got in the way. LOL!

I'm excited to be back today to show you my latest project, this sweet and simple Christmas globe frame I made for my friend - I make one for her each Christmas with her grandson's picture.

Here are links to the frames made the past two years (don't know what happened to my first frame).

Christmas Snowflakes

Still working on Christmas cards - 115 down - 56 to go!

Today I'm excited to switch up my card a bit for Suzy Bee's Challenge - Anything Goes with a Twist - the twist this week being snowflakes.  So am substituting my poinsettias with this sweet and intricate snowflake from SVGCuts' free Snowflake Tag file.  This snowflake would be an awesome accent for a winter wedding invitation!

You've got to see the detail in this snowflake. So delicate - but unfortunately, because I chose a busy pattern for my stocking, had to include a shadow to show off the detail. Lovely, nonetheless.

Christmas Stocking Card

Hi, All!

I absolutely adore the Christmas card basic design that I am using this year.

This weekend I wanted to create a Christmas card using my basic design, as well as include the "twist" for Suzy Bee's Anything Goes Challenge #58 - with a twist.  Suzy Bee's twist is Spots or Dots.

To add dots to my design, I embossed the stocking cuff with a dotted folder.  :)

Enjoy - and join the fun by adding your dotted card to Suzy Bee's Challenge.
