Vintage Carnival - We Are 3

My layout today is highlighting the Vintage Carnival digital paper collection from We Are 3.  The layout will be completed with photos of my grandson sliding down several slides - along with a link to a video of him sliding down a slide.

Oh, by the way, We Are 3 will have several new releases on Sunday.  Yes, there's Halloween - and papers you absolutely need for Christmas cards - and some paper suitable all year 'round just because it's super pretty - even something for the kiddies!

Happy Dirt-Day

Hello, Everyone!  I'm here today with a card featuring Marriages from Bugaboo.
Lots of cute possibilities with this old guy.  This time he's hearing voices - look at that face as he thinks he hears God speaking to him!  For this card, I used rock and dirt patterned papers.  I must say they were a find with perfect patterns for this birthday card!

For the inside, I printed the big question - just how old are you?!?!?

A Day of Celebration

Hello, Everyone!  Here today with a birthday gift featuring a Golf Bag.  This adorable file is from SVG Cuts.
I wanted to use some fun colors like you see in Google searches and Pinterest, but I also wanted it to look similar to our friend's golf bag.  When I saw he had a plain black bag - had to put my thinking cap on.  I think I made a smart choice.  I edited a plaid-patterned digital paper using Gimp.  I changed all the greens in the paper to shades of gray and black.  I then filtered the paper with Distort > Mosaic.  After I finished with editing, I got just what I wanted - a sort of textured black tweed fabric pattern.  I also filtered a gray pattern to get a textured leather feel.  First time around - definitely made some mistakes - but this took very little time to make.  I added the numbers 8 and 4 and our friend is turning 84 years old.

Congratulations to You!

Hi, Everyone!  Here today with a 3D trophy perfect for the winners in your life, staring Father's Day Loving Cup, which literally deserves its own awards! It's so beautiful no matter whatever papers you'd choose.  As for my Loving Cup, I wanted it to be a bright color.  It turned out so pretty, and I love, love, love it.

Today's Show and Tell

Here's a little Tucson Subway Art.  I'm still learning - feeling like it's one step forward, two back.  What I learned on this project....buy the cheap acrylic paint - it only takes one quick coat.  Next, the color on the paint sample on the bottle is not the color inside.  I spent lots of time with a piece of vinyl matching colors - nothing like it when I got it on the canvas.  Oh, so much more to learn!  LOL!  But am proud I did not give up!  I will abandon this in Tucson someplace - actually preposting, so probably has already been abandoned by the time you read this.

Pretty Exotic Seaside Donuts

We Are 3 has amazing digital papers - I chose yummy Exotic Seaside for this birthday card.
My card for today is highlighting Dandy Dunker Donuts (My Scrap Chick) for my son-in-law's birthday - a Simpsons fan.  To complete my card, I used a happy birthday sentiment for a background. I especially love using digital papers and images as matching colors is so easy.  To add some dimension to my card, I created a second birthday sentiment - and some twine.

Pipe Cleaner Christmas

Hello, Everyone!  Here today with a card highlighting a Mystery Item for a local swap - a pipecleaner.  My Christmas tree pretty much came out just as I envisioned.

I paired my Christmas tree with digital paper called Holly Berries.

September SALSA Swap

After admiring all kinds of tags made using mixed media, I decided to see if I could replicate the feel using digital papers.  I chose Miss Daisy, a We Are 3 Collection.  Using GIMP, I created three tags with three coordinated sheets of paper.  I then used the eraser to randomly erase sections of the top two layers.  I got exactly what I wanted.  It may look like a single paper pattern to you (which was my goal) - but if you look carefully, it moves from a striped pattern at the top to a dotted pattern in the middle to a floral pattern at the bottom.
This is a 5-1/4" X 3" tag.  I designed it for the SALSA tag swap - theme is Inspire Me.

Waiting for the Music to Play

This weekend is our local SALSA group - we have three swaps each month.  I fell in love with this new paper collection from We Are 3 - Woodland Delight.  I used a Music Flourish for the SALSA theme Tra La La La La.  I used word art from Drehi.  Here's my completed card.

New Little Star Creation

I used We Are 3's Little Star digital paper collection for this layout. Love the bright patterns and colors! The photo will be my youngest grandson at the park - sliding down a slide.

Having a Delightful Camping Trip

I had a good time creating this layout.  It features Doodle Pantry's little Finny Fish that I won in a challenge, as well as Seaside Bobbers from We Are 3.

It's All About Subway Art - and Vinyl

My new favorite hobby is vinyl.  My hubby seems to be impressed with my work, too - asking me to make signs now.  This sign is for his pain management doctor.  I still have lots to learn - first time working with 651.  With everything I've read, did not expect my vinyl to be glossy when placing my order.  Need more research, I guess. Over all, though, pleased with the final outcome other than not choosing my colors well.  These colors best matched my printout - but I guess canvas and glossy vinyl look differently than ink on paper.  LOL!

Layout from the Heart

Today I have a fun layout using digital papers from We Are 3 - Nature Blends and and Burlap Beach.  I'm really happy with this layout for my wedding album.  At our wedding, we surprised everyone with taking them on a train ride to the ceremony.  Since I was in hiding on the train, I couldn't watch everyone's faces as they learned they were taking this trip and boarding the train - so I treasure these pictures that show the excitement before the trip.  This was one of those layouts that the entire time I was making it, just not really sure where I was going - but when finished, it's now one of my favorite layouts.

This Post is For the Birds!

Here's my design for this week's Paper Ala Mode Challenge at The Outlawz - the theme is Pop-Up.

I used We Are 3's Nautical digital papers for the card and to piece the birdie.  The flowers are made using We Are 3's Fairy Mail digital papers.

I used some handmade paper from Heidi Finley for this card.

Adrian's Amusement Park Adventures

I like the Featured Stamper Challenge at Splitcoast Stampers - only first discovered when I was Featured myself.
I cased a layout made by FS552 because I wanted to make a layout with as many pictures as possible.  I used We Are 3's Vintage Carnival digital paper collection.  I am working on my grandson's 4th scrapbook - my how time flies!

Two Challenges Today

I've been keeping busy in my scrap room - but with vinyl, book binding, and scrapbooking rather than cards.  So I thought I'd made a quick and easy card for a couple challenges - Tuesday Morning Sketch #420 and Cute Card Thursday #494 (Autumn).

The papers are from We Are 3's Orange Retro Collection.  The flower is Festival (Shabby Princess).  The sentiment is from the We Are 3 Autumn Sentiments.  Here's the Sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketch.

Creative Houses

I used this week's Featured Stamper from Splitcoast Stampers for inspiration for my cards.  I used a variety of papers from We Are 3 Collections - Pastel Burlap, Inspirational, and Once Upon a Time - and House images from Pretty Grafik Design.  Threw in a little Ideaology from Tim Holtz as well.  I made these cards to give to my neighbor who is moving away this week.

I created today's card using We Are 3's Vintage Wreath, Christmas Sentiments, Vintage Christmas digital papers, and Crisp Autumn digital papers.
