Chicken Sign

Here's a sign I designed for brother-in-law and sister-in-law.  This is the first "rustic" sign I've made - and still have to work on my patience.  Nothing like finishing before you remember your machine's calibration is off - resulting in the sign not being centered.  But it was sooo fun, and I learned a lot for the next attempt.

A card that is easy to make.  I used We Are 3's fantastic Framed Neutral digital paper collection which is useful for so many occasions.  For the butterfly, I used Butterfly Set from Miss Kate Cuttables.

Flowers of Love

Today I've made a sympathy card inspired by this week's Featured Stamper at Splitcoast Stampers.  At Cute Card Thursday, it's Shades of Pale - so entering for the first time there.

The Outlawz - Watercolor

I once was a big Ken Oliver Colorburst fan, but once digital watercolor backgrounds and images became popular, I'd rather miss the mess and find these just as fun.  For last week's Twisted Thursday Challenge at The Outlawz, I cheated and used Watercolor Peonies from Design Bundles to make my card - and then I made another - and another - and another.  I plan to abandon these on a future shopping trip.

With Sympathy - Paper Ala Mode

I'm pleased to share with you a card I made with Birds Playing in Birdbath (Angie's Digital Stamps).  I chose this for a sympathy card because the image of bird bath sent by coworkers when my mother died is always with me.  It was such a unique and thoughtful gift - and have since given bird baths to others.  Be sure to join us at the Paper Ala Mode challenge and share your sympathy card with us.

Wedding in June with Bagpipes

Gene and I got married 14 years ago - and I am nearly finished with our wedding album - FINALLY!  A beautiful day at Crossroads Village, a small historical attraction in Genesee County (Michigan).  After taking our guests on a train ride to see the outdoor ceremony, we had a bagpiper escort us through the village to the dinner reception.

 For this layout, I used papers from Burlap Beach (We Are 3).

April Showers Release

Wow!  I am excited!  I love the raindrops overlay in We Are 3's April Showers collection.  The raindrops added that special touch to a one-layer card surrounded by watercolor flowers.

We Are 3 New Release

I really had fun making this card.  It gave me a change to do something a little different from what I usually do...and unbelievably simple!  I really like how this turned out...I think this simple one-layer design really brings out the colors in this patterned paper from the new Spring Showers collection.  This would be a great masculine card of sympathy card.

Bridesmaids

Wow!  Time flies!  Can't believe we'll soon be celebrating 14 years and I'm finally nearing the end of my wedding album!!!  One of my favorite photos today, too - my stepdaughter (Maid of Honor) and sisters and myself - all smiles.  Went with all solid colors on today's layout.  Flowers are Doodle Pantry's Josephine Clematis.  I'm also entering this layout into Challenge #147 at Inspiration Destination.
