Sweet Window View with a Featured Stamper

Featured Stamper and We Are 3 - I don't think you could ask for a better match.  I enjoy casing cards from featured stampers at Splitcoast using wonderful digital items from We Are 3!  The best part is, I can often make great cards with little effort!!  I personally think the best thing about the Featured Stamper challenge is that I can choose the challenge of my choice!!  How great is that?!?

Here is a card I made for this week's Featured Stamper, Sylvia.  Sylvia had a simple card with a window accent.  I used Window View and Winter Serenity together on this card.
On this card, the background paper is Winter Serenity.  I love that collection - it is so fun to work with.  The watercolor paper you see out the window is also Winter Serenity.  To create this card, I pulled all of my inspiration from Sylvia's card.  She had a small banner with a sentiment on her card - I just happened to have a banner with a sentiment on my desk waiting to be filed from another project!

Sketch - Outlawz Challenges

Displaying SC0531018.jpg
I love sketches and use them all the time for inspiration.  The Outlawz Challenges have a sketch challenge each Wednesday - one of my favorites.  Here is a card I made with this week's sketch - sponsored by We Are 3.
For paper, I used Tones of Gray from We Are 3 - a special release for this month's sketch challenges at The Outlawz.

Hues to Use at Power Poppy

Just wanted to show you a card I made inspired by this week's Hues to Use at Power Poppy.  I broke down today and bought myself a new stamp set - Sweet Simple Things.  I LOVE this image!!  My background paper is from the Framed Neutral Collection from We Are 3.

Just a Quick Project

OMGosh!  I have been looking for a purse/backpack for a long time!  I finally broke down and bought one...wasn't sure, more than I wanted to pay - but the thought of always being in pain on my vacation from a purse or bag on one shoulder brought out a bit of desperation.  So, of course, I wanted to doll it up.  Monogram?  I don't know - it's a bit rustic.  I needed something more fun!  I love my quail - but nice quail SVGs are hard to find - and not much available in clip art either. But my google search included a mailbox topper - the fact that the picture was poor quality for a topper was a vinyl cutting dream.  The poor quality was more like a silhouette - perfect!

Here is my backpack.  For those of you who know me, I think you would agree that this couldn't have been a better image for me - I love quail!  Now that I have this svg available - could be that nothing in my house is safe!
Now I only hope I don't run into any "No Backpack" rules as we vacation.

Quick Layout

Today just a quick layout as I come near the end of making four scrapbooks for my husband's siblings - only two more pages to go, and I already know what I want to do with those.  Yeah!  Here's my latest layout - pretty simple.

For this layout, I decided to do something a little different from what I usually do and colored up some mushroom and butterflies - I've been practicing my shading and I'm pretty happy with how these turned out.  I love the Hues to Use colors from Power Poppy last week, so used those colors for my mushrooms and butterflies.  The Mushroom Butterfly is from Angie's Digital Stamps.  I cut the butterflies off two of the images and glued them together to make the butterfly at the top of the page.

Starry Night

Here is another card for our local swap.  This is for the theme "Starry, Starry Night."  For my starry "splatter," I used paper from We Are 3's Outer Space collection.

My Mystery Item

Hello!  I am really excited today to be posting a card made with this month's "Mystery Item" from SALSA.  I often stare at these items and go blank.  But when I received this mystery item - a white photo corner - I could envision my card immediately.  And I love how my photo corner/cabin transition turned out!

Here is my card - We Are 3 provided the digital papers for me - Winter Serenity and Exotic Seaside.  What a fun combination!  The sentiment is from Miss Kate Cuttables - Love.

Scrapbook Layout Time with Vintage Carnival

For today's layout, I added some icicles and Hipster Snowman to add to the snow day.  I used patterned papers from the Vintage Carnival collection.  Thanks to Bonnie and her grandchildren for lending me their photos.

Simple Card with Simple Wishes

For the May Releases at We Are 3 - I decided to make a simple card, but added some dimension with layered flowers and leaves, using four layers of Window View.
You can find the paper, sentiment, window, and window view at We Are 3:

Nature Blends and We Are 3 for a Wedding Layout

Gene and I got married 14 years ago!  A beautiful day at Huckleberry Railroad and Crossroads Village (Genesee, Michigan).  We took all our guests on a 19th-Century train to the outside ceremony - we got married with the train holding all our guests in a semi-circle backdrop.  Gene and I rode back to the village in first-class style - in the caboose.
For this layout, I used a touch of Nature Blends from We Are 3 for a watercolor accent.

Just Admiring the Beauty

Here in Southern Arizona, cacti are blooming - a sight to behold!  Here's my take on these blooming cacti using We Are 3's Black and White as a background.  My cacti are paper pieced using We Are 3's Watercolor Batik.

Sketch Challenge at The Outlawz

Displaying SC051618.jpg

I have been enjoying working on Sketch Challenges at The Outlawz.  For this particular sketch, I decided to create a scrapbook layout, rather than a card.  The photo will be of my grandson playing in the snow.  Once I'm able to add the photo, where you see tan, the photo will show through.  It's a fun way to kind of frame the photo.  As you can see, I turned the layout sideways.  I used We Are 3 papers (Vintage Carnival).

Birthday + a Splash of Minecraft

Here's my birthday card for my grandson who is now a Minecraft enthusiast.  The card is Pinterest inspired - but I took a shortcut and used background paper from the Pretty Kitty collection...already in my stash.
