Power Poppy Creative Confetti

This card is for the Creative Confetti Challenge at Power Poppy using Black-Eyed Susan and a sentiment from Irresistible Peonies - all from Power Poppy.  For some reason, I love to color my Black-Eyed Susans blue - I think they are just the cutest.  They're colored digitally.  The background paper is from Tea Time by We Are 3.  I also made a strip of paper with Black-Eyed Susans to show through the vellum.  This week's theme is "Make It Your Way" - with elements provided based on birth month and initials.  As usual, I skimmed instructions and found after the card was made that I was to use both initials - I only used C for pink - and my birth month August called for vellum.

Splitcoast Stampers Featured Stamper

Happy Sunday! Nothing fancy here. I just created a border with digital elements from Digital Crea. I changed the transparency for the background to give it subtle color. The sentiment is from Creative Fabrica.

We Are 3 Fairy Dreams Release

This week We Are 3 released a new collection - Fairy Dreams. Of course, I just had to play! 

I just used a strip of the gorgeous paper - love the colors in this paper.  The entire collection is a fabulous assortment, so be sure to have a look.

Anything Lavinia - Fairy Dreams

I recently have begun creating fairy-themed cards here and there. They can be ADDICTING! Of course, one of the reasons I like them is they lend themselves well to single-layer cards. This new release from We Are 3 is Fairy Dreams - so I decided to use the Dragonfly Keeper and surround her with Wild Mushrooms and Fairy Fir Trees. And there you go! I'm entering this in the Anything Lavinia challenge.

Two Autumn Leaves

I was so excited to have been inspired by a card in one of my favorite Facebook groups, I just had to try this watercolor technique "digitally."  

I used splashes from Sky Wonder, a freebie from Design Bundles.  Aren't they awesome?  

The leaves are glued in one spot for dimension.  The sentiment is Robyn Gough Designs Love Word Art.  I forgot to plan for the sentiment - so it ended up printing too close to my design.  :(

A Mini-Me Card

Oh, what fun the current Power Poppy Creative Confetti Challenge is this week. They are celebrating "Mini Me!" I just love little versions of things - if you ever visit Tucson, be sure to visit the Miniature Museum! The papers for my standard A2 card and it's Mini-Me version gift card are from We Are 3 - I combined paper from Just Autumn and Romantic Hearts. The cupcake is Watermelon Cupcake.

For the lacy shaped matting behind the cupcake, I used a doily from Monica's Creative Room.  I printed the layers because the details are much too small for my machine to cut.

Little Scraps of Heaven Kawaii Ornament Digi Kit

Happy Wednesday!  My layout today is for my grandson's scrapbook.  We are able to videochat from time to time - but what he really enjoys is the app with all the different faces - - which he refers to as "that Facey Game."  My papers are from Little Scraps of Heaven - Kawaii Ornament Digi Kit.  The title is done with punch-out alphabet letters I purchased when I first started scrapbooking.  All the embellishments are from my stash.

Creative Memories Layout - We Are 3 Papers

Yikes! I've been avoiding Walmart and sending photos to be processed only 1-2 times a month. Hard to keep all these empty layouts straight! This layout is featuring artwork from neighborhood kids - drawings they made for us for birthdays and hospital stays and just because. I love their thoughtful artwork and especially their excited faces when they give us their handmade cards - I have such a hard time tossing them!  So decided instead they belong in my scrapbooks.  So here's just a tasted of my neighborhood art talent.

Single-Page Layout Challenge by Stick It Down

This layout is inspired by this month's single-page layout at Stick It Down...flipped. The papers are digital papers from We Are 3 - Best of Autumn. Stick It Down Double-Layout Challenge

I just love the sketch challenges at Stick it Down. This layout is pretty simple - I just grabbed some glitter stickers from my stash for the embellishments...not really outside of the box. I still think it turned out pretty cute. 

The papers are from We Are 3's Best of Autumn collection.  The "journaling" on the left side is from We Are 3's Itty Bitty - Sweet set.

    

The Paper Ala Mode Fancy Challenge

Paper Ala Mode is going Fancy this week with their theme. We are using paper from We Are 3's Peonies Ballet. The Butterfly of Hope is popped up, and the sentiment from the Fabulous set is printed at an angle.

Creative Confetti Sketch It Out

This week at Power Poppy, the Creative Confetti challenge is a sketch for inspiration.

The flowers are from Power Poppy's Pure Prairie Bouquet.  I was so excited with how the monochrome coloring turned out - LOVE how well it coordinated with kraft cardstock.

We Are 3 Victorian Christmas

I think the days until Christmas will begin flying by! The new Christmas releases at We Are 3 will make it easy to get started on those Christmas cards. Victorian Christmas and Victorian Holiday are great for traditional Christmas cards.

To embellish it a bit more, I added a poinsettia.

     

With Gratitude

For this week's Featured Stamper Challenge I used the adorable image Miss Typewriter. The hearts is from Heart Borders - they are from Miss Kate Cuttables. Of course, my image is colored digitally.

Power Poppy Creative Confetti Challenge

This week at Power Poppy, the Creative Confetti challenge is to create a slim-line card. The image I chose came from Be My Honey (Little Scraps of Heaven). I colored the image digitally. The sentiment is from Family Fun (Digital Scrapbook Experts).

I decided to keep it pretty CAS.  I thought the kraft paper and plaid looked a little rustic.  I popped the image.  I'm really pleased with how the beehive turned out.

We Are 3 Dragonflies in Flight Layout

My layout today is inspired by a layout shared by Snippy Scrappers here in Arizona - called Folded Paper Petal Page. Eight petals are cut, folded, and added to the layout to form the geometric background. I used a doily from Monica's Creative Room for the center. The papers come from Dragonflies in Flight from our fabulous We Are 3. I added some peeking penguins and a border from my stash - and some gold sticker snowflakes/stars for some twinkle.

I encourage you to go visit the We Are 3 shop. The papers are all wonderful! In addition, Bonnie has some fun printables that come both pre-colored and black line for you to color.

Dog Love at We Are 3

These lovely papers are Dog Love from We Are 3 - soooo cute!

My original plan was to leave the front free of embellishments - but it needed something, and these cute paw prints helped.

Zoom Card Class with Diane Porrazzo

Last night I crashed a card class with Diane Porrazzo - Stampin' Up and Creative Memories consultant. You see, my email skimming skills leave much to be desired, and I was a day late. But Diane let me sit in (thank you for that), and I always have supplies around....so improvised following Diane's basic designs.

This was my favorite.  The background is cut from some Paper Studio's Deck the Halls with Chalk.  Woo Hoo!  I added poinsettias that I colored digitally and added a sentiment from my stash.  Finished!  I also made the cards below - not as nice as Diane's, though.

SALSA Bingo

This month our local SALSA group shared a bingo game as inspiration to keep crafting. This card is a fancy fold - they seem to like those. I often feel they are too much trouble - however, I think this four-fold card is gorgeous. The papers and sentiments are from my stash. The poinsettia is from Power Poppy. The card base is easy - decorating five coordinated panels, a bit more challenging!

Featured Stamper Challenge

This week at Splitcoast Stampers Featured Stamper, the featured stamper was also a scrapbooker. I had an opportunity to do some serious casing! My layout is made with Positive Vibes. I had a ball casing her layout using my papers and embellies.

The little deer are Baby Deer with Mom...the basic theme throughout the scrapbook.  Don't they make a cute embellishment for a baby album?

I completed the layout by using a variety of computer-generated journaling, stickers and brads from my stash, and P2C images from Positive Vibes.

Rock Your Mojo!

The Power Poppy Creative Confetti Challenge last week was to Rock our Mojo - find something to spark our creativity. I chose Beccy's Place Over the Edge card for my inspiration. I was also inspired by a local Bingo game - a square requiring stamping our own background paper. The image I used is Irresistible Peonies from Power Poppy - the sentiment is from Irresistible Peonies as well.

When I stamped the background, I resized the peonies as I stamped an entire sheet of cardstock.

A Freebie Progressive Challenge (Gingerbread Treat)

It's July!!!! That means it's time for another Progressive Freebie at The Outlawz where we color a freebie image for all our fans to view. The current challenge is using Gingerbread Treat from Twinkle Lane Designs. I decided to pull out all the colors for my card this month. 

The Freebie Progressive Challenge provides an excellent opportunity for practicing your coloring skills.  I'm pretty pleased with how mine came out.  The added JOY embellishment is an embellishment I was gifted years ago - finally found a good place for it.

My little card features the Kadoodle Bug Sleeping Flamingo from the Endless Summer set. Isn't she pretty? It's flamingo themed for my friend Jo - here's hoping all your birthday dreams come true, Jo! I'm also submitting this to the bingo challenge for our local SALSA group.

Happy Birthday from Paper Ala Mode

For the next two weeks, The Paper Ala Mode Challenge is celebrating birthdays - and we are using the fabulous Happy Birthday Collection and Cupcake Olive Puppy. WooHoo! Talk about sweet! This puppy is just the sweetest. I'm seriously in love with the papers. I colored Olive digitally and cut her out with my Eclips. All I added was a sentiment from the Itty Bitty - Sweet set.
