Cool Cups - Warm Cups

I am so excited to share today's make with you!  We have friends from Toronto that bring us Tim Horton coffee cups whenever they visit.  This visit they brought cups with a sweater pattern for Christmas - they just scream Brrrrrr!  So for Christmas, I made them a Sahuarita version of a seasonal coffee cup to take back to Tim Horton country.

Viney Valentine

Hello, Everyone!  I'm here today with a card starring Viney Flourish from Fred She Said.  It's a perfect addition to floral images and versatile for any occasion.  As for my card today, I mixed it with Blue Blossoms to create a Valentine bouquet.
The three layers of a Heart Doily are from Miss Kate Cuttables.

Another Vinyl Project - Monogrammed Purses

So, this week there is nothing planned for a change, and I hope to catch up on posting Christmas gifts I made and get back to papercrafting and blogging and resting. Here are my first attempts at monogramming purses.  My tester (black purse) did not come out as I expected - though some of my friends like this style.  Personally, I was not impressed.
I do like my second attempt (burgundy) - pleased with how this monogram fro my sister-in-law came out.

My First Layered and Glittered Design

I did this design several weeks ago, but never got around to posting it here.  I'm still learning - for instance, even after watching several videos and placement, when I eyed it up, I thought it was too low - when completed, very much too high.  Guess those people in the videos knew what they were speaking of.  However, when reviewing sizing charts, seems 3" x 3" was the size I should use.  Wow - do you know how small that is?  Instead, I went with 6".  Glad I didn't listen to them about that!  This is for my neighbor who turned one year old last week.

Wishing You a Merry Christmas!

Well, today's share was a little tough!  Long story short - my machine just wasn't exactly cooperative for this project.  But I persevered and pretty happy with my Santa Plate and Cup for Lucas and Olivia.
Hope you all have a wonderful holiday.

MIA - Vinyl Happens!

This year I discovered vinyl - and I've become my mother!  My mother used to be a professional embroiderer - and I swear everything I owned had my name on it!  Well, this year I became my mother and pretty much everyone is getting a personalized Christmas gift - whether they like or not!  LOL!

But since I discovered vinyl, I've been MIA on the papercrafting scene.  Christmas gifts are finished....and today I took some time to get back into my routine beginning with one of my favorites - Featured Stamper at Splitcoast Stampers.  I'm combining this with the CAS challenge at The Outlawz - featuring silver or gold.

Papers I used include Once Upon a Time from We Are 3.

Love is in the Air

Can you believe that Christmas is already here?  Must be time to be thinking Valentine's Day!  Isn't a good crafter always months ahead?  Well, I've got the Cupid bug.  I decided to start preparing small gifts now so I will be ready later.  Here is my first idea for little friend gifts...EOS Lip Balm Holders.

All the papers I used are from We Are 3, except the leaves I just pulled from my stash.  I think these are the perfect way to jazz up a simple gift.  The papers are from the Shabby Glam collection and the Textures collection.  Now I'm ready for Valentine's!

For today's post, I made a dump truck birthday card for our little neighbor boy.

Only two more days until Christmas - How is it possible another year is almost over?!?!?

We Are 3 Christmas Tree Card Kit, Rainbow Gingham, and Fantasy

Good Morning! Hope you're having a good weekend.  Cards - Yes!  I've been so busy making Christmas gifts, it's been a while since I've played with paper to finally make a card.  I was inspired by Bonnie's CAS card with Christmas presents.  It's a super clean and simple card, using only some simple Christmas presents.  I didn't want to CASE her card exactly, but really liked the simplicity of the presents.  So take a look at my clean and simple card.
This is on digital paper from the Christmas Tree Card Kit.  Seriously, if you don't have this collection, you need to get it - it is so fun!  You can get it for free now at Kit and Clowder.  I used papers from Rainbow Gingham and Fantasy for the patterned presents - also an embossed blue turquoise.  I added some bows cut with my eClips.  Easy peasy!

It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas

Less than a week to Christmas.  Some moments I'm feeling pretty organized - and others I'm feeling a bit stressed.  These are some quick cards I made for my dental hygienist.  The image is from Power Poppy.

Featured Stamper - Another Christmas Card

Today's card was inspired by Featured Stamper #566 at Splitcoast Stampers.
The patterned papers I used are from We Are 3 - Christmas Tree Card Kit and the Stamping Studio Welcome Kit (retired).  The angle is from We Are 3's Vintage Wreaths.  The blue horizontal layer was made using Gimp - I began with a solid blue image and used the eraser with an abstract brush to erase a lot of the background.  It's an easy way to get a unique background.

The Outlawz Twisted Thursday

Hello, Monday!  One more week to Christmas - I'd better finish that shopping.  For that reason, the post is pre-scheduled to give me time to finish up my shopping.  The tag is inspired by The Outlawz Twisted Thursday Challenge from two weeks ago...Christmas with Polka Dots.

Catching up on Christmas Cards

Since I've been playing with vinyl, I've spent lots of time making Christmas gifts, and I seem to have fallen behind in much more. I'm feeling like all I'm doing is playing "catch up." It has not helped that we have spent hours each day for the past two weeks trying to resolve prescription issues with my hubby's new Medicare insurance plans - B, C, F, whatever! Seems with all those letters of the alphabet, one would work to give him what he needs!

Today's card is inspired by the Challenge #12 at Kerst Christmas sponsored by We Are 3. For most of the layers, I used Toasty Warm Neutral
digital papers. The punched border comes from Mermaid Love, and the patterned background comes from Pumpkin Delight. I planned to embellish with snowflakes - but I didn't care for them. So I replaced the snowflakes with a poinsettia from my stash. I didn't have any green poinsettia leaves, so I used We Are 3's Stackable Zebra Flower.

We Are 3 and a Woodworking Santa

Today's all about another Christmas card! My husband enjoys playing with mesquite wood - but has yet found a truly useful idea to make. While shopping through a craft show, there was a vendor with beautiful mesquite products. Often those vendors hold their secrets close to their hearts - no need to help the competition. However, we met Bill and he was willing to help my hubby out, sharing info of local groups and deals and steals. My hubby still hasn't made anything useful - but he did make a new friend. So he asked me to make a special Christmas card - this is what we came up with...Santa working a little wood of his own.
I combined a lot of free clipart to make my woodworking Santa using Gimp - a Santa, a lumberjack cutting wood, and an axe. For my papers, I used leftovers from an earlier projects - what you see here is Christmas Magic digital papers and In Stitches.

Gingham Card #2 - We Are 3

This month has been filled with wonderful DT samples at We Are 3.  As a designer, I'm always scouring the internet for new ideas to CASE.  I was inspired by a variety of Pinterest cards to come up with this idea.  Real sense of pleasure when the card finally came together the way I imagined.
The trick is printing the background and background flowers three times - then die cutting two frames out of two of the copies.  So the background is one layer - the inner frame is two layers - and the outer frame is three layers - topped off with a couple dimensional flowers.  I used Rainbow Gingham for the background and Stackable Flowers - Amaryllis for the flowers (all from We Are 3, of course).

Heartfelt Creations Poinsettia

This is a simple little card - using one of my favorite poinsettia dies and some paper I bought years and years ago.

Santa Card

This card is the product of needing quick and easy Christmas cards.
I started with a card base approximately 4-1/2" x 3".  I then covered it with paper from the Christmas Tree Card Kit available at We Are 3.  I opted for the printed digital paper rather than plain red to give Santa a little pizzazz!  I cut Starry-Eyed Santa - he's approximately 4" x 5".  I used these sizes because I have a bunch of larger envelopes I am trying to use up.  My cutting machine was busy with another project, so I hand cut Santa.  The way he is designed, it takes very little time to fussy cut him....a good project while watching Hallmark Christmas movies.  I added a black belt with a gold buckle and some pearls for button holes.  If you're looking to give Santa a little more pizzazz, cut three copies of him the same size - layering his face, mustache, and hat fur.

December Release - We Are 3

Today I'm posting a new design for We Are 3.
For this card, I used We Are 3's Rainbow Gingham, Scents of Christmas (Retired), and Stackable Flowers - Amaryllis.  I am thrilled with the deep colors of the precolored flowers.
