Sizzix Eclips Users Group Challenge - Masculine

This month at the Sizzix Eclips Users Group, the challenge is to make something masculine. I've been on crafting overload lately, so didn't have time to make anything very complicated. I really do love this gift bag, though - although my execution looks as hurried as I was. The cute fish are from Keep It Real. They are precolored, so I only needed to do a Print2Cut. The fish hook is from Fishing Fly from SVG Cuts. That's it! Simple - and even with the glittery gold bag, I think it still captures the masculine theme.  #eclipsecalmaker

Smile! A Floral Gift Bag

I sure am having fun decorating these gift bags. Today I used some decoupage flowers that were gifted to me years ago...and I just couldn't help but add a little butterfly. 

Power Poppy Creative Confetti Challenge

It's the last challenge for May for Creative Confetti at Power Poppy. What's the challenge? Sketch. Here is Irresistible Peonies, ready for the picking for Mom. The flowers were cut with my Eclips. The flowers are digitally colored, and the background is embossed with a musical background (oops - embossed sideways)

Indian Tribe

For today's gift bag, I cut a label from Label Set 3 by Bird and added some "rhinestones" for borders. The top label is made from Canvas and Watercolor - makes for a great sky background. I used Indian Tribe (My Clipart Store) with Print 2 Cut.

Valentine Gift Bag

Don't you love having a stash of beautiful gift bags when you need one? Well, my go-to gift lately has been the gift of gift bags. For this bag, I used patterned paper to make a bag collar, and added a Valentine image matted with circles. I love how cute it looks. Then just some ribbon and we have a pretty little package.

Thinking of You Gift Bag

Lately for me it's been all about gift bags. Since I came across my stash of decoupage flowers, I can't wait to roll out gift bag after gift bag. The cool thing about these bags is it takes so little to make an elegant gift bag.

She's kind of a big deal

There are some of the coolest ideas for decorating gift bags on Pinterest, and I couldn't wait to try this adorable princess bag - well, on Pinterest, the inspiration were princess bags for girls' birthday parties. But I didn't have any princess images - only this fashion clipart. Tell me this isn't the cutest idea! 

Okay, maybe it's truly hokey, but I couldn't resist.

Around the World at Paper Ala Mode

When Darcy asked us to use Around the World for our theme this week for the Paper Ala Mode Challenge, and I found this Cocktail image from our sponsor, Sheepski Designs, I immediately thought of one of my favorite phrases when I was younger and wanted to start drinking in the morning - IT'S 5 O'CLOCK SOMEWHERE! Around here, the heat is setting in, so there's plenty of reasons for having a cool beverage. I used a die cut from Treat Bag Topper from Dreaming Tree for my background. The papers are just scraps.

It's Good to be in Love

I really love Bugaboo's Stella and Gus - so thought they would be perfect for a gift bag. It's really quite simple, but it is fun.

I'm really enjoying decorating gift bags - stretches my creativity in a new way. Though today's is mighty basic! No real creativity there! I do love this Bugaboo's BugJJ29Again stamp - and was thrilled to find one all colored up in my stash.

Just look at this simple decorated bag! I've been dying to go through my stash and actually USE items, rather than tossing. Here I'm using a sentiment I used in a class that I taught years ago....and a flower that was gifted to me....also years ago. I've been on a bit of a gift bag kick lately, but I'm telling you....if you want to get rid of stash, gift bags is a great way to go!

SVG Cuts Chocolate-Dipped Strawberry

I've been dying to use these strawberries from my stash, and thought a gift bag would be the perfect use for them. I used three sizes of strawberries from Chocolate-Covered Strawberry by SVGCuts. 

True Friends Gift Bag

I love decorating gift bags and decided they themselves make great gifts. I cut the background shapes. To add dimension, I used a decoupage floral arrangement I received from a former neighbor. I think they look pretty. 

Since 2001? Whew! Featured Stamper Challenge

Well, actually this is a special gift - but still a secret. Featured Stamper is one of my fave challenges at Splitcoast Stampers. This gift bag design was inspired by Featured Stamper #639 - I used her basic design. I chose a floral digital paper pattern for my design. I used Kadoodle Bug's A Special Gift title for the sentiment.

Today I chose a patterned gift bag, then added a label and decoupage flowers. Simple! I have had these decoupage flowers in my stash for years - think I finally found a great use for them. So fun and easy peasy! Love the look of this gift bag.
