Sky Scenes Christmas

Today I went with a Christmas card (getting ready for next year already!) using Sky Scenes.  Added a skating penguin and some poinsettias from my stash.  I added a lacey border around the "moon," and a simple border - Voila!  Actually pretty quick and easy design.

Sky Scenes New Release

Today I'm using Sky Scenes.  It's pretty simple, but check out We Are 3's Facebook page for fab samples every day.  Totally cool!

Featured Stamper - December 27

Here's my CASE for this week's Featured Stamper.  The marbled paper is handmade by a friend of my sister's.  I do not know who created the flower.  The sentiment is using ndividual alphabet letters from the ABC file from Hedgehog Studios.  Sweet!

Ducking Jeeps for Christmas

Is everyone set for Christmas?  Have any Jeep owners on your gift list?  Well, here's an idea for you.  In case you haven't heard, there is this phenomenon among Jeep owners - along with their traditional wave - they are now "ducking" other Jeep owners.  For my Ubly friends, it's much like "Flamingoing!"  My sister - a Jeep owner - is celebrating her birthday today.  So one of my birthday gifts for her is a set of ducking tags.  The tradition generally includes actual rubber ducks - but I've read articles about people finding carrying those to be inconvenient - she can always add those if she wishes.  These, however, she'll be able to throw in her purse.

I used Real Jeeps have Square Headlights from Creative Fabrica for the shape.  Then Baby Duck Cartoon - also from Creative Fabrica.

And, finally, the message on the back reads, "YOU'VE BEEN DUCKED BY A FELLOW JEEPER!  With all the crazy in the world, take a moment to smile!  Take a photo and post on Facebook #DuckDuckJeep"  I had a ball designing this tag.  I hope this inspires other Jeep owners.  Of course, I'm already thinking about Easter Eggs I can include....like the shape of Neebish Island on the fender.

Hers actually won't have the holly on the front fender - I added that for a Christmas tag challenge with the Eclips Users Group earlier this month.

Monday Greetings Christmas Clean Challenge

This week at the Monday Greetings Challenge, the theme is Christmas Clean.  Such an easy challenge because clean generally means no fuss.  I chose my new poinsettia die for a nice clean look - then somewhere along the way I forgot about the clean look and added some glittered poinsettias and loads of pretty beads.  Add a sentiment - and I was finished.  It really does make me smile.  Come join the Christmas Clean challenge.

We Are 3 Something Blue

It's Christmas Eve, and that means I should have a Christmas card to share - but oh, no!  Today I went with a nod to Harry Potter.  The card is made with papers from the beautiful Something Blue collection by We Are 3.

The Harry Potter Owl is from 2 Cute Ink.  I added some sequins.

Holiday Letters Snowflake

For this week's Featured Stamper at Splitcoast, I decided to CASE a snowflake.  It's made with paper from the Holiday Letters collection.  It's a wonderfully easy snowflake to make - I wanted a "large" snowflake, so chose to use 12x12 paper.  Don't know what I was thinking....the snowflake ended up being about 3 ft. in diameter!  We did manage to find a place to hang it - since we won't be socializing for the holidays, it looks good above our kitchen table.

Sentimental Canvas at We Are 3

I've created another card showcasing the gorgeous Sentimental Canvas and a sentiment from the Thoughtfulness set.

I found a wreath and some roses in my stash and used them to embellish.  Easy peasy - I love how it came out.  Please stop by the We Are 3 Facebook Page to see the other fabulous, gorgeous cards by the design team.

Snippy Scrappers and Borders

My, the weeks are flying by!  The Snippy Scrappers met again this week with some new ideas for borders.

The critters are a bit difficult to see - they are a variety of pandas from Kadoodle Bug.
This border is a simple layered border, but allows the focus to be on the title attached to it.  For this album, I'm using Free Digital Scrapbooking's April Showers.

Fairy Holiday and 'Tis the Season

I received this new die for Christmas, and I just had to make a card immediately.  I really, really, REALLY love poinsettias. I'm kind of loving how it came out.

Creative Memories Virtual Crop Layout #6

My crafting mojo returned with some fun layouts at the Creative Memories Virtual Crop.  I absolutely had to finish the scrapbook for my niece....maybe with any luck, I can get it out to her before Christmas.  Now I get to choose papers to use for the next volume.  The deer is colored digitally.  I couldn't resist that cute little deer face!

I wish I could share the photos.  As this will be the last page in the book, I always try to choose a special photo - I couldn't resist choosing a photo of my nephew looking into his baby's eyes.  Okay, one book down - hopefully many more to go if I can coax my niece back into the habit of sending photos.

Creative Memories Virtual Crop

My mojo seems to have flown the coop.  In an attempt to lure it back, I decided to join the Creative Memories Virtual Crop.  I decided to not worry about completing all the sketches, as that is enormously time consuming for the weekend - getting in the way of life.  I completed three of the six layouts, two for my niece's book.  The papers I chose for this book are beautiful with the fab deer from Star Jam Lines.  They are so beautiful with the wonderful flowers for antlers, don't you think?

The circles are from Monica's Creative Room.  The deer are colored digitally.  I printed them twice in different sizes.  The sentiment is from Love SVG.

Creative Memories Sketch

Today I'm showcasing another of the fabulous sketches shared at the Creative Memories virtual crop this weekend.

The fab background is digital paper from Little Scraps of Heaven.  The banners are from Miss Kate Cuttables.

Zoom Layout from Snippy Scrappers

I'm back today with another layout from a Snippy Scrappers Zoom session earlier this month.  I used Kawaii Ornament Digi Kit from Little Scraps of Heaven.  The photo will be my grandson decked out as a zombie courtesy of Halloween.

The fab zombie came from Creative Fabrica, and I think my grandson is gonna love it, don't you?  Good zombie embellishments are hard to find.

The journaling came from my daughter-in-law's Facebook thoughts, and it totally cracked me up with the photo.

Snippy Scrappers Pinwheel Layout

Well, I'm a little late on posting - I created this layout with the Snippy Scrappers at the beginning of the month.  Isn't it gorgeous?  So is my great-niece whose photos will complete the pages.

The title was computer generated, and I used deer from StarJam Lines.

Eclips Users Group Tag Challenge

Hope you all are enjoying the 12 Tags of Christmas!  It's Day 11, which means there's just two more tags to share at the Eclips Users Group.  Today I'm showcase a sticker I think I purchased when I first started papercrafting about 15 years ago!  In fact, I bought these stickers at Ben Franklin - I miss that place!!!! The scalloped edge behind it is cut with my Eclips using Tag Decor Background from My Treasured Kutz.  Simple - but love how it looks!!!!

I just love that sticker pattern and glad I finally put it to good use!

Eclips Users Group Tag Challenge: Day 10

It's Day 10 for our "12 Tags of Christmas" challenge, meaning we're making a different tag for each day.  My tag has three Ho!s, using just text filled with patterned papers.

Power Poppy Bloomie CASE

The challenge is to CASE a Bloomie, a design team member at Power Poppy.  I chose Gloria to CASE - specifically her technique in her Forest Fellas card of November 17 on which her background included subtle snowflakes.  Gloria's subtle use of snow in her blue background inspired me here....I wanted to see if I could duplicate the pretty blue background digitally with snowflakes.  I'm disappointed in my photo because I'm quite proud of my folds on this elf's skirt....in the photo, I lost that illusion.  I pretty much followed Gloria's card design as well, changing out the scalloped frame for a frame scalloped only on one side.  Power Poppy is giving away scores of prizes, so this weekend is a good time to join them.

Let's Hear it for the 9th Tag of Christmas!

The angels must be watching me - finding time to complete all 12 Tags of Christmas on time for the Eclips Users Group Challenge and one for the current Crafty Gals challenge sponsored by We Are 3.  I'm showcasing an angel from Treasured Box Designs.  She's cut with my Eclips and layered.  The paper is from We Are 3's Snowmen collection...do notice how well centered the plaid pattern is on the angel's dress....I'd like to take credit for such perfect alignment - but it truly just happened by circumstance.  I added google eyes (just easier that way - LOL!)

The Eighth Tag of Christmas for The Eclips Users Group

Today I'm showcasing the lovely Hollyberries for the 12 Days of Christmas at the Eclips Users Group.  I have to say, this tag is nothing like my vision!  The fab holly is Hollyberries from Power Poppy.  The tag shape is from SVG Cuts' Thank You for the Music.

Eclips Users Group 12 Days of Christmas Tags

Today is Day 7 of the 12 Days of Christmas Tags at the Eclips Users Group.   Design paper is Nothing But Freebies' Enamel Gold.  Circle is from Monica's Creative Room.  Holly is a Power Poppy digital stamp - Hollyberries.  The tag is strung on ribbon.

A Taste of Christmas

It's Sunday and time for another tag at the Eclips Users Group.  It's also Featured Stamper day.  I thought I would try to combine those two challenges - in hopes that the Featured Stamper had a tag in her gallery.   She had one on the very first page that is just perfect!  I like using nontraditional colors for Christmas, so the stocking is cut from the We Are 3 collection Daydreams.  Hope you can join us this week at the Featured Stamper.

Paper Ala Mode Challenge

Today Paper Ala Mode's challenge is Christmas. I can't believe it's that time of year already (especially since it's actually July as I write this). But as I get older, these days just do go by too quickly!
Yes, it's a shaped card cut on my eClips using a Layered Doily from Monica's Creative Room, papers from our sponsor We Are 3, and a We Are 3 printable.  The sentiment is from the Hope set.

Lots of layers, and the top poinsettia petals are Stickled.  The shape is enhanced with gems.  All the patterned papers are cut from Fairy Holiday.  The printable is from the Roses set.  The other Design Team members have done an amazing job on this challenge, so be sure to stop by Paper Ala Mode and have a look.  We'd love to see your Christmas cards as well.  Remember, the challenge runs for two weeks.

12 Days of Christmas Tags for Eclips Users

The current challenge at the Eclips Users Group is 12 Days of Christmas Tags.  WooHoo!  Now, this is always a challenge to be "creative" 12 days in a row!  LOL!  I adore a lot of what Miss Kate Cuttables puts out - but seldom take the time to use the svgs.  Today I had some time to play, so here is Miss Kate Cuttables" Tall Snowman.

I cut the tag at 5" tall.  I ADORE how it came out.

Santa for Eclips Users Tag Challenge

It's Day 4 of the Eclips Users Tag Challenge, and you know what that means!  Yep, I'm outta ideas!  LOL!  Today I'm celebrating Santa.  Right now we have perfect flip-flop weather, but during this season, I sometimes find myself dreaming of a white Christmas.   I used the adorable Santa SVG from SVG Cuts.  This file is one of my all-time faves because it's so easy to assemble.  It's all paper pieced - and I added some fun eyes.  I mean to emboss his beard and hat fur - but I got so involved in assembling, I forgot!  So just imagine it being embossed in some cool folder.  LOL!
