Creative Confetti Challenge - Sketch

This week at Power Poppy, the Creative Confetti Challenge is a sketch challenge. Of course, the challenge is to create a card using the sketch - but I am working on a gift of gift bags, so no time to work on a card. However, why not use this sketch to decorate a gift bag? It seems it will make a nice birthday gift bag using Power Poppy's Tea Cake with Strawberries.
I backed my sketch with an embossed purple matting, as my finished product was too small for the bag I had available.  It was a bit photographing this large bag - I just can't get the lighting correct.

Here is a close-up of my Tea Cake.  While coloring this, I was watching Buddy vs. Duff - like Buddy and Duff, I wanted to add lots of color to my desert, so a bit of chocolate-strawberry for my cake flavors - LOL!
For my colorful paper patterns, I used Spring Butterflies, Too.

Forever Young

Here's a two-page layout I made for my 50th birthday. This is where all this papercrafting life began! As my hubby for some reason thought I wanted to scrapbook and gave me about $300 worth of scrapbooking supplies! WHAT WAS HE THINKING????? Since we were newlyweds, I indulged him and took a class.....or two.....or three....and the rest is history!!!!! I wish someone would have taken a picture of my face when I opened my gift - it had to be one of my best acting roles, as my hubby was so excited! There is a silver cloud to this story - since my hubby is responsible for my papercrafting addiction, he never once has complained about the amount of time or money I spend. :D My friends and family did get some fun pics of us enjoying my 50th birthday celebration - so 15 years later, it's finally been scrapped.
My layout is inspired by the April double-page challenge at Stick It Down!  For my background, I used a pinwheel of paper patterns from Look Up from We Are 3.  My title (which does not show up well in the photo) is made from rub-ons I had in my stash.

Paper Ala Mode April Showers

Happy Saturday! This week at Paper Ala Mode, our theme is April Showers, sponsored by Bugaboo. This is one of my favorite digi stamps from Bugaboo. I decided to create a raindrop background by using the Jitter effect in my photo editing program - using a raindrop from May Flowers by DigiCrea.
As I'm designing this (in March), we are expecting quite a rainstorm - but I suspect by the time this posts, we will finally have lots of sunshine.  Why not make a splash and play along?  You have until May 11!  Click HERE for details.

We Are 3 Winter Serenity Single-Layer Card

Thank you, Splitcoast Stampers, for picking such a great Featured Stamper this week.
I selected a simple card to CASE.  I used Winter Serenity for the background of my single-layer card.  The sentiment is from Power Poppy.

Follow Your Dream

We interrupt our many visits to doctor offices for my hubby to bring you a card for the Creative Confetti Challenge at Power Poppy. I did manage a card for the Kindness challenge - creating a card with a kind thought.
For this card I used the Beautiful Feather file from Love SVG - colored with a watercolor effect, rather than detailed shaded coloring.  The Wishes Come True sentiment is from Bross Art Designs.  I didn't stop there.  I embossed a third feather in copper, added beading and string.

We Are 3's Look Up Digital Papers

I so love my scrapbooking for so many reasons, but this layout is one of my favorites. This design was inspired by the Stick It Down Sketch Challenge. So much fun! I used We Are 3's Look Up collection, which is available here.

Easter Lamb

Big surprise! Another quick and simple card!

Merry Christmas We Are 3

Happy Tuesday! I sure had a great Easter...but that might mean we now need to begin thinking about Christmas!
For the background, I used Spring Butterflies Too.  The sentiment is from the new collection Magical Sparkle.  It's a quick-and-easy card.

Easter Treat Bags with Bunny Faces

Happy Tuesday, Everyone! Have you all recovered from the sugar rush from chocolate bunnies, Peeps, and marshmallow eggs? Here are some bunny bags I made to share some sweet treats with others.
I used mostly scraps to make the bags, but it was fun to get different combinations of paper, face design, and ear colors.
I'm afraid my photos don't do these cute bags any justice.  The bunny faces are from Apex (Easter Bunny).  The bag and ears are a modified version of Spring Pals Treat Sack (SVG Cuts).

Gift Bag

Here's a little gift bag I decorated for a gift bag of gift bags.
Instead of a sentiment, I decided to use the heart stickers from my stash.

Color Burst

Happy Saturday! For today, I have another simple card using Color Burst. As usual, you can find this paper collection HERE. It's one of my favorite collections.
These digital cards may be way too simple, but I love a simple, yet elegant card.

The Eclips Users Group Bunny Hop Challenge

This week at the Sizzix Eclips Users Group, Jan organized a Bunny Tag Hop - tags with a bunny theme. Easter isn't Easter without Peeps, so I chose to make some Peep tags. You really can't get enough of Peeps, can you? But I was torn - I just really wanted to use the Easter Bunny faces from Apex...so I added faces to my Peeps. With Print2Cut, they were EASY. I used papers in traditional Peeps colors.  #eclipsecalmaker
This was a really fun challenge with loads of possibilities...lots of more ornate tags that I really need to make.

Eclips Users Group and Bunny Hop

Okay, this week I am determined to complete all five bunny tags for the Eclips Users Group Bunny Hop - perhaps I'll even remember to post every day. :D I loved Simply Crafty's Bunny Gift Box...but the challenge is tags. So I just used the bunny and made a great bunny tag that I've become so fond of.  #eclipsecalmaker

The Eclips Users Easter Bunny Tag Challenge

Don't you just LOVE all the SVG files available for cutting on electronic cutters? The Eclips Users group has a five-day Bunny Hop this week - and it's a really tough choice on just what bunny files to use. Today I used a bunny from Digi Playground's Layered Bunny for my tag.

I added Flourish Design from Dreaming Tree (FREEBIE) for the bunny to set on.  Thank you, Dreaming Tree, for sponsoring us this week!  #eclipsecalmaker

Wreath Boxwood and Cranberry

This week at Power Poppy, the Creative Confetti challenge chose Spring as the challenge. I made this card for a Spring birthday.
The image is from Power Poppy - Wreath Boxwood and Cranberry.  For a Spring touch, I colored the berries a bright pink.  The birthday sentiment is from Bee Greetings (My Scrap Chick).  The rest - just white cardstock.

This was loads of fun.  You must stop by Creative Confetti to see the beautiful entries from other participants.  Then why not have a go at it yourself?

We're Bursting with Color at We Are 3

This month Bonnie created priceless digital papers. The new Color Burst collection is perfect for quick and simple cards. Here is a card that probably took five minutes to design and make. When life gets in the way, we often don't get to spend nearly enough time crafting. I love a watercolor background - so the watercolor background and a sentiment. What more do you need? The sentiment is a freebie from Love SVG.

The Eclips Users Bunny Hop Challenge

This week at the Eclips Users Group, several of us are participating in a Bunny Hop - making bunny-themed tags. I don't generally use Basic Shapes on my machine, but today did so to create three fun tags using scraps from my stash.  #eclipsecalmaker
I used a Wreath from Creative Fabrica for the stars...and a sentiment from We Are's Spring collection.  Here's a close up of one of the tags.
I popped the ears a bit, but it's really difficult to tell. I'm on Day 2 and already finding it a challenge in itself to find inspiring bunny tags.

Eclips Users Bunny Hop Challenge

This tag was Pinterest inspired. You see, it looked quick and easy to me! However, my machine had other plans, so after 12-15 tries (I lost count), I finally have one usable tag! The paper is from We Are 3 - Ladybug Lace. I used a bunny from Bunny Set (Miss Kate Cuttables) and I think the Hoppy Easter is just clipart from a Google search.  #eclipsecalmaker

Enjoy

I absolutely love digital papers with a watercolor effect. I love watercolor backgrounds, but hate the mess - so digital watercolor backgrounds are super. For this Pinterest-inspired card, I created a digital mask using a lattice from Monica's Creative Room. I used paper from the new Color Burst collection. I thought this came out to be cute.  The sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Birthday collection.

OMG! It's Spring!

I just love Bugaboo - so I always look forward to challenges sponsored by Bugaboo. This is a card for Paper Ala Mode at The Outlawz - Spring sponsored by Bugaboo.
The image, Swinging Monkey, is so cute in itself, that I didn't have to work too hard to make a fun card.  I also appreciate when stamps come both black line and pre-colored - while I love coloring, it is time consuming.  Since my hubby is still recuperating from surgery, I opted to use Bugaboo's pre-colored monkey.

I'm Sorry

Have you heard? The Outlawz has a Progressive Freebie Challenge each month - with a freebie just for joining in the fun! Stop by The Outlawz to request your freebie, if you haven't already. I used this month's Progressive Freebie from Odd Ball Stamps for this card, as well as papers from the new We Are 3 collection, Spring Butterflies. I so love the flourishes in this paper pattern. Although it's just a quick-and-easy card, I kind of like it.
Now hop on over the The Outlawz and see the marvelous creations from the Progressive Freebie participants, and stop by each day to see new entries.

Gift Bag

I'm packaging up some sweet packages for a gift of gift bags - who doesn't need to have a bunch of special gift bags in their stash? These are fun. Today's also fit in well with this week's Creative Confetti challenge at The Power Poppy - Just Go 3D. For my image, I used Pear Blossoms from A Creative Need.  The sentiment is from We Are 3's All-Occasion collection.
This is a fabulous idea for a challenge - be sure to click HERE to join in the fun.  If you play along, you have the chance to win a gift certificate to Power Poppy.  You have until the end of the month to play.

We Are 3 Spring Butterflies

Here are some cute little cards I made using Spring Butterflies and Spring Butterflies, Too (We Are 3). They were fun to make - mason and jam jars. I used Preserves Canning Jars (My Scrap Chick) and had a ball putting them together.

We Are 3 April Release

This week at We Are 3, we are releasing beautiful butterfly patterns. As usual lately, I made a simple card - also including a new sentiment and a cute little image perfect to go with the Twins sentiments. I thought it would be fun to accent the card with some little butterflies.
By the way, if you haven't been to the We Are 3 store recently, you must go!  Bonnie has been sooo busy - there are some fun new items available.

Fairly plain and simple - I love the Birds of a Feather, though.  Be sure to check out the We Are 3 Facebook Page to see fabulous cards from the design team.
