A Wedding Blessing

I was inspired by a session at the Card Maker Success Summit to spend some time just using my stash.  I dip into my stash constantly, but have way too much in there that never seems to work for the card I'm thinking of.  So this time, I let my stash dictate what I'm thinking of.  I played for about an hour - made three cards - but only one I'm willing to share.  LOL!

I added a couple stickers from a wedding sticker sheet.  For a somewhat elegant wedding look, I used gold, black, and white papers from my stash.

Layout for Stick It Down Single-Page Challenge

Every month Stick It Down adds new sketches for a challenge.  For the single-page layout this month, I added digital washi tape as a border to my background.  I cut out three tags with my Eclips.  The tags and background are from We Are 3.

You can join the challenge here, on the Stick It Down challenge blog.  Visit the page and join the fun.

Design Team Member for the Kerst Christmas Challenge

Today's card is for the Kerst Christmas Challenge, which should have been posted a couple weeks ago when I joined the Kerst Christmas Design Team. I will blame all the "decisions" I've had to make to get my bathroom remodel rolling - but it possibly may have actually been a "Green Valley moment" forgetting to blog. I did manage to get it posted before the new challenge begins in April.  The Christmas Magic paper is digital from We Are 3.

The adorable image I used is from our sponsor, The Paper Shelter, called Heavenly Christmas Carol.  She's precolored, and I printed extra trees to use in my snowy hills.  I added a gem for the sun...and there you go!

Be Merry - or Be Scary?

My second actual attempt at coloring a shaded image.  I chose pastel colors for something different.  Digi is Cute Kittens by Fabrika Fantasy - sentiment is computer generated.

I know....I know!  I have a long way to go!!!!!  LOL!  I am impressed, though, that I stayed with it....learned lots....and hope to find time to try again.  I do have to ask myself, however, should the sentiment been "Be Merry" or "Be Scary????"

Virtual Crop with Creative Memories

I made this cute layout for one of the Creative Memories Virtual Crop sketches.  There are always six sketches to choose from each month.  The adorable papers are Touch of Teal and Enchanted by We Are 3.   I used some borders from my stash that integrate well with the papers.  The gorgeous stained-glass train photo was taken during one of our anniversary trips to Albuquerque.   I also added a train sticker from Jo-lee - popped up.

Train trips are dear to my heart - I've had this fascination since I was small and my father brought home a Lionel train for Christmas.

Bird Song at We Are 3

My theme today is Bird Song - how perfect for Spring.  As soon as I saw the gorgeous We Are 3 Alcohol Splashes and Mosaic papers, I knew they'd be perfect together.  I'm thrilled to also be using Bird Song Sentiments from We Are 3 to make popped-up wreaths.  For the third card, I combined paper patterns.

These were really fun to make.

One for Paper Ala Mode at The Outlawz

I've got gobs of cards I've been itching to make with the new Alcohol Splashes, so when The Outlawz Paper Ala Mode Challenge chose spring colors, I pulled out one of the favorite patterns and went to town.  All of the elements are using the same sheet of Alcohol Splashes paper.  Even the flowers are paper pieced with the same patterned paper - I used another sheet with more greens to paper piece the flower centers and stems.

Spring Tags at Eclips Users Group

Today's tag is pretty simple, using some digital paper from the 50's Diner Doodle Pantry Check pack from Doodle Pantry, and I dropped some flowers on top from the Bouquet of Red Poppies - I changed the flowers to blue using Word.

New Spring Tag for Eclips Users Group

Here's the fourth Spring Tag I'm showcasing for the fabulous Eclips Users Group Spring Tag Challenge.  Had fun creating a shaker tag.  The sentiment is a digital from We Are 3, and I added clear sequins for the shake.  And for the tag?  Here's a Holiday Tag - alright, intended for Christmas - but the white flowers make me think of white lilies.

Botanical Bouquet with We Are 3

My tag today was inspired by a presentation during the Card Maker Success Summit.  The flowers are colored digitally.  The sentiment is from my stash.

I'm entering this in the Eclips Users Group Spring Tag Challenge.

Eclips Users "Spring Tags" Challenge

It's the Spring Tag Challenge at the Eclips Users Group.  Besides loving creating quick and easy tags, I managed to get my rear in gear early enough to actually plan them, rather than last-minute simple tags.  For the tag I used scraps from my stash and the gorgeous Fantasy Flower available at Dreaming Tree.  WooHoo!  I started with three 3"x3" card bases folded in half.  I glued them together to create a teepee.  I'm especially fond of this tag.

Creative Fabrica Ink Flowers

A new challenge starts today at the Eclips Users Group with the theme of Spring Tags.  Who doesn't get a warm, fuzzy feeling from a colorful heart?

The adorable paper patterns are Ink Flowers (available in Creative Fabrica).  I printed the dotted pattern inside the heart - the banner is also from that collection.  Gotta say, I am in love with this collection!

I added a sentiment on the banner and threads I've had in my stash forever!

The tag itself comes from the SVG Cuts ID Tags set.

Supplies:
    ID Tags - SVG Cuts
    Ink Flowers - Creative Fabrica
Scripty Words - SVG Cutting Files

New Releases from We Are 3

It's no secret that I love the new Alcohol Splashes - today I combined them with the new Mosaic collection.

I decided to use the Alcohol Splashes from We Are 3 because it gives me a chance to have that bright multi-media look without the mess.  I added a sentiment (Hope) and some flowers.

The sentiment is digitally colored using the Alcohol Splashes pattern and cut with my Eclips.  The flowers are also colored digitally.

These two digital paper collections kick start your mojo.  Come play with us!

A Quickie for the Creative Memories Virtual Crop

I played with the Creative Memories Virtual Crop last weekend, and this is one of my layouts from a sketch.  Papers are digital.  The Touch of Teal and Enchanted collections are from We Are 3, and the title is computer generated.

A Beautiful Collection

I love the bright, colorful patterns Bonnie created with alcohol inks for this digital paper pack - Alcohol Splashes.  This is the artistic feel I always wanted to achieve with my Color Bursts - but now I can do it with no mess!  Yay!

My first project using these papers included a goodbye card and cake topper for a friend who is moving away.  She's moving to Surprise, Arizona - so the "Surprise" focus is letting her know that town is lucky to have her.  Here's a closeup of the cake topper I made for a little going-away luncheon.  The words are computer-generated - paper piecing SURPRISE with an Alcohol Splashes pattern.  The cactus is also from We Are 3 (Camille's Cactus).  I also used Alcohol Splashes to color in the cactus.
The card sentiments and cake toppers are printed on glitter cardstock.

The pack includes exciting colors - available in the shop for just $3.  Here's a peek at what you will receive.

Cute as a Button

I'm nearly finished with my niece's scrapbook Using Paris Cafe - amazing since it seems I barely have time to work on it these days.

I added a computer-generated title and a rat here and there.

Baby, It's Cold Outside

Kept with a cool blue/white color scheme for this Christmas card, and added an appropriate winter sentiment.  The "cold" sentiment is from Miss Kate Cuttables.

Grateful for You

Okay, I'm not even going to tell you how long I've been wanting to try this digital coloring method.

I managed to keep the color scheme as I'd hoped - green trees, camel-colored hat, wintery background...all was not lost.

Spring's Coming!

You know I love me some Heartfelt Creations (even though they refuse to go digital).  I used a lattice overlay from Monica's Creative Corner and Wild Asters.

The sentiment is from We Are 3's Itty Bitty set.  I'm pretty pleased with the results.

3D at Paper Ala Mode

I'm so excited to show you the adorable image #41 "Emmy's Hat."

Emmy was easy and fun to color digitally.  Check out other fun 3D projects with Sheepski Designs stamps on the Outlawz Paper Ala Mode Challenge page.

Lust

It's a new Progressive Freebie at The Outlawz, and the image is Lust.  You know I love me some digital coloring - but here's the first hair coloring I can say I'm proud of.  I watched a video that recommended a separate layer and using Gaussian Blur for shadows rather than Dodge/Burn.  Seems to be working out well for me.

I colored digitally and added a balloon background from We Are 3.

Butterfly Bear from 2 Cute Ink

Since Spring is only two weeks away, I chose the gorgeous Butterfly Bear for today's card.  I can't wait  for the flowers to bloom.  It's truly a wonderful time of year.  I pulled spring-colored papers from my stash and added an Easter sentiment - from my stash as well.

He's colored digitally - I've been practicing my shading using layers of Gaussian Blur.

Featured Stamper for Splitcoast Stampers

These flowers are colored digitally, and you can see in the background flowers - also colored digitally.

Finally I added some pearls to top it all off.  I hope someone will enjoy this beautiful card as much as I enjoyed making it.

New Release from We Are 3 - Botanical and Botanical Cluster

Had some fun today with We Are 3 papers and printables.  I couldn't resist these two digis, which I find particularly beautiful.

I resized the flowers.  I colored them digitally.

Botanical Bouquet and Botanical Cluster

Well, I've been wanting to create some cut-edge floral cards for a while, and when I saw the new Botanical Bouquet and Botanical Cluster, I knew just what to do.

The flowers are colored digitally and cut on my Eclips - with some of them popped.  I also added some gems for shimmer.  The sentiments are from the Spring set.
