Little Garden Layout

Wow!  The Little Garden paper collection brings you not one, not two, not three, but four beautiful pastel-colored striped patterns.

Some of the "journaling" is printed on vellum....left over from the beginning of my crafting days when vellum was so popular.  I seldom use vellum because I don't care for most methods of adhering it....but I ran it through my Xyron...and I'm very pleased with the results....though I really do prefer my vellum have some texture.  Can't have everything, I guess.

Snowflake Village from Tutti Designs

This card is for the Kerst Christmas Challenge.  I took the Snowflake Village from our sponsor, Tutti Dies, and cut it apart to adhere on the card.  I'm really pleased with how it turned out.  The background papers and the sentiment are from We Are 3.

Another Tag for the Christmas Tag Challenge at Ecal Users

It's an exciting day in December as today is the last day of the 12 Tags of Christmas Challenge at the Ecal Users Group.  I'm thrilled that I was able to participate in all 12 days.  Woo Hoo!  Today is this simple tag.  I used a tag shape from We Are 3 covered with scraps from my stash.  I had a poinsettia in my stash that conveniently was from the same paper I chose for the border.  These papers and the poinsettia have been in my stash forever.  Makes a cute, simple Christmas tag.

Frosty Days and More Christmas From We Are 3

Sharing another card created for the Kerst Christmas Challenge using the sweet More Christmas sentiments and Frosty Days available from We Are 3.  You know I love my Christmas card making!  Since I've been practicing with Word and picture effects, I've been creating more single-layer designs.  I printed the background paper, snowflakes, and sentiment all on one layer.  Gotta say, it did take me all day to pick out snowflakes, though.  I am quite pleased with the outcome.

Christmas Tag Challenge at Ecal Users Group

I'm thrilled to be participating in the Ecal Users Group 12 Days of Christmas Tags, and more thrilled to be introducing Gift Box Hang Tag.  You know I love me some simple crafts, and Dreaming Tree's are always so much fun to play with.  Yesterday I browsing Dreaming Tree to see what's new and found this file in their freebie gallery.  I used some patterned paper from my stash and embossed the ribbon with an old folder - the snowflake was from my stash. Ooh!

Be sure to check out the Dreaming Tree site to see more new releases from his fabulous designers.  Lots of cute stuff in their shop.

Baby, It's Cold Outside

Here's what I can up with for today's tag for the Ecal Users Group Christmas Tag Challenge.  I really love Miss Kate Cuttables titles and decided to use one of them with a simple Print 2 Cut for today's tag.  Fabulously easy!  I just left the colors the same as Miss Kate had in the png file, print, and cut.

Tag Challenge at the Eclips Users Group

Playing in the Ecal Users Group Christmas Tag Challenge using Nativity Christmas (Design Bundles).  Came across the Design Bundles Dog Ornaments with 18 different patterns.  The Santa Paws is Coming to Town works best for a package topper/tag for this year's pet gift - I thought the varied color scheme of Pastel Splatters would look rather elegant.  I did a Print 2 Cut and called it done.

Fantasy Textured Christmas

I'm thrilled to be joining the Ecal Users Group for their sixth day of Christmas Tags Challenge.  I used the gorgeous Fantasy Textures paper.  Isn't it stunning?  I added some snowflakes from my stash.   The digital paper is from We Are 3.

The fabulous stocking svg is from Design Bundles.

Ten New Christmas Ornaments at Design Bundles!

It's a happy day at the Ecals Users Group  where we are on our sixth day of Christmas tags being debuted.  I'm thrilled to be joining the fun with this EASY, adorable Christmas Ornament/Tag - did I remember to say EASY?  I decided this didn't need anything - so I've added nothing to make it fancy or whatnot....just an EASY quick cut for a heartfelt tag.

The paper is Thunderglow from Fairy Hugs.

I used the new Christmas Ornaments from Design Bundles for the design.

Another for the Ecal Users Group

Yikes!  Many digital suppliers are offering ornaments this year - what wonderful tags and package toppers they make.  What can I say?  Here is a third tag/package topper/ornament.  I created this for the Ecal Users Group Tag Challenge.  It's the 12 Days of Christms - and we are on Day 5.

I had one heck of a time deciding what to put behind the deer.  The background is Fairy Hugs cardstock that I chose for the bokeh effect that looks like Christmas lights to me.  The snowflakes are also cut from the Fairy Hugs cardstock.  I think it makes a sweet tag.

Merry Christmas!

Another fab theme for Kerst Christmas Challenge this month - Snow and/or Glitter.  Oh, yeah!  I actually designed this card in 90 degrees.  Love the Tutti die we are using - but my old machine didn't really like all the detail.

For my background, I used Frosty Days from our sponsor, We Are 3.  The houses were cut from scraps in my stash.

A Quickie for the Ecal Users Group

Here's a Christmas tag for the new mom's package.  The layers are colored digitally with a little bit of glitter detail for Mom and Baby.  I'm so excited and happy with these free ornaments from Creative Fabrica!

Another Joyous Tag for Ecal Users Group

It's time for the Christmas Tag Challenge and all the inspiration that comes with it on the Ecal Users Group Facebook Page...and I'm celebrating Joyous Occasions.  This time my occasion is more than just Christmas - it's for a holiday wedding - definitely joyous!  Can you think of anything more fitting for a Holiday wedding?  I used the adorable Christmas Ornament - Love, which was free at Creative Fabrica.  I used a variety of digital Silver Foil papers from Paper Farms....I probably should have either glittered or embossed the top couple layer.

Day Two of the Challenge

It's not Christmas until I've wished someone a Merry Cactus - here with a digital sentiment from We Are 3 (Cactus Thoughts).  Fun quirky Southwest sentiments are some of my faves.

The cactus on today's tag is from the Cactus Family Cartoon Set from Design Bundles.

O Holy Night

It's the first day of the Ecal Users Group Tag Challenge, and I'm actually not working at the last minute.  I created a tag cut from Enamel Gold (Nothing but Freebies).  I used Print 2 Cut for the Nativity Scene with Santa Claus (Creative Fabrica), and a sentiment from 'Tis the Season (We Are 3).

Sending a Little Holiday Sparkle

I have been really relaxing lately with coloring - however, I did actually take a break today to find the floor.  I have so many fun digis I haven't used yet and more coming!  The current Kerst Christmas Challenge calls for snow or glitter - I rarely take the time to add glitter.  The Chris Mouse is from We Are 3 - our sponsor...with a little digital coloring.

I added some gems to the tree for dimension.  I decided to add a Christmas sentiment from Snow Globe - also from We Are 3.  I wanted to add some spark and shine, so I added glitter to the snow...blue and white, but the blue obviously is dominant (not by choice).

Splitcoast Stampers Featured Stamper #825

I'm not the most creative, but as soon as I saw this week's Featured Stamper card, I knew I'd be using paper I could turn into candy-cane stripes and using items from my stash.  I love the sentiment rotated to print in between the stripes.  What also made it so perfect for this challenge is that I got to use yet another border from Monica's Creative Room - so I had all that I needed in my computer and stash.

The sentiment was a bit of a challenge and, I have to admit, I nearly walked away from it several times - but I kept at it and in the end, it turned out great.  The sentiment is a We Are 3 sentiment - Both of Us.

I hope you find this inspiring and come join the Featured Stamper Challenge.

Happy Birthday

I tend to have a hard time with masculine cards.  This idea was inspired by an adorable tri-fold card I saw on Etsy.  I decided on all trees.  The beautiful trees are from Ink and Dot....colored digitally.  I layered different trees from the set and cut to be a tri-fold card.  I found the perfect deer at Creative Fabrica - and added a birthday sentiment for my brother-in-law's birthday.  Too cute, eh?

SunRise SunSet from We Are 3

My sister's birthday calls for a special birthday card - so, of course, I used a digital paper from We Are 3 - called SunRise SunSet.  I  I chose a digi from Creative Fabrica called Desert Scene to add to the sun.  I sized the paper so that the desert scene fit the sun.  I printed a second copy and cut out the flower to add for dimension.

I digitally paper pieced the flower with another portion of the SunRise SunSet so that it matches and has the texture of the digi paper.  This just involves layering the Desert Scene on top of the digi paper...and erasing all of paper you don't want to show through.  The sentiment is computer generated.  I just added some matting, and we're good to go.

The Outlawz Challenges - Paper Ala Mode

WooHoo!  I actually finished a product for Paper Ala Mode on time!

I created a scrapbook layout using papers and stickers from Krafted with Copper from Creative Memories.  I've been wanted to create layouts with photos that fill the width of a 12" page - no way of getting that printed at my favorite Walmart photo department.  So today I printed a photo with my new Canon printer.  Unfortunately I can't share photos of my grandson, but the 12" photo is fabulous!  Not sure how long it'll last....but I'm happy if it at least lasts long enough for him and his mother to see.

The title was computer generated.

Please check out the fabulous creations at Paper Ala Mode and come play along.  Here's how to join the fun.

Wednesday Sketch Challenge at The Outlawz

So many plans....and so hard to get motivated to accomplish them!  LOL!  Still have not recovered from having the house painted....can't find my wall art cutting files....or even the fonts I used to reproduce.  So Just managing to sneak in a little time for a challenge or two.  The sketch is from the Wednesday Sketch Challenge at The Outlawz - I used the sketch to create a scrapbook layout. It's a winter scene - but the papers are Cookie Monster (Cookie Monster eyes and Chocolate Chips) for my 2-year-old niece who loves Cookie Monster.

Yikes!  Just found out I missed the challenge!  LOL!  Oh, well....got a layout completed.

Progressive Freebie for The Outlawz

For this month's Progressive Freebie Challenge at The Outlawz, I chose to create a tag and used We Are 3's Canvas Dreams for the background behind my snowman, lacy frame, and tag.

I used the preprinted version of the snowman (Seasons Tweetings - Wink, Wink Ink) and cropped him just a bit to fit into the circle.  You can clearly see and enjoy the amazing detail in this image.

Just for practice, I decide to add the jewels with hot-fix rhinestones, so it took quite a while as this was just my second attempt at this process. I can see I didn't create the straight line I hoped to, but learned much during the process.

I used Love SVG's Coral Monogram Frames for this project.  Be sure to check out The Outlawz to see the fabulous inspiration from the participants and come play along.

New Featured Stamper at Splitcoast

I'm celebrating the arrival of a fun gift from Bonnie Kohane - We Are 3 - and I'm thrilled to share this card with this fun cactus die set (Tim Holtz) that Bonnie gifted me.  For the papers, we have papers from Thunderglow (Fairy Hugs) Digital versions are also available from We Are 3 - Sky Scenes and Fantasy Textures.  The sentiment is digital from We Are 3's Cactus Thoughts.

I'm entering this card in the Featured Stamper Challenge at Splitcoast Stampers.

New Christmas Goodies from We Are 3

I'm thrilled to be back today with We Are 3's latest releases - Hello Santa printable image and Ho Ho Ho digital papers.  Could anything be more exciting  After a very hot summer for many of us, it's finally safe to say that fall is here - though I keep hearing of Midwest temps matching our Southwest temps.  Winter will soon be coming around the corner, though - and these two new beauties are ready for you to celebrate the winter holidays.  Here's Hello Santa - as bright and jolly as the holidays should be.  Isn't he precious?  I used papers from the new Ho Ho Ho digital collection and some holly from Power Poppy.  The sentiment is computer generated.  The border is Monica's Creative Room.

I paper pieced Santa for dimension...Here's a closeup.  Santa comes precolored, as well as a shaded version that can be colored for more interest.  I generally forget fine details like glitter - but did remember this time - just really adds to the final version.

Tell me you're not excited about this cutie!  You know you want this Santa!  So here's where you can find him.

Eclips Users Group Christmas Tags

The Eclips Users Group Christmas Tag Challenge ends in just a few days - this is the first year I'm not looking for ideas last minute.  Thanks to so many companies giving ornament freebies, it's been a cinch this year to make some simple - but useful - Christmas tags.

Decided on a freebie from Dreaming Tree this morning using their new Gift Box Hang Tag and a snowflake from my stash.

Christmas Presents

One good thing about having to color digital images, I can forget all the mess that's on my work desk behind me.  Since I had a little extra time on my hands today, I decided to practice clothing folds - digitally - using Christmas Presents from our sponsor at Kerst - All Dressed Up.  One thing nice about designing is that we are expected to use specific images - images that I would probably never buy - this forces me to color out of my comfort zone.

It is hard to see in the photo, buy my wings ARE actually transparent.  I can see the stars from the background through my wings.  By happenstance, I selected some paper for the background - I was looking for something with some pattern, but not too busy or loud.  By viewing the icons on the computer, I really wasn't sure what this pattern was until I loaded it up.  What a happy coincidence!  Our theme is stars - and this background paper just happens to be full of stars!!!!  How lucky could I get for my first choice!

I did calculate wrong when printing my image and sentiment - but was thrilled to find a solution by leaving a white border just on the sides rather than a full mat.  I was planning to mat and fussy cut my image - but I liked the bold sentiment - so decided if I went with a single-layer design, I could overlap the image and sentiment and have the best of both worlds\ for this month's Kerst Christmas Challenge.

Joy

I used Sledging Pup from our Kerst Challenge sponsor, All Dressed Up, a starry background (star is the theme), and a Joy sentiment.  Everything is digital - easy peasy!  The papers are from We Are 3 - Moon Desert (retired) and Just a Song.  I also have a touch of Real Wood Textures in there from Design Bundles.

Guest Designer with LeighSBDesigns

It’s a good day – I have the opportunity to be a Guest Designer for LeighSBDesigns – Woo Hoo!  My card is all about heart – specifically Heart Blooms.

I digitally colored the image and used Print2Cut to cut five different hearts in varying sizes. I layered the hearts to create one fully bloomed textured heart.  I added a sentiment from the set printed on digital “foil” paper – cutting out a spot to place my heart.  I added a textured background, some gems, and a bow and called it done.

I really enjoyed coloring the heart digitally.  It's so beautiful and feminine.  I also added some gems to jazz it up a bit.  Thank you, Leigh SB Designs, for having me as a guest designer.

I also have to give a shout out to The Outlawz - Leigh SB Designs was the sponsor for a challenge I won through The Outlawz.

Blossom Challenge with Power Poppy

OMG!  I've been so busy, I feared I missed the Blossom Challenge.  I've just been spaced out on STILL trying to get my house back in order after painting - but did get a little back into the swing of things this weekend.  So here's a quickie using Teacake with Strawberries (Power Poppy).  I colored Teacake digitally and added a digital sentiment from Miss Kate Cuttables.

The Blossom Challenge is Gold, Silver, and Shimmer.  I used digital Silver Foil papers for the background and the cake stand...and added a bit of shimmer with sequins.
