Blossom Challenge with Power Poppy

OMG!  I've been so busy, I feared I missed the Blossom Challenge.  I've just been spaced out on STILL trying to get my house back in order after painting - but did get a little back into the swing of things this weekend.  So here's a quickie using Teacake with Strawberries (Power Poppy).  I colored Teacake digitally and added a digital sentiment from Miss Kate Cuttables.

The Blossom Challenge is Gold, Silver, and Shimmer.  I used digital Silver Foil papers for the background and the cake stand...and added a bit of shimmer with sequins.

Elegant Autumn

Here's a quickie I did to sneak an entry into the Featured Stamper challenge.   Of course, it's autumn themed inspired by the cool air we have today and, again, I used digital elements from The Hungry JPEG instead of stamps.  I used the free Autumn Watercolor Flower Bouquet Builder for my elements.  The matted paper is from Creative Memories.

Got Pumpkin?

My share today is using an SVG from Heart-Filled Spaces.  This pumpkin is using tan paper and cut with my Eclips.  The leaf and stem are from scraps in my stash.  Finally, I added an LED light available at the Dollar Tree - comes with remote and the recipient can get a variety of looks with all the different colors and functions.

Winter Loving

Last weekend was the Creative Memories Virtual Crop and I was on a roll.  It got all six entries in.  For this layout, I wish I could show the photos....but just think The Christmas Story.  LOL!

It's the Creative Memories Virtual Crop

You know I love playing in the Creative Memories Virtual Crop - it often takes me a bit out of my comfort zone and the entries always show so many different styles.  Generally, I struggle to complete all six sketches - but not this weekend.  It's always fun.

The photos are from my student teaching experience.  I do always worry about posting photos of other people....but then I realized that these young girls are now all in their 60s!  My ephemera is from my young friend, Mikah.  As much as I love that vintage look, I often don't have a place to use it.  But since I taught typewriting - these were perfect for these pages.

The papers are from Little Garden (retired) by We Are 3.

The Creative Memories Virtual Crop

I was the Creative Memories Virtual Crop this past weekend.  This layout is with Cookie Monster.

Isn't he cute?

As you can see, the Cookie Monster embellishments are cut with my Eclips.  I had a lot of trouble deciding on a background.  While I like the colors of the scrapbooking kit, the patterns don't always lend themselves well for backgrounds.  And it's tough to get the scale just right - not to mention, the papers don't have continuous patterns!!!  These patterns make placement of items awkward.

Meet Bob...Bobby Bones

October is here, and the leaves are falling.  Hopefully the majority of you are experiencing some wonderful colors.  I've been having fun with some new papers and made a Krafted with Copper autumn scrapbook layout.

The title is computer generated using Word.  The papers and embellishments are from Creative Memories.

For the Graduate

Gosh, I can't believe it's October!  I feel like I need to be working on Christmas projects - when I haven't even decided what I want to do for Halloween.  Then graduation days will be here before you know it.  YIKES!  Well, here is a cute graduation card with papers from We Are 3 - SunRise SunSet (behind the owl) and Canvas Dreams.  The owl is precolored and cut on my Eclips. My original plan was to make a small owl in relation to the moon in the SunRise SunSet - instead I cut him out big and bold.  woo Hoo!  I added a sentiment from We Are 3's Graduation set.

Joy

Here's another card using the new release Canvas Dreams over in the We Are 3 Etsy Shop.  The image is a combination of three retired printables from We Are 3.  The sentiment is computer generated.

Just a Note

There's a fun new release over in the We Are 3 Etsy Shop called SunRise SunSet.  You must PRINT these to really appreciate the colors!  If you enjoy a beautiful sunrise or sunset - this collection is for you!  Love them!

I plan to print them all!  My first is called Gorgeous Day.  A perfectly gorgeous day, don't you think?  Thought the Canvas Dreams background would be perfect - by enlarging that, I got a fun textured look.

The flamingo and palm tree are from Kadoodle Bug's Endless Summer set, and the sentiment from Itty Bitty Thoughts by We Are 3.  The faux stitching was done on my cutter.

The pop-up shape is from Love SVG - it's actually a dog frame, but I eliminated the dog faces and liked this wavy kind of shape.

Feeling Festive

Here's one for the new release from We Are 3 - Canvas Dreams.  When I printed my Holly Leaf and berry, they looked much smaller on my computer screen...LOL!  But I do like the look with the bold holly and berries.  The sentiment is from the Merry Christmas - Sparkle set.

By the way, We Are 3 has also just released two other paper collections - Sunrise Sunset and Canvas Sky Dreams.  Watch for samples using these papers in the near future.

There's Never Enough Boos!

The Outlawz have another new Progressive Freebie this month - they are celebrating October with sponsor Odd Ball Art with a fun ghost AND sentiment.  Even though it's only the 9th, I still feel like I'm late to the game because I usually like to complete these right away before I forget.  Odd Ball Art generally creates some quirky designs - but they also have some cute and traditional images - like this beautiful ghost and sweet holiday sentiment.  You can see lots of ghostly inspiration on the Outlawz Freebie Progressive Blog and their Facebook group.

I cropped the sentiment to separate and use the parts with different sizing.  I added a shadow to the BOOS in my eCal software and added a banner to the top line.  I really had fun with this...hurry, you still have time to share your BOOS!

Not a Square at Kerst Christmas

Here's another for the Kerst Christmas Challenge - this one for the theme "Not Square."  The lovely digital stamp is from our sponsor, Sheepski Designs, called "Christmas Candle."  How could I resist the Mason Jar shape?  I had a heck of a time making a decision about shape and finally found a Mason Jar from Creative Fabrica - a fun shape in my digital stash that suited the theme perfectly.  For the lid, I used my first Tim Holtz 3D embossing folder with a funky basket weave pattern - I obviously did not use the folder correctly....but I still like the funky effect and feel it rounded off the design.

I colored the candle digitally and faded the subtle background using my Eclips.  The holly are from my stash.  The sentiment is Miss Kate Cuttables.

Shabby Christmas

Nothing says the holidays like Christmas trees, presents and sleighs, eh?  We don't see many sleighs in Arizona, though.  This gorgeous paper is from We Are 3 called Shabby Christmas.  I created a very simple layout with just some borders and a touch of Little Garden (retired.)  The borders are from Creative Memories.

Beautiful Autumn Flowers from Love SVG

This is the last day of the challenge at the Ecal Users Group with the theme of Autumn Tag.  I decided to go simple, simple with an Autumn print from Love SVG and an Itty-Bitty Fall sentiment from We Are 3 available here on Etsy. I like that the tag has a splash of color - but was simple.

Once I found the right shape, I didn't have to think twice to just get these printed and cut.

It's Beer Time!

What's with the heat?  Well, I won this adorable beer glass box file from Simply Crafty - perfect for a hot day and also perfect for celebrating our neighbor's 40th birthday.  It does look pretty refreshing, don't you think?  The "foam" is embossed with a folder called "Cracked" from Tim Holtz, I think.

The sentiment is computer generated.

Day 2 of Autumn Tag Challenge at Eclips Users Group

It never feels like Fall here, but I still enjoy the Autumn challenges and am entering this simple tag into the Ecal Users Group Fall Tag Challenge.  The patterned paper was a freebie from The Hungry JPEG back in 2016 (Autumn Patterns and Elements).  It's been a while before I found a use for it - I'm so glad I did.  All sorts of good paper patterns in this collection, for sure.

I just love the files from Monica's Creative Room - I used one of her borders for the tag shape and the flower border in the center.  The sentiment is from Design Bundles.

Since I've been a bit behind in crafting since the Creative Memories Virtual Crop, I'm working hard to complete this three-day challenge.  This is my second day.

New Challenge at Ecal Users Group

I just love the wreath image on this tag!  It's from the Beautiful Autumn Oak Leaves collection from Creative Fabrica.  The tag came from a Monica's Creative Room border.

I've been a bit behind in crafting since the Creative Memories Virtual Crop - Trying to play catch up and get items completed for the Fall Tag Challenges at the Ecal Users Group.  This is my first tag.

This Challenge is not Square!

It's a new month and a new challenge at Kerst Christmas Challenges - beginning the 1st of each month.  Our theme this time is "not square."

It took me forever to finally decide on the shape, but I was excited to find the fun Polar Bear Snowglobe at Miss Kate Cuttables.  I replaced the polar bear with Romeo from our sponsor, Sheepski Designs.

The snowman is colored digitally.

The corner flowers include poinsettias from my stash.  They are accented with a beautiful gold holly sticker also from stash.

I hope you'll check out the fabulous inspiration from the Kerst team designers and come join our October Challenge.
