For Sizzix Eclips Users Group with Monica's Creative Room Freebie

The current challenge at the Sizzix Eclips Users Group is to use a free file.  My card is made with papers from my stash, as well as stickers I received as a gift.  For the free file, I used Lattice 37 from Monica's Creative Room.  I deleted the left half and shadowed the file to get a chunkier lattice look - divided by a rick-rack cut out.

Christmas Pop-Up Card by We Are 3

I will soon be spending a few days with my cousin in San Diego, so for a hostess gift, I created several pop-up Christmas trees.  I like non-traditional colors, so for this card I used patterned paper from the Look Up collection.  She will love them - Yay!

For the pop-up insert, I used 'Tis The Season from Dreaming Tree.  To finish the front off, I add a bit of lace and a poinsettia sticker.

Creative Confetti with Power Poppy

This week, Power Poppy asked us to create projects with a little fall flavor.  This card I made for this challenge is this simple fall card using Gladioli from Power Poppy.
I colored the flowers in some deep fall colors, then layered them on top of a "rolodex" card printed with a pattern from Tropical Delights (We Are 3).  I used We Are 3's Fall Inspiration for the card front.  I added some raffia and sequins to finish off the card.

Beach Scene by Miss Kate Cuttables

Today I am happy to share with you a CASE from this week's Featured Stamper at Splitcoast Stampers.
I like combining challenges and was thrilled at how well the Featured Stamper card was perfect for using the part of a syringe I needed to use as the Mystery Item for our local group, SALSA.  Can you say Happy Girl?  I love how this turned out.

I used Beach Umbrella from Miss Kate Cuttables and then added a computer-generated sentiment.

Color Challenge at The Outlawz

Here today with this week's Color Challenge at The Outlawz - this week's colors are monochrome blue.  So with Christmas nearing, I thought I would combine the two.

Today I created a simple Christmas card using We Are 3's Burlap Beach and Roses are Red.  I used Glitter Ritz on the snowflakes.
We would love to have you come and play along with us.  The challenge is to use blue monochrome to make a paper project.  If you have We Are 3's papers, I would love to see you use it.  Just upload your project before September 17 here.

Gatefold Card for Paper Ala Mode Challenge

It's Saturday and time for a new challenge at Paper Ala Mode at The Outlawz.  Our theme this week is Gatefold cards.  As it turns out, my card did not turn out as well as my vision. This is how it turned out.
This sweet SheepSki Designs is Hello.  The sentiment is from We Are 3's Sending You collection.  I colored the image with Gimp.  A freebie from Love SVG was used for the Gatefold circle.  Papers from Paper Studio are from my stash.

Join us this week for our Gatefold cards Challenge at Paper Ala Mode.  I'd like to see what you make!

Unicorn from Creative Fabrica

Today I'm sharing a set of cards I made for friends' granddaughter who loves unicorns.  Since I seldom get to make girlie projects, I made some cards using just a couple of Unicorn digi sets I've been collecting.
I used Gold Glitter Unicorn from Creative Fabrica and Sparkle Like a Unicorn from Love SVG.

Sizzix Eclips Users September Challenge

Check out this fun gable box inspired by the current challenge at Sizzix Eclips Users Group - to use a sponsor's free file.  I used a Mini Gable Gift Box from Simply Crafty SVGS.

Sizzix Eclips Users Group Challenge: Use an SVG Freebie by Birds Cards, Simply Crafty, or Dreaming Tree

For the current challenge at Sizzx Eclips Users Group, we are using Freebies! As it is close to Halloween, I thought a cut and quick card would be fun!
I really wanted to just use stash, so I made the card using Paper Studio papers and an embellie from Graphic 45 - both I'm sure purchased before I retired!!!!  I added a little shadow to Halloween to make it stand out a bit better against the paper pattern.  Thanks for the challenge, Jan - it was fun!

Bittersweet Wreath by Power Poppy

Today I've been playing along with Power Poppy's awesome challenge to use a darker base.  I used Bittersweet Wreath for this fun challenge.
I like challenges like this a lot!  It's so easy to get into the same cardmaking rut, so challenges like Power Poppy's new Creative Confetti remind us to think out of the box.  I used a gold foil pattern for my dark base and used lighter, brighter colors for the wreath.  Coloring this wreath is interesting - generally not large enough to shadow much - you pretty much just see berries and leaves - but I love the results.

Don’t forget to participate in the challenge, you will find all of the details here.  You could win a generous gift card for Power Poppy goodies - in fact, this is one of the new images I won last week!

Surprise!

I have another Outlawz challenge entry - this one for Festive Friday.

Have Fun with We Are 3's New Autumn Digis

Here is a fun We Are 3 card with an Autumn Window View and Scene amongst a peek-a-boo pumpkin.
I finished the card with an Itty Bitty Fall Sentiment, and behind the pumpkin, you can see Watercolor Batik coming through.

Featured Stamper at Splitcoast Stampers

Today's card is using papers from We Are 3's Framed Neutral and Happy Christmas collections.  My card is for several challenges and swaps.  The design is inspired by this week's Featured Stamper at Splitcoast Stampers.  In addition, the theme is Hitting the Books, Books, Books at Power Poppy and a local swap.  I love when I'm inspired by multiple challenges.
Cuppa Buttercups is one of my new digis I recently won from Power Poppy, so I was antsy to play with these.  So I added the Cuppa Buttercups in front of a pile of books (Books and Apple - Doodle Pantry).  Actually reminds me of when I was working on my doctorate before I married my hubby - he was great about bringing me flowers - so this was a common sight on my dining room table.

Artist Layout with We Are 3

I have another scrapbook layout I created for one of my grandsons.  He will be four later this month - and appears to be a budding artist.  I'm using Little Star papers from We Are 3 for the basic theme of his scrapbook.

Creative Confetti at Power Poppy

Today I am sharing a card inspired by junk mail!  Power Poppy's Creative Confetti's challenge this week is to create something inspired by an ad, catalog, or circular.  I chose this political circular for inspiration using the colors of gold, blue, and black.
The image and sentiment are from Power Poppy's Bring Home Some Sunflowers set.

Paper Ala Mode - Fantasy

A fantasy card today inspired by the Paper Ala Mode Challenge at The Outlawz.  I used the Waiting digital image from our sponsor Sheepski Designs.  For fantasy cards, I generally like to just keep my colored work on a simple card - a little matting and call it done.
Stamp:  Waiting - SheepSki Designs

Ursula Unicorn by We Are 3

Today I am here to share a card I created using Cupcake - Ursula Unicorn from We Are 3.
I have always found it hard to color images, especially with Copics.  I've tried them all - Copics, Spectrum Noir, pencils, expensive, pencils, watercolors, H2Os - I keep hinting at my family to surprise me on my birthday with Chameleons - but I haven't been successful there, either!  Recently I updated my computer and made it my goal to concentrate on my coloring with the extra time I now have - no longer waiting for my computer to do its thing.  Over the years I've moved from Copics - to pencils - to Photoshop - to Gimp (now that Photoshop requires a subscription).

I am having a grand old time!!!!  My main goal for this image was to get a "no-line" look - and I am so happy with the results!  I especially love my ears and horn - and my snout, too.  I was about to quite when I messed up the star - but suddenly realized it looked like a flower, so that's the direction I took.

For my card background, I used papers from the Fantasy and Dandelion Wishes collections.

Extremely Quick and Easy Layout with Vintage Carnival

Happy Friday!  It's Back To School time,  and I thought it perfect to share this Back-to-School layout.  Vintage Carnival (We Are 3) is used for the layout background.  The Red-Striped pattern is from Vintage Carnival - I opened it in my photo-editing program, then using the paintbrush tool, "painted" the brown distressing over the top of the paper.  I like the way the stripes in the center stand out, as well as peak through the "distressing."
