New Make with Typewriter Embossing Folder

I'm actually several weeks early for our friend Ron's B-day...that's because I received some fun embossing folders for my birthday and had to try one out!

I hope to come up with some better ideas for this folder, but we'll see how that goes.  This may be the closest embossing foler that brings me back to my roots - that of a typing teacher.

Fun in the Trees with We Are 3

The Splitcoast Stampers Featured Stamper is always a fun and supportive group spotlighting one cardmaker each Sunday - I play there as often as possible (I am Featured Stamper #476 out of 812)

This time the Featured Stamper is sgc - here's her card.  It's been so long since I've cased a Feature Stamper, I decided to pick a quick card.  I came across the Trees paper collection when scanning for a good background from We Are 3.  I thought this would be perfect for a tree.  The sentiment is computer generated -printed and popped.  I kept with the basic layout and framed the card with black and white as sgc did.  I did pop my owl to make him stand out more from the many branches.  Voila!

Layout for the Snippy Scrappers

I'm trying hard to make up for my miserable blog content while we were working on home-improvement projects. This layout, a Project Recipe from Creative Memories, shares some days of site seeing with Michigan friends.

Happy Birthday (on the Calendar)

The calendar is Calendar from We Are 3 on Etsy (only $4)  I thought it would be a great accent to a birthday layout in a pretty frame.  I printed the frame using paper pattern from the Christmas Textures collection

Cactus Cooler

Dug deep into my stash for old American Crafts Cactus Cooler paper and used an old photo box svg from SVG Cuts.  Added some embossing and ribbon and called it done.

This photo box is the perfect size to hold one baby onesie for a gift.

Just a Little Late for Last Christmas

Yes, don't faint!  I am catching up on some pages from LAST YEAR.  I'm actually getting back in the groove after having my craft room painted.  On this layout, I was able to use a lot of images I had stashed away with my Frozen papers.  I just started playing - like putting together a puzzle.  There is a lot going on here, for sure.  But I love the look.

Here Come the Holidays!

Are you ready?  I'm getting there....got a good start on my Christmas cards.  The holidays will be here before we know it - hopefully having a start on my Christmas cards will reduce the stress I always feel.

I changed the color of the poinsettia digis to gold.  The sentiment is a digital from We Are 3 ('Tis the Season).

The design is inspired by Desiree Kuemmerle (with a few tweaks) and the Card Maker Success Summit.

New Challenge at Power Poppy

Today beings a new challenge at Power Poppy.  The theme is Going Sentimental, and I don't often make my sentiment the focal point of the card.  For my card, I used Poinsettia XL available at Power Poppy.  I'd been saving this sentiment for just the right challenge - and this is it.

The poinsettias are colored digitally, and the glittery background from Paper Farms is also digital.

I really enjoyed this project and hope you do, too.  Be sure to stop by the Blossom Challenge to see the Bloom Brigade makes.  Can't wait to see what you make, too.

The Paper Shelter meets Kerst Christmas

This month the Kerst Christmas Challenge is being sponsored by The Paper Shelter.  This adorable little Santa stamp is from The Paper Shelter called Dear Santa.  He's colored digitally.  The sentiment is by We Are 3 (Masculine) - the trees are from my stash.

I'm finally getting a little more comfortable with coloring digitally, and I'm pretty happy with the outcome.

Merry Christmas

I participated in the Card Make Success Summit a few weeks ago - one of the best presentations was using ephemera.  My original thought was how easy....but once I got started, I realized I'm not great at choosing items that work well together.  I went a different direction using some foiled background....wish now I would have printed it in red or green.

Greetings from Arizona

I've been wanting to do a project with the beautiful Raccoon Girl Birdcage Silhouette - finally took the time.  I had the perfect ink-blended paper from We Are 3 - Christmas Textures.

The added flowers are preprinted watercolor flowers in my stash (think they are from Creative Fabrica - but not sure).  I attached a computer-generated sentiment.

Christmas Textures and Spider Thoughts for We Are 3

I had a couple weeks off from crafting, but did spend time watching sessions of the Card Maker Success Summit.  Going back now to review some of the techniques there.  Lots of foiling....but I never felt the traditional techniques for foiling were worth the trouble or cost.  One participant though threw out there that she uses metallic vinyl as her foiling technique.  Eureka!  So here is a card with a bit of glimmer with the help of a frame cut from metallic vinyl and ironed onto my card front.

My pop of glimmer is the pink/purple frame - it is a little difficult to tell in this photo that it is metallic.  The frame was cut using a Laced Frame from Monica's Creative Room. I added some flowers and leaves from my stash.  The background paper is from We Are 3's Christmas Textures.  The sentiment is from the Spider Thoughts set from We Are 3.

Christmas in July

I'm thrilled to be back in my craft room for some fabulous papercrafting. I chose a mix of papers, including one of my fave digi paper collections from We Are 3 - Frozen - and the Frozen collection from DisneeyArt.  The entire album is Frozen themed....but these pages get extra duty as they will hold Christmas photos.

I have so many fun embellishments already in my stash, it's hard to tell you where they come from.

Meggan and Tessa Layout

Oh, boy!  It's been a while since I've been actually scrapbooking.  I guess you could say I'm running a bit behind, but home-improvement projects have been taken center stage.  Today I used a design from Meggan and Tessa, digital papers and embellishments from the DisneeyArt Frozen set. I also have digital papers (Frozen) from We Are 3.

Anything Goes Design for Kerst Christmas

I'm thrilled to be a designer for the Kerst Christmas Challenge.  One of our sponsors this month is Last-Minute Manda - with North Pole Express.  Gotta say I laughed out loud when I took the photo of my train scene...it wasn't until then I realized my "fence" is actually supposed to be train tracks!

Be sure to visit the Kerst Christmas Challenge for more fabulous holiday designs and come play along.

Progressive Freebie Challenge

Do you think there's enough purple in this card?  The adorable image is Stacy the Stegosaurus by Dr. Digi...this month's Progressive Freebie at the Outlawz Challenges.  Digital paper behind is from the Marble and Bubble collection from Creative Fabrica; I forget who created the sentiment.  The gorgeous design is from Crafting with April - her freebie included a bee image and sentiment to go with the honeycomb design here.

Stacy is colored digitally.  She is one of my faves.  I think the sentiment is cute with the look Stacy is giving us.

Merry Christmas

I designed this for the Kerst Christmas Challenge with this fun quirky Santa Claus called Sitting Santa Loves Cookies by Last Minute Manda.  Although I love all kinds of digital stamps, I really get a kick of those I can layer - so I had a ball here with Santa.  The set comes with six Santas sitting and enjoying a variety of sweet Christmas treats.   He's coloring digitally.  I added a twist with a trimmed Christmas tree from Ink and Dot.  Good thing the theme this month is Anything Goes, because once again I forgot the check out the theme before making my cards.

Be sure to check out Last-Minute Manda's gorgeous and adorable images.  There is something for everyone.
