Glittered Daisy Patch

Daisy Patch was one of my first Heartfelt Creations stamp/die set - and still one of my favorites.  Today I'm showcasing die-cut flowers and how they work great all glittered up on colored cardstock, while still keeping their simplicity. I wanted to keep the flowers the focus of my card, but they needed something, so I embossed the background using the Houndstooth embossing folder.  My photo doesn't do this gorgeous card justice - the glittered flowers are something you just have to see in real life!

This little card was inspired by Stick It Down July Sketch Challenge.  Supplies used include Polka Dots embossing folder (Cuttlebug), Daisy Patch and Delicate Asters dies (Heartfelt Creations, and Scandinavian Lace Chain border punch (EK Success).

The best of both worlds - SIMPLE and ELEGANT.  Today's post is featuring plain pastel cardstock (about the cheapest you can buy), adorned with glittered daisies from Heartfelt Creations Daisy Patch die set.  This fabulous collection is rich and inviting - perfect for so many themes, such as Mother's Day, friendship, Easter - the possibilities are endless.

Posy Patch Birthday Cards

Heartfelt Creations Daisy Patch flowers - what in the world can you do with these fun little things?  I sure found some inspiration using these little treasures on birthday cards!  When I stamp flowers like these, I prefer to stamp a whole page in different sizes....then sit in front of the television set while I fussy cut the flowers.  Yes, I have the matching dies - but I just find it more relaxing to fussy cut.....and I do so many, I've become quite quick.  Having the matching dies is still a must, though....as I use them to cut out plain flowers that will be covered with glitter.

For the last card, I used beautiful Glitter Crackle cardstock (The Robin's Nest) for the flower.








As long as we're talking glitter - I am also finishing up 100 wedding invitations for my niece's wedding. All posies were hand cut and glittered! No two invitations alike! :D Here are just a few.

And for more glitter...I purchased a new eClips last week and am enjoying finally being able to cut more intricate embellishments that my Cricut just could not handle. So I am now working on a gift pack of cards with some glittered embellishments.

Yes, I'm pretty much addicted to glitter....with stories to tell.  I did once e-mail my kids to warn them that when I die, do not get all excited about the shiny gold that covers my craft room floor - but then I thought about how much I spend for glitter!  All that glitters in my craft room might as well be gold!

My flower cards are part of a birthday gift I made for my former secretary.  Her house was French Country as long as I've known her...and when I saw the Graphic 45 French Country cardstock, I just had to make something for her....so I sent her 30 handmade cards - to the gal who was "French Country" before French Country was cool!  Here are just some of the cards I made for her.  They really aren't "summer" flowers - but flowers I did cut!!!!!
