This week we welcomed a new nephew - I had some fun making him some quarantine shirts.

So there ya go.  It's been a while since I've made any shirts.  These were fun - quick and easy.

Let's Sail with the New Ferry Captain

These days one of Neebish's Ferry Captains has more on his mind than transporting Islanders - he's about to be a new dad! Woo Hoo! Here's a onesie for the new baby my sister asked me to make.

My machine sure didn't like the Ferry Captain - so small and detailed.  I didn't need all that red foil I wasted any ways, right?  LOL!

July Release - HoneyComb

I so love the honeycomb patterns in the new release. The colors are pretty amazing. 

The "family" is colored digitally.  I added a sentiment from Love SVG - popped for dimension.

Rounded Treat Box

Do you ever make something and you get so excited about the outcome - you know it is turning out even better than the vision you had in your head.  Even better, it is soooooo easy to make!!  Well, for me this is one of those projects!!  I am in love with this little treat bag!!  The bag itself is made using only one sheet of cardstock.  The file is available at SVG Cuts - Easter Egg Treat Bag.  It's rounded design is perfect for the current Power & Spark Challenge at Power Poppy - Let's Go Round & Round.

I started out with Ladybug Lace digital paper.  Then I created a little lattice design using some paper from the Tropical Delight collection.  (All cardstock from We Are 3)  For the ladybug, I colored up Malli's Ladybug from Melonheadz and added a sentiment - Babies Love from Elegant Word Art.

     

Best Gift Ever

July is here! July is the perfect time for planning for Christmas. You know what our grandkids often love more than the toys - it's the packaging they come in. My missing photo here is of my grandson squeezed into a box - what kid can resist climbing into a box just their size? Every Grandma would admit - a package containing a grandkid is the Best Gift Ever!

A "Magic" Card with Baby Birdie

I like that We Are 3 often offers digital images both in black line and pre-colored.  That works especially well for making "magic" cards.  Here is a magic card "before and after."

Merry Christmas with the Polar Express

Happy, Happy New Year, Scrappers!  It's January 5 - but I'm still in the Christmas mood with my tree up and the Polar Express beneath it!  I love this photo of my cousin and his gorgeous smile as he begins the story of the Polar Express!  I was inspired by the current challenge at Let's Get Sketchy.  I turned their sketch upside down.  I think scrapping the Polar Express is a great way to end my holidays!  Let's take a look at this holiday creation.

The Little Mister/DCWV

One of my favorite things about baby cards is that they pretty much only need to be blue or pink!  For this card, I used paper from The Little Mister collection (DCWV), added a baby banner, and a cute wood baby I picked up at a gender-reveal party.

Today I'm sharing my love for sketch challenges with Stuck?! Sketches. I turned the sketch on its side - the pics are of my hubby as a baby and teenager.

Memory Keeping

Isn't Feeling Sketchy's Challenge #139 amazing?  For some reason, it kept screaming layout at me - rather than card.  So today's page is of my grandson crawling beneath a chair - hiding from Mommy.  Unfortunately, parents don't allow me to share my wonderful memories - so no baby picture.

Be Happy - this is a stickie rub-on sentiment covered with glitter.  These rub-ons were so very popular when I first began scrappin' 11 years ago - I still remember the ah-hah moment I found these in a Ben Franklin . . . that day was full of them - wandering into the craft aisle not knowing there were so many cool scrappin' toys!  Still brings chills to me. LOL!  Same chills as I used this sentiment today to find out it's still sticky - still such an awesome embellishment that leaves such a clean, classy image.

The last page for Nathan's scrapbook - and large pieces of coordinating cardstock are scarce! So hopefully here I made the most out of my scraps to amaze!

Do you collect extra cuts you make?  I dipped into my stash of extras to embellish this layout - adding extra circles here and there for color.

Using my Stash

When I'm in a hurry, I choose to simplify my design processing using Googled photos of layouts.  Paperclipping shares a layout that inspired me to incorporate a variety of patterns and embellishments for, hopefully, an eye-catching layout (Nathan's Baby Shower Scrapbook - Page 13).

Scrappin' with Penguins

I slacked off yesterday, so made up for it today with a two-page layout for Nathan's book (pages 10 and 11).  I wanted a different way to incorporate penguins (theme of book is "Baby, It's Cold Outside." So I enlarged the images to be a major focus on the page...and am loving them!

Playful Patterns

The current challenge at Use Your Stuff #207 to use three or more patterns inspired this layout - mixing and matching patterns to create a fun way to showcase a single photo.  The colors I chose go with the rest of Nathan's book (this is Page 9) - a variety of blues to welcome Nathan in March.  The patterned papers I used for this layout include Daily Junque - Numbers (Pink Paislee), Treasure - Divine (Authentique), and Mother Goose (Authentique).

Customized Baby Layout

This page (Page 8 of Nathan's book) incorporated Mommy and Daddy's favorite football team for a fun pop.    A die-cut title from Miss Kate Cuttables was used and a Cute Penguins digital image from Raccoon Girl Design.
