Creative Confetti Sketch It Out

This week at Power Poppy, the Creative Confetti challenge is a sketch for inspiration.
The flowers are from Power Poppy's Pure Prairie Bouquet.  I was so excited with how the monochrome coloring turned out - LOVE how well it coordinated with kraft cardstock.

Be sure to check out the fab work in all the other entries.

May All Your Dreams Come True

I've used Lavinia Stamps' fab image Dragonfly Keepers and used Print 2 Cut to print it on the card shape. Kind of a fun thing with this fantasy genre - no need to color.....it's all in the contrast. I used We Are 3's Under the Sea papers for the front and background. The gorgeous doily is from Monica's Creative Room. I order a kazillion pearls from Amazon - so how could I resist adding those to the lacy front? LOL!  I also used a sentiment from We Are 3's Dreams set.
Here's the front.  I had to actually cut this very thin line up the center of the doily - I am amazed I was able to do that!

Romantic Hearts - New Release

My card today is Pinterest inspired. The papers are from the new Romantic Hearts collection. Quick and easy card to make.
The butterflies are from a Martha Stewart punch.  This was so easy to do - I'll be making more for sure.

Creative Confetti Challenge - Power Poppy

I was so excited to see Power Poppy provide a freebie (Filligree Tree) over at Kit and Clowder because I can never get enough of Power Poppy - their images make such elegant sweet cards. This week's Creative Confetti is a color challenge - monochrome blues. I thought this new freebie would look wonderful in blue - reminds me of the old-fashioned blue/white ceramic - I think from the Dutch? Not sure - just that when I see it, I also see the Tulip Festival in Holland. :D I originally planned to have all blues and white in my card, but I think the silver background helps my blue tree stand out.

Monochromatic Blue

I made this card for this week's Featured Stamper.  I used Christmas Magic for the background.  Used some oldie, but goodie dew drops for my embellies on the snowflake.  The snowflakes are from Love SVG.

Eclips Users Challenge - 12 Tags of Christmas

For the past couple weeks, the challenge at the Eclips Users Group was to create 12 Christmas tags. For the last tag, I chose to create a simple tag using a snowflake form the Winter Gazebo (SVG Cuts). My cutter just did not want to cooperate on this last tag. In an attempt to cut multiple snowflakes, I spent two hours and about five sheets of cardstock to get this one snowflake! I always joke that these machines know just how to take control - in this case, the machine knew best. I really only needed the one snowflake for a simply elegant tag. :D  #eclipsecalmaker

Snowy Delivering Presents (Hat with Tassle) by Conie Fong

Here's a quick card using my stash - Just for You, Woodland Christmas, Bird's View, and Hello.  Easy to make gorgeous cards when using beautiful papers from We Are 3!
The design is from this week's Wednesday Sketch at The Outlawz Challenges.

I Do Love Monochromatic!

Today's card uses Whale from Angie's Digital Stamps for Paper Ala Mode's Challenge - Monochromatic.  There's something about monochromatic cards that I adore, and for this one I tried a new technique, so had a lot of fun making it.
For the blue background behind the whale, I wanted to get a stenciled effect - but using Gimp, rather than stencils and inks.  I used Lattice 39 from Monica's Creative Room for my stencil, then used a "watercolor" technique I've been practicing to get the stenciled effect.

Card for Paper Ala Mode

This is a card I made for this week's Paper Ala Mode Challenge at The Outlawz.  Since I no longer use rubber/acrylic stamps, one thing I miss is embossing.  So I'm practicing more on how I might be able to get near the same effect with digital papers.  I'm loving some of the "gold foil" digital textures that help me get some of the same effect as I used on the gold matting here.

The matting comes from Gold Foil (Paper Farms).  The striped background is Oh, So Pretty (Digital Scrapbook Experts).  I did alter the stripes using Gold Glitter Textures (Creative Fabrica).  The image is The Gorgeous Bride from All Dressed Up.

Enjoy the Simple Things

Over at Kerst Christmas, the challenge is Anything Goes.  I decided to go quick and easy - again.  After all, I've got loads of scraps to use, have I not?  I do like my poinsettias and find a tone-on-tone card to be so simply elegant!
My card uses one of my favorite papers - Christmas Tree, and I've also thrown in a bit of Storybook Christmas for a touch of contrast.  Pointy Poinsettia is the flower - I love it, is so elegant printed with a gold outline.

The Outlawz Twisted Thursday

Hello, Monday!  One more week to Christmas - I'd better finish that shopping.  For that reason, the post is pre-scheduled to give me time to finish up my shopping.  The tag is inspired by The Outlawz Twisted Thursday Challenge from two weeks ago...Christmas with Polka Dots.

Dress Dummy

I belong to a local scrapbooking group that holds a number of swaps with monthly themes. This month's theme for tags is "Little Black Dress."

This tag uses the image Dress Dummy by Sarfraz Shoukat.  This isn't a great picture....the dress and hat are actually black glitter.  The background is Silver Foil digital paper, matting the tag with black.

It's All About Christmas in July

Just a fun Christmas card I made using Fairy Mail, a July Release from We Are 3.
I love the collage look of We Are 3's Fairy Mail digital papers.  I wanted to see if I could turn these papers into a Christmas card in non-traditional colors.  We are all used to the red and turquoise Christmas Decorations - and pink and white.  I was curious was I could do with brown - LOL!  I had loads of fun with this card!  The background paper is already a terrific collage pattern.  On top of that, I stamped brown snowflakes - and added a brown snowflake embellishment.  This card is quick and easy, actually - and I was having so much fun, I made three additional cards immediately.

Suzy Bee's Challenge - Monochrome

Hi, All!

Today's cards are a couple in the bunch of Easter cards made yesterday.

I always look forward to Suzy Bee's Bloomin' Challenge with a twist - and after spending hours on the first card (my eClips wasn't playing nice), I see this week's challenge twist is just what I had been working on - monochrome.

For the lacy background I welded together four pieces of Serenade Lace (SVGCuts) with a 1/4" border.  The flowers are from Wedding Card with Flower (SVG Shop).

Below is another Easter card I made - and when finished, thought "rather monochrome!"  Ha - who would know it would be perfect for Suzy Bee's challenge?  The image here is Bunny and Chick Topper (Bugaboo).
