Some friends are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary and asked that friend create ATCs to help them celebrate. For the first ATC I created, I created layers using April Showers. Because of the size of ATCs, I didn't think I would get totally clean cuts for all the lacy layers I wanted to use. So instead I alternated the pink pattern and white cardstock.
Wow! Seems like it's been ages since I've wanted to craft anything other than scrapbook layouts. Last weekend I created five of the six sketches in the Virtual Crop with Creative Memories.
The title is computer generated. There's something about babies ... and pandas. The adorable panda images are from Kadoodle Bug. With a name like that, how could they be anything but cute?
Last weekend's virtual crop at Creative Memories was digital. For this layout, I chose April Showers.
Be sure to pop over to the crop page and see the lovely work by all the participants.Today is the sixth day of the SG Scrap Squad's Heart Emphasis Virtual Crop - a three-week long set of challenges using hearts. I've been lurking this site for a while now - thought I would finally become a participant. This challenge is to create a layout with a tag(s) embellished with hearts.
Well, I finally found some time to play with Stick It Down this month. I used Free Digital Scrapbooking's April Showers. The embellishments are pandas from Kadoodle Bug - the tooth is just clipart. The titles are computer generated. I had a ball this weekend scrapbooking, inspired by a virtual crop - I'm in my happy place when I'm scrapbooking!
Creative Memories Virtual Crops call for a weekend of scrapbooking, and there's nothing more satisfying that getting lots of layouts completed with fun papers and sweet images. The titles are computer generated.
Time always flies when you're having fun, and I sure have fun during the Creative Memories Virtual Crops. The design paper is Free Digital Scrapbooking, and the embellishments are from my stash.
I finally found some time to play in the many challenges at Scrapbook Generation. Today I bring you a layout for one of their sketch challenges. I think the fabulous photos of my niece (which, unfortunately I cannot share) are just perfect for this layout. The April Showers digi papers are from Free Scrapbooking.
The title is Print 2 Cut and popped up with foam adhesive. It a Virtual Crop Challenge at Scrapbook Generation. Lots of opportunity on this layout to use the fab pandas Kadoodle Bug is known for. I flipped this sketch horizontally. I had a little time, so cut out several baby phrases to use. The papers are from Free Scrapbooking, and the "journaling" just happened to be in my stash from Love SVG. Because this design fill the page with photos - easy peasy! I just love al lthe sketches at Scrapbook Generation.
I'm featuring the free April Showers collection from the fabulous Free Digital Scrapbooking - also featuring adorable pandas from Kadoodle Bug. The heart is a Digi Crea printable from the Positive Vibes set. The journaling is a sentiment from We Are 3's Thoughtfulness set. The title is computer generated. I digitally painted some white splotches behind the pandas to make them stand out a little. If you look VERY carefully, I embellished with clear glittery sequins - but they didn't photograph well.
Oh, WOW! Missed the deadline for the December sketch (I was secretly hoping I'd get more Christmas photos). Well, time is gone, but I finally completed the layout. The papers are from the April Showers collection from Free Digital Scrapbooking. I did add a little Christmas color behind some of the photos - gingham paper I recolored from the Doodle Pantry 50's Diner collection. I cut and glittered snowflakes. the "first" from the title is from Love SVG. The title is assembled with a combination of SVG and digital. Woo Hoo! It's finished!
This fun paper is from Free Scrapbooking called April Showers. The photo mats are cut with corner rounder.
This week for Creative Confetti at Power Poppy, it's all about Popping the Flower - using a dark background to make your flower pop. Ah, I see once again I skimmed the instructions and chose a bear instead of a flower to color! You can see I'm taking retirement from education to heart - LOL! I am, however, so happy with my finished product. My bear does pop from the dark wood background I put behind him. I used a free digi from Carinas Freebies to color. The background wall is paper pieced from Little Scraps of Heaven. The background floor is paper pieced from We Are 3 (April Showers). I added a sentiment from Love SVG. I then cut the image in a circle on my eClips and popped that on top of a scalloped circle from Monica's Creative Room.
The fabulous background is Watercolor Strokes from We Are 3.
