Another for the Stick It Down September Sketch Challenge

WooHoo!  I've completed both sketch layouts at Stick It Down for this month!  I'm beginning a new album and trying to select a new collection -  ran across this Brick Fire Station collection in my stash - I love the colors and patterns in this collection, and I think it'll be perfect for this new scrapbook. The title was digitally colored with the paper patterns from Brick Fire Station and Print2Cut on my machine.

Sketch Challenge for Stick It Down!

For this month's sketch challenge at Stick It Down, I made a layout using the adorable Outer Space collection (retired from We Are 3).  The colors are so deep.  I'm calling this layout "Day at the Zoo.  I've had the paper collection for years...and added the Day at the Zoo elements (Ginger Scrap) today.  My layout is flipped horizontally from the original sketch.

The Zoo elements are all precolored.  They are high-quality printables - cut very nicely on my Eclips.  The ZOO title with the critters is from Watercolor Animal Alphabet from Creative Fabrica.

Layout for Stick It Down Single-Page Challenge

Every month Stick It Down adds new sketches for a challenge.  For the single-page layout this month, I added digital washi tape as a border to my background.  I cut out three tags with my Eclips.  The tags and background are from We Are 3.

The May Challenge at Stick It Down is nearly over.  I chose another layout using GranMargaret's Flowers from We Are 3.  I added embellishments from Creative Memories.

Sketch Challenge

So here's a layout from a little inspiration from Stick It Down with papers from We Are 3.   

The layout was made with GranMargaret's Flowers from We Are 3.  The lovely large gems are Creative Memories.  The title is a sticker I've had in my stash for years.

I changed the sketch a bit by rotating and flipping.  I made the bottom triangle a bit smaller and replaced the journaling with a border from my stash.

Stick It Down Sketch Challenge

Well, I finally found some time to play with Stick It Down this month.  I used Free Digital Scrapbooking's April Showers.  The embellishments are pandas from Kadoodle Bug - the tooth is just clipart.  The titles are computer generated.  I had a ball this weekend scrapbooking, inspired by a virtual crop - I'm in my happy place when I'm scrapbooking!

Single-Page Layout for Sketch Challenge at Stick It Down

I'm featuring the free April Showers collection from the fabulous Free Digital Scrapbooking - also featuring adorable pandas from Kadoodle Bug.  The heart is a Digi Crea printable from the Positive Vibes set.  The journaling is a sentiment from We Are 3's Thoughtfulness set.  The title is computer generated.  I digitally painted some white splotches behind the pandas to make them stand out a little.  If you look VERY carefully, I embellished with clear glittery sequins - but they didn't photograph well.

Spring Medley and Berry Good for Stick It Down

This month's double-page challenge at Stick It Down.  Ooh, how fun! I had lots of choices for a title, but finally decided on Miss Kate Cuttables' Fall Words.  I love how Creative Memories' kits include so many coordinated embellishments - so easy to quickly style your layouts.  The papers are from the Spring Medley and Berry Good kits.  I added a border from My Scrap Chick and called it done.  

Stick It Down Challenge

Stick it Down has a wonderful single-page sketch this month.  I would have never thought of connecting my title to the background - and so easy to put together!  I kept the layout simple - for my pregnant niece.  I still love the paper collection I chose for this book - Positive Vibes from Digi Crea.  

I've had the ladybug stickers forever!  Their colors go so well with my paper choices, and make adding a little color to the page so easy.  Take a look at other takes on the Stick It Down sketch here....and come play along!

Single-Page Layout: Stick It Down

My layout was inspired by the fabulous Stick It Down October sketch.  Fun layout for not having any photos to work with, don't you think?  Be sure to check out all of Stick It Down's sketches this month. 

Stick It Down Layout Sketch Challenge

This layout - inspired by the single-page sketch at Stick It Down - was a pretty quick layout.  I improvised by using a Minions Halloween treat bag (Kadoodle Bug) instead of the tree.

The background paper is from Dragonflies in Flight by We Are 3.  The title is from my stash, and the date was added with rub-on alphabet letters.

Sketch Challenge from Stick It Down!

Happy Sunday! I look forward to the Sketch Challenges at Stick It Down each month. Besides a card challenge, Stick It Down also has both a single-page layout and a double-page layout. I decided to use the double-page layout using papers from We Are 3's Look Up collection. Not only did I use patterns from Look Up for the background panels, I also digitally paper pieced the lighthouse with a brick pattern from the Brick Fire Station collection.

When I join Stick It Down's Sketch Challenges, I begin with the photos I want to scrap - THEN check out the sketch.  So I'm often looking for different ways to get the same effect - but with a totally different topic.  So for this layout, it took me some thinking to decide what I could substitute for the Christmas trees that were more appropriate for my nephew's wedding theme.  They were married on the famous Mackinac Island (Where the movie "Somewhere in Time" was filmed).  Mackinac's sites include the Mighty Mackinaw Bridge - and Round Island Lighthouse.  I am so excited I found a way to replicate the same effect!  Of course, since it was a summer-wedding theme, I substitute flowers for the snowflakes.

Stick It Down! Sketch Challenge

It's a new month and new challenges at Stick It Down - so, of course, I had to try my hand at one. I wasn't able to get a really good pic of my layout, but I wish you could see it in person! I used Layered Doily 5 from Monica's Creative Corner as a stencil for the circles around the edges. I digitally "spray painted" around the stencil in purple to show off the lovely white lace circles. The embellishments are from my stash (kind of on a mission to use up some of those things).
