Eclips Users - Box Card

Here's my take on the Box Card Challenge at Eclips Users Group. 

I used Fairy Tales papers from We Are 3 for the card base - all the embellies came from my stash.

I used a Martha Stewart punch for the butterflies.

My Valentine for Hubby

This card is inspired by the lovely Featured Stamper at Splitcoast Stampers. While visiting JJ's gallery, I came across an entry into the Free-for-All Challenge and thought "what a fun, SIMPLE card!" So within minutes I had a Valentine's Day card for my hubby made with scraps from the Romantic Hearts collection. The music is our wedding song.

Quite a mish-mash of stuff, but I kinda like it.  Finally, I embellished with a couple sequins.

We Are 3's Romantic Hearts Collection

Next week we'll be celebrating Groundhog Day. Each year, a friend of many (many, many) years and I reconnect with a card and a phone call. However, i struggle each year with my card because there just aren't many good groundhog images floating around. So this year, I've started a new tradition. We also have a long-standing joke about flamingos - and you know how many fun flamingo images and papers there are! So from now on, we will be celebrating Groundhog Day with flamingos.

Paper Ala Mode Valentine Challenge

Time for Valentine's Day cards. We Are 3 has papers and printables perfect for the occasion. Printables are a quick way to embellish a card - I fell in love with this cute couple called Just a Kiss. The papers and background heart are from the Hearts in Love collection, and I used scalloped hearts from the Silhouette Valentines set.  All of these are available at the We Are 3 Etsy shop.

I used a heart border sticker for the bottom.  This makes a cute Valentine or Anniversary card or, perhaps, a Wedding card.  This card was designed for the Paper Ala Mode Challenge at The Outlawz - Valentines.

                          

We Are 3 and Romantic Hearts Collection

This gift card holder is made using papers from the new Romantic Hearts collection from We Are 3. There are gorgeous examples of Valentine's Day cards at We Are 3's Facebook page - so be sure to check out their lovely work.

I was inspired by a gift card made by Chris Slogar - you can find her tutorial on her blog, Buckeye Inklings.  

I used a border punch to hold the actual gift card.  Of course, I added a few gems and a bird for embellishments.  Why not check out Chris' tutorial and make one yourself.

We Are 3 Dragonflies in Flight

It's a simple layout (one of my faves to make) using Dragonflies in Flight from We Are 3 for the papers. 

The cute banner was made with scalloped circles folded in half.  The ric-rac border was in my stash from several years ago.  Go have a look see at lovely projects from the We Are 3 Design Team here.

 

Romantic Hearts - New Release

My card today is Pinterest inspired. The papers are from the new Romantic Hearts collection. Quick and easy card to make.

The butterflies are from a Martha Stewart punch.  This was so easy to do - I'll be making more for sure.  

SALSA Gift Bag Swap

I enjoy the gift bag swap we have each month at our local papercrafting group, SALSA. For next month, I chose At The Beach to make flowers and a heart, and I really love how it turned out. I think it needs a sentiment on the heart, but I feared limiting the bags use by adding my own sentiment - hopefully, the recipient will add her own sentiment later. 

Creative Confetti AND Eclips Users Challenges

This week's challenge at Power Poppy's Creative Confetti is a sketch challenge. I decided to use my new stamp Gingerbread Cottage - just because I was anxious to color it! I need a lot of practice on such a detailed image - oh my! I do like the way my chimney turned out, however....as well as the candies on top of the house. It's cut in an oval and popped up on papers from my stash.  (My photo is rather dark - just haven't been able to get good pics since my last phone upgrade.)

I used a computer-generated sentiment for a challenge at Eclips Users Group, and lined the image matting with holes for the challenge.

Scrapbook Layout of Phipps

Though I'd share a layout with a few trip pictures from Phipps Conservatory in Pittsburgh. Although we went to visit our new grandson, we had more than enough time to explore Pittsburgh. Fortunately, Phipps' display was garden railroads.

Splitcoast Stampers - Featured Stamper Challenge

For this week's Featured Stamper Challenge, after seeing the FS card Home for the Holidays, and looking for ideas for a card swap theme "Spicy," I knew immediately I wanted to fill a truck with chili peppers. I substituted the Christmas trees in the FS with cactus, and the greeting with Happy Cinco de Mayo. I REALLY love it - though it is difficult to tell my truck is full of peppers. 

I popped up the truck in two different layers and layered the cacti.  I used Fairy Backgrounds for the background and Camille's Cactus - all from We Are 3.  The truck is from Miss Kate Cuttables, and the peppers are from Design Bundles.

                    

Paper Ala Mode Happiness Challenge

You all know I just love We Are 3 papers, and Gingham Pastel is no exception. I also used Sylvia's Boots and gave her a little dimension by popping up her face. Stick It Down! Sketch Challenge

This layout is inspired by this month's Sketch Challenge at Stick It Down! I used patterned paper using We Are 3's Look Up collection.

I used alphabet stickers from my stash for the title.  I was also able to pull circles from my stash, as well as journaling stickers.  I used arrows from Love with Straight Arrow by Jamie Lane Designs.

I can't believe we're half way through January, but happy that now my hubby has had his back surgery, the doctors' appointments have settled down....giving me some time for playing with paper again. 

The layout is inspired by the two-page sketch at Stick It Down.  The title comes from Miss Kate Cuttables.  Let's just say that although this is a very simple layout, I'm quite fond of it.  I'm hoping my grandson is, too!  :D

The Power Poppy Creative Confetti Challenge

This week at Power Poppy, the Creative Confetti challenge is Celebrate Good Times. How fun! I attempted to come up with a unique celebration - but that didn't happen. Since I needed to make a birthday card for my neighbor, I decided on the most obvious celebration - birthday! My gift to my little neighbor is a Beanie Boo Ostrich - what a fun little ostrich it is, too! I wanted to make a coordinating birthday card - I chose Ostrich with Egg from Stamp On It. Then I remembered the celebration - so swapped out the egg with Flower Cake from Sweet n Sassy. Oooh - I love how they turned out! I dare say - my ostrich colors are pretty darn near the Beanie Boo's colors. I made a simple card design using scraps, and added a "Celebrate" banner to finish it off.

We Are 3's New Release

Another new release from We Are 3...Snowman Heart Mitten...Woo Hoo!  The papers are from the Snowman collection.

He's cut with my Eclips.  The card design is a sort of tent card.  Here's a side view.

The inside offers room for all kinds of fab layering and sentiment.  I finally settled on an inside sentiment from the Fabulous set from We Are 3.

SALSA Gift Bag Swap

This month at SALSA, the Gift Bag Swap theme is New Beginnings. 

It's difficult to see the patterns on the paper, but the papers came from We Are 3's Pastel Angel collection, which has pretty pastel colors.  The Rocking Horse is a freebie from SVG Cuts.  The doily is a freebie from Monica's Creative Room (#13).  The border is Cafe Border from My Scrap Chick. 

Splitcoast Featured Stamper Challenge

We're being inspired all week at Splitcoast Stampers by Featured Stamper hamiltonkim55. I've chosen Candy Lane - I thought the new Snowman Oops and Oops sentiments from We Are 3 are perfect for casing Kim's card. The sky is from the Summer Butterflies collection (We Are 3), and the red border is from the Winter Plaid collection.

The North Pole is from Miss Kate Cuttables.  The snowman is semi-popped.  I was really happy with this simple design.  The Featured Stamper Challenge always offers some really creative ideas, so be sure to check them out here, and play along.
