Ernie's 80s.

One of my favorite cards is the box card.  It's a great way to celebrate - gives more than the average card.  Here is what I came up with for my cousin's 80th birthday - Ernie's always been handy and spent most of his retirement taking finds apart and making new finds.  There are lots of patterns out their for box cards - I like this particular size because it fits perfectly in Hobby Lobby's vellum envelopes - measures 5-1/2" x 6-1/4" finished folded flat for mailing.  Printable instructions are available in a previous blog post.
This is how the card looks folded flat for mailing

I couldn't resist entering this into the challenge at Moving Along with the Times...their theme is "So 80s."  Okay....I know their interpretation is the 1980s - but my interpretation is Ernie entering the 80s.  I hope they like it.

  1. Camille this is so stinking cute and it looks darling in person. Your uncle is going to love it and all the fine details included. You are a great little crafting buddy!

  2. This is a fab box card, I love these. Thanks for joining us at MAWTT, xxx
