Guest Designer - Miss Daisy Stamps

You know how sometimes you see an image or product that catches your eye?  In November, We Are 3 offered a free digi pak (Color Me Christmas) that caught my eye - one of those that had to be used in a project NOW! The card I made was picked as the #1 winner in the November Challenge at Miss Daisy Stamps - that win includes an invite to guest design for a month.  What fun!  Here is the first card I made.
For my card, I used the digi pack I won as my prize - Inspiration.  The background paper is called Embedded in my Heart.  The swan and the inspirational strip come from Rejoice.  Then I embellished with butterflies using Pretty Wings 2 from Miss Daisy Stamps.

I know you are anxious to join this challenge!  Be sure to join us at Miss Daisy Stamps!

Thank you so much for stopping by today! I hope you are enjoying a wonderful Holiday!

When papercrafting in general, I always like to reach into my stash of leftovers to create new projects.  Today I created a scrapbook layout using paper scraps and leftover embellishments.

Blue Cheer

My card features Cheer (Bross Art Addiction) and wintery snowflakes.  It's a wonderfully sunny day here in Sahuarita - but most of my friends are experiencing wintry weather.  They are all happy with their white Christmas - and we'll enjoy our beautiful sunny Christmas.

Globeframe Gift

For today's project, I used one of my all-time favorite products - globeframes.  These make great gifts for any occasion.  I think they are so wonderful and versatile.  Today I have my "annual" gift for a friend - a framed photo of her grandson.
Difficult to tell from the photo (because I actually did such a good job of photoshopping out the glare) but there is a clear plastic globe over the photo to give it a finished touch.

Elf Kisses

Hi there!  Today I have a fun holiday treat bag to share with you.  I used Elf Shoes (Bird's Cards), holly (or mistletoe), and Hershey Kisses (with "Elf Kiss" sticker on bottom).  This project was inspired by treat bags my daughter-in-law found on Pinterest.  I didn't have any red and green cardstock in my stash - so I used a variety of bright colors.  These will be hanging on my neighbors' doors tomorrow.

Tea Light Box - turned Treat Box

I had a ton of fun making this treat box, using a free file (Tea Light Box 11) from Monica's Creative Room - and then finishing it off with Hollyberries from Power Poppy.

I was disappointed to see I had no white tissue paper when wrapping my treat - but I love the blue I did have for something different altogether!

Holiday Witches

For today's card, I blended some holidays - Halloween and Christmas - to create a Christmas card full of Holiday Witches!  When visiting some friends this fall, my friend Susan shared a witch die with me - she purchased it online thinking she was buying a Halloween window decoration.  Rather than returning the die - she gave it to me.  Quite honestly - not a die I see myself using often....lol!  However, my mom taught me well - and I did want to make something for Susan using this gift - and here it is!  As I told Susan - a ONE OF A KIND Christmas card - FOR GOOD REASON!  LOL!  But it certainly was fun!
And that's 95 Down - 32 to go.

Christmas Ornament Trio

Hello, Scrappers!

I have several new followers, so thought I'd share some of my story today. Confession time:  I'm a paper-holic!  I like to play with paper.

I live in sunny Sahuarita, Arizona, and I'm retired.  I retired from education, but always had retail in my heart.  So I worked several years in catalog retail - then my dream job - Office Manager at HOBBY LOBBY!  I re-retired from Hobby Lobby two years ago.  Twelve years ago, my hubby introduced me to paper - he is my enabler.  He enables me so, when we built our home, he encouraged me to use the master bedroom as my craft room - and we sleep in a room with five inches available around our bed.  LOL!  I'm glad you stopped by to learn more about me - now on to today's card.  This is inspired by this week's Featured Stamper on Splitcoast Stampers.  She made a Halloween card with three pumpkins resting on straw - my version:  three ornaments resting on holly!

Holly and Christmas Trees

I enjoy the Twisted Thursday Challenges at The Outlawz, this week being Christmas trees.  Thought I would pass this one up as I had no trees already cut - or papers with trees.  Thanks to TLC Creations - I have a new freebie digital paper - complete with Christmas Trees.
Next I added some holly and a sticker I had in my stash.

Boxwood and Cranberry for Sweet Holiday Cards

Have you finished make your holiday cards?  I'm at 87 down - 40 to go!  I'm not good at Copics, pencils, watercolors, etc. -  but I find coloring with Photoshop relaxing.  And when you're looking at creating 40 with 17 days to go - not to mention shopping, doctors' appointments, and all - you can save a little time this way.  Today I'm sharing a holiday card I made using Wreath Boxwood and Cranberry from Power Poppy - trimmed with a little fussycutting to give it some dimension.

A Swingin' Christmas

These Christmas cards are for my hubby's favorite golf partners.  The three of them are like Larry, Moe and Curley.  LOL!  For this first card I used Tim Holtz Ideal-ology cardstock for the stocking, embossed golf clubs from SVG Cuts (Fun and Games)  and Power Poppy Hollyberries.

My second card "sports" a golf-ball ornament.  Ideal-ogy cardstock is used for the background - the additional ornament is from Miss Kate Cuttables (Vintage Ornaments).

Deck the Halls with Chalk Collection for Christmas Cards

Hi, Everyone!

So how many of you are working on your Christmas cards?  Well, I have 45 done - and still 82 to go.  You'd think I'd learn over the years to get these made earlier?  OMG!  LOL!

So on today's cards, I just grabbed some leftover kits from a class I taught last year....I couldn't remember what the original designs were, but the cut paper and sentiments were perfect for creating quick cards.
