Stained Glass at We Are 3

It's another exciting day for We Are 3 as we're introducing a brand new paper collection - Stained Glass. I used a faux tile effect here, along with a gorgeous sentiment by We Are 3.

Happy Easter

WooHoo!  A new paper collection today at We Are 3 with a theme everyone is waiting for - Spring Fling

I created an Easter Card using Spring Fling available by We Are 3 on Etsy and tag from We Are 3.

The bunny is covered with chocolate glitter - been in my stash for years.

The sentiment is from Tea Tags, colored digitally with the purple paper and tied on with baker's twine.  The Tea Tags are also We Are 3.

Happy Easter!

The last day of the Easter Tag challenge, and here I am finished!  These adorable bunnies were a freebie from Crafts U Print.  To be honest, I've been wanting to put them together for a while, cut didn't have a use for them.

Crafts U Print are so generous with their freebies.

Another for the Ecal Users Group

Yikes!  My machine hates me this week!  I haven't replaced the blade in years....and had little trouble....but I replaced the blade today, and it just does not want to work!  Ugh!  Here's what should have been a quickie - but literally spent days adjusting the machine - did this one for the Ecal Users Group - which actually requires using the machine!  It's yet another Easter Tag....or Spring Tag I should say.

The "egg" is a Design Bundles freebie.  The ladybug is Sweet Ladybug from 2 Cute Ink.  I think it makes a sweet little tag.

Another Easter Tag for Ecal Users

It's time for the Tag Challenge on the Ecal Users Group Facebook Page , and we're celebrating Easter.  This time my tag is a little more off-beat.  Can you think of anything more Easter than the Easter bunny?  I remember one Easter when I was about 8 that my Uncle Steve walked in the house with a grocery bag full of Easter bunnies for me - well, maybe there were two or three - but none would have made my mother a happier person.  I, on the other hand, was so excited and happy!  For this tag, I used the adorable Multi-Layer Easter Tag, currently available for free here at Design Bundles.  I used ink-blended papers from Fairy Hugs that reminded me of bright Easter colors.

I didn't position the bunny on the ink-blended paper - but kind of love how it looks like the bunny is wearing a deeper yellow jacket...not to mention the Zorro-type eye mask.

Hello

OMG!  I missed the last Ecal challenge or two! Not sure what I was so involved with that I would space out on Ecal Challenges.  Do you believe it's Spring already?  Be still my heart.  So here's my first tag for the Spring Tag Challenge using a tag from Miss Kate Cuttables.  I colored Primrose Kitten digitally and added a sentiment from my stash.

March Challenge at Kerst Christmas

I'm especially thrilled today to be sharing a card for the Text Challenge - sharing a beautiful Christmas wreath from our sponsor, Mirtillamente.  Meet Christmas Deco.  I'm so proud of how my wreath turned out.

It's colored digitally.  You can find it here in Mirtillamente's shop.  The paper behind the wreath comes from We Are 3 - Mosaic Background.

My original plan was much more complex, as I wanted to add a fancy frame around the wreath - which I though would work.  But after assembling, it just wasn't right.  Fortunately, I just kept playing with the pieces like a puzzle - then I went to town.

On the Road Again from Little Scraps in Heaven

Today I have one for a friend who has been visiting from Canada.  He will be leaving soon, so we are sending him off with some goodies for the road trip from Arizona to Canada.  I found the basic elements from Little Scraps of Heaven (On the Road Again).  I quickly added a cactus and sun rays for our Arizona and snowflakes from my stash for what he will find at home in Canada.  The vehicle is popped up for some dimension.

Layouts for the Creative Memories Virtual Crop Weekend

This past weekend was the Creative Memories Virtual Crop - with loads of inspiration.  This first layout is the last of the Cookie Monster album.

Couldn't finish my layouts for the Creative Memories Virtual Crop until I did one of a cactus drive.  These cactus photos are some of my faves.

...and this one (I clearly have issues with my schooling).

...and this one.

So I hope you go and take a look around the Creative Memories Virtual Crop Facebook page.  The site has lots of cuties.

Happy Holidays

Yeah, I know I'm a little late for Christmas, but I ran out of cards last year and hope to have most of my Christmas cards made before December this year.  This adorable girl sending a letter from All Dressed Up is one of the images we received from this month's sponsor at Kerst Christmas.  All Dressed Up has all sorts of good stuff, for sure.

I just LOVE her!  I colored her digitally.  The scalloped square I used is Monica's Creative Room.

Blossom Challenge with Power Poppy

It's a new Blossom Challenge at Power Poppy.  My electronic cutter doesn't like me today - but I did manage this post using a previous win from the fabulous Power Poppy.  I won this beautiful digital stamp from Power Poppy called Black-Eyed Susan - you can get yours here.  I colored the stamp digitally.  The papers are from Fairy Hugs and Creative Memories...I obviously went shopping through my stash.

I'm really disappointed in the color of my flowers - or should I say my crummy computer.  My flowers in my editing program were deep purple....exactly like that lone flower in the inspiration photo...yet it printed pink!  I need a new computer so badly!!!!!

It's the Festive Friday Challenge

Here's another layout for The Outlawz - this time Festive Friday where one of the themes is Flower.  I used papers and elements from Creative Memories.  This kit is Gem Stone.  All in all, I'm pleased with it.  Found the flowers in my stash. I'm really happy with how the colors of this digital paper printed.  I'm never quite sure what I'll get.

Sequins and Spatula

I had a magazine open on my desk with an interesting technique - so decided to put my twist on it today in a scrapbook layout.   The magazine sample used vellum printed with the original photo as frame.  I didn't have vellum that large....so instead duplicated the technique just by changing the transparency level of the back photo.  for the Twisted Thursday Challenge at The Outlawz, I added the "Same Old Stuff" - items that I bought years ago.  I'm not sure how long ago....but I know before I retired in 2018 (because I haven't bought much in embellishments since).  These are the sequins at the top and the spatula at the bottom of my layout. I love that I finally fond a use for the spatula!

The Outlawz Wednesday Sketch Challenge

I played today with some challenges.  I found the Wednesday Sketch at The Outlawz intriguing as it makes for a great scrapbook layout - as I did in this case.  I used digital papers - these are from Heart-to-Heart Graphics.

I followed the Outlawz Wednesday Sketch - flipping it horizontally.

Some Bunny Loves You

It's Spring Sentiments for Monday Greetings at the Outlawz.   I chose a bunny shape to make an Easter gift bag from Simply Crafty.

The file had a top flap, but I didn't take it into consideration when I sized the bunny window.

The sentiment is computer generated and is one of my favorites.

Birthday Fire Pit

Since I've been busy for so long, it was a big deal for me to take on a new type of file.  This file is part of the Camp Firefly Kit from SVG Cuts.  It's available in the shop HERE. I took my time selecting papers - not that you can tell from the photo.  LOL!  It was really pleased with how easy it was to assemble.  I used some old southwest paper for the flames....odd pattern, but I do like the variety of flame colors.

Merry

For this card, I chose to use A Star is Born to work with - from our sponsor All Dressed Up.

At Kerst Christmas, the March challenge is Text - so I added a "sentiment" from Miss Kate Cuttables.  This is a bit fancier than I've been creating lately - hard to imagine I even took this on.  Yikes!  The shepherd is digitally colored and cut to add to the trees for a scene.  The poinsettias are colored using We Are 3's Howdy burlap pattern.  The background patterns come from Fairy Hugs Thunderglow.

Victoria Christmas

One good thing about finding time for my design team samples is that I do find the coloring soothing.  Since I had nothing really pressing yesterday, I digitally colored Victoria Christmas from our sponsor, Mirtillamente.

I unearthed an old free digital paper set from Creative Fabrica (Tropical Patterns.)  It has some green leaf patterned paper, so I created and layered a couple Christmas trees and added so branches for the Kerst Christmas Challenge.
