Kerst is hosting its monthly Christmas challenge - Stitching.  I chose Christmas Stocking for the challenge.  You can find it from Sheepski Designs.  My inspiration project features a gift card holder.  I couldn't resist coloring the image in bold masculine colors - I am especially proud of my coloring work - but to then make it festive was not very easy!  LOL!  Neither was taking a photo!  I wasn't able to get a clear bright photo of my colored image.  But I know my coloring made this image look pretty cute.  Come check out the Kerst Challenge and play with us!

Valentine Be Mine!

An earlier freebie at My Scrap Chick  was a Gnome Candy Bar Wrapper.  This fabulous file is addictive!  And a wonderful way to use up scraps.  For these first adorable gnomes I used scraps from the Spring Butterflies and Dreamy Creamy collections...both from We Are 3  They are definitely fun to make!  I added some miscellaneous word art perfect for the neighborhood kiddies for Valentine's Day.

Here's a few others I made - all for the neighbor kiddies.  All from scraps - notice I did get a bit carried away!

I Love 12 Tags of Christmas at the Ecal Users Group

I don't know about you, but I struggle with Christmas tags.  This tag features some gold-foiled papers from Paper Studio.  I printed the leafy frame hoping to capture the same gold color - but it printed as brown.  A gold paint pen to the rescue.  I attached a sentiment that I printed from Love SVG.

The Merry Christmas is from We Are 3's Christmas set.  I placed everything on a Heart Frame from Miss Kate Cuttables.

2021 Twelve Days of Christmas Tags

Merry Christmas!  Today we are celebrating the 10th Day of Christmas Tags - and what better way to do that than to share a creative tag using things from my stash!

Gotta say, green is my favorite color, so the background with shades of green and foil is one of my fave papers.

The candle and holly are colored digitally.

Ecal Users Gift Card Holder Challenge

Here's a gift card holder.  I used paper from the Be Bold Be Bright pack from Paper Studio.  I added a glittered star (Piccolo glitter is so shiny!)

I created this for the Ecal Users Group Gift Card Holder Challenge.

Christmas Tag Challenge at the Ecal Users Group

I'm so excited to be participating in an exciting challenge for Ecal Users.   I am so happy to be showcasing Tag #10 now.

The candle and holly image is colored digitally.  The background is a lattice pattern from Monica's Creative Room that I shrunk - I didn't resize it; I added a new smaller frame.

Paper Studio The Shoppe on the Square

At the last Snippy Scrappers Crop, we had a card workshop inspired by Meggan and Tessa.  I think I've become a huge fan of them, so I CASEd the cards using a different set of papers.  I finally chose Paper Studio's The Shoppe on the Square.  I used Cactuses Again and Again from the Hungry JPEG for my embellishments - perfect for a hostess gift here in Arizona.

Fall Tag Challenge at Ecal Users Group

Last day of tag inspiration on the Ecal Users Group today using Fall Flower Group from Miss Kate Cuttables.  Aren't they pretty?  Just look at those colors!

This was a ball to make.  I was inspired by a card from Heartfelt Creations - but wanted to make it as a gift tag, so had to alter the dimensions.  I love how it turned out.

I printed the flowers for background and on the doily - then used Print2Cut.  The sentiment is from Magical Sparkle - popped a top the doily.  The doily is Circle Doily Frames from Birds Cards.  I added the holes using the Rhinestone effect in eCal.  Birds Cards has more fabulous doily frames - so be sure to check them out.

Sizzix Eclips Users Group Challenge: Use an SVG Freebie by Birds Cards, Simply Crafty, or Dreaming Tree

For the current challenge at Sizzx Eclips Users Group, we are using Freebies! As it is close to Halloween, I thought a cut and quick card would be fun!
I really wanted to just use stash, so I made the card using Paper Studio papers and an embellie from Graphic 45 - both I'm sure purchased before I retired!!!!  I added a little shadow to Halloween to make it stand out a bit better against the paper pattern.  Thanks for the challenge, Jan - it was fun!

Christmas

Tulips No Lines - OHS
I made this card to CASE a card by Power Poppy Bloomie Cindy Lawrence for Power Poppy's current Power & Spark Challenge - Copy a Bloomie.  (Entries are due by July 31 at 8 p.m. EST, so there's still time for you to join the fun.)  The challenge is to CASE a card designed by a Power Poppy design team member.  For this entry, I chose Cindy Lawrence's No Lines and Birthday Tulips.  While I kept in the green cardstock family, I chose Stand Here Mistletoe for my image and inside sentiment.  Cindy used the no-lines coloring technique.  I prefer to color my images on GIMP, but decided to try that technique in electronic fashion.  I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out.  The red bow did not stand out, so I did outline that in black - but next time would probably outline it in red instead.  I finished the card off with Stickles on my berries.

Tulips No Lines Inside - OHS
Cindy is good about decorating the inside of her cards also - something I rarely take time to do.  However, I followed Cindy's lead and stamped  mistletoe in the corner, added a sentiment, and added a simple border.  I really need to do this more often - it takes very little time!

Clean and Simple Owl Card

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I have a very simple card for you to enjoy today.  The owl is cut from some Paper Studio papers - and glued to blue cardstock - can't get much easier than that for a clean and simple card!

Sympathy Card

Hi, Everyone!  Today I have a card I created using the AMAZING Climbing Clematis (Power Poppy).  I just love these flowers.  I used some Tattered and Worn Paper Collection (Paper Studio) for the papers.  This is a nice card to let someone know you are thinking of them.

Deck the Halls with Chalk Collection for Christmas Cards

Hi, Everyone!

So how many of you are working on your Christmas cards?  Well, I have 45 done - and still 82 to go.  You'd think I'd learn over the years to get these made earlier?  OMG!  LOL!

So on today's cards, I just grabbed some leftover kits from a class I taught last year....I couldn't remember what the original designs were, but the cut paper and sentiments were perfect for creating quick cards.

Paper Studio meets Crafts U Print

I needed a quick hostess gift - made a small package of notecards.  I wanted to keep the focus on the bright colors, so I kept the designs simple by adding only some lilies using flowers from Oriental Lilac Parasol and Fan Lady (Crafts U Print) and adding leaves from Martha Stewart's Leaf punch.

Detroit's Big D

Today I'm showcasing Detroit's Roman D and photos of my grandson wearing the Big D on his Detroit Tigers baseball cap...unfortunately, my kids don't allow his photo online, so you have to imagine just the cutest little guy proudly wearing his cap.
