The Fourth of July is looming, and so in celebration I'm filling an order for some Any Hero Cards. Since I do try to relax on Sunday, I enjoy Operation Write Home's Sunday Sketch Challenges - they allow me to accomplish a lot of crafting with very little thinking on my part. Today's Sketch Challenge is #231. You'll find their sketches are always useful - really versatile - and their linky parties provide you with plenty of inspiration - perfect for birthdays, celebrations, and general everyday card needs - not just for Any Hero cards!
Bursting with patriotic colors, I decided to forego the usual gorgeous embellishments and floral papers for a simple red, white, & blue card with a splash of sparkle with the silver foil background. I also turned the sketch upside down.
My second card adorns a dog tag - compliments of my financial advisor who always sends a little something for the 4th of July. I included a small envelope on the inside of the card to hold the dog tag chain so the recipient can use the dog tag for some other purpose.

ReplyDeletegreat cards!
ReplyDeleteLove both of your cards, but I really like the dog tag on the second one the best~
ReplyDeletePerfect AnyHero cards! I really like the dog tag one with all the layers. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeletePerfect Any Hero cards. I'd have to say the dog tag one is my favorite. I would be cool if a company would come up with that kind of die... I think we'd all buy one.
ReplyDeleteI love what you did with the nautical paper (the one with the knots). Cutting it out and using as a border is genius! :) I have two of those paper pads so recognized it right away and am thinking I now have a new way to use it. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteThe second card with the dog tag really stands out!
