New Challenges at Eclips Users Group and Featured Stamper

There's another new challenge from the Ecal Users Group.  I always gt  kick out of Jan's challenge ideas, but I've gotta say this card is one of my faves. It takes a lot for me to pull out the embossing powder, but I knew immediately I wanted to add some dimension to this fun card.  I had loads of blue-patterned papers in my stash from We Are 3 projects, so I had not trouble choosing colors for the fabulous Lighthouse Scene from Bird's Cards.

I was inspired by this week's Featured Stamper at Splitcoast, who had created a porthole card.

I love making layered mandalas because they are so simple and it's getting to be there are patterns for everything you can think of...some nicer than others, of course.  One of my scrappin' acquaintances asked that I make a sunflower for her daughter.  I was excited to do so...not as excited with the results, but it was certainly fun making!  I used a variety of papers from my digital stash.  Hah, I even pulled out some ink to distress the center for this one!  Easy peasy and lots of fun!

Let's Hear it for the 9th Tag of Christmas!

The angels must be watching me - finding time to complete all 12 Tags of Christmas on time for the Eclips Users Group Challenge and one for the current Crafty Gals challenge sponsored by We Are 3.  I'm showcasing an angel from Treasured Box Designs.  She's cut with my Eclips and layered.  The paper is from We Are 3's Snowmen collection...do notice how well centered the plaid pattern is on the angel's dress....I'd like to take credit for such perfect alignment - but it truly just happened by circumstance.  I added google eyes (just easier that way - LOL!)
