A Sad Occasion in the Neighborhood

Again playing with We Are 3 new papers - this project is dressing up a gift bag.  I love it!  Decorated some gift bags for our wonderful neighbors who are moving - Boo Hoo!  I added a pattern paper to the bag from We Are 3 - Dotted Swiss Canvas.   Used one of my fave color schemes - red, black, and white.  I added a digital sentiment and a punched border...then finished up with lots of goodies for their trip to their new home.

Purse Textures by We Are 3

The newest release at We Are 3 is Purse Textures - perfect timing for fun gift packages for the holidays!  I made this gift package that will hold some color coordinated nail products to donate for a teenage girl needing Christmas gifts.   

Isn't this gorgeous?  You may be thinking - "but so dark!"  However, on her wish list, the teenager requested dark clothes and makeup....I think she will brighten up when she sees the fund black and gold nail strips inside.  I seriously thought about keeping those nail strips for myself!  LOL!

The Gift Bag Swap with SALSA and Pumpkin Delight

This month the gift bag swap at SALSA is Fall/Thanksgiving. Well, I did have my troubles as I think I've pretty much lost all my mojo. The image is from Pumpkin Delight....the rest scraps from my stash.

Paper Ala Mode's Fruits and Vegetables

Are you getting enough fruits and vegetables? Well, it's easy to do so this week because the challenge theme at Paper Ala Mode is Fruits and Vegetables! I have been making decorated gift bags - so I was inspired to add this Silly Chili Pepper from our sponsor Oddball Art to the top of my bag.

I reversed the image a couple times to get a string of peppers we always see on the side of the road.  I love the way it turned out.

Smile! A Floral Gift Bag

I sure am having fun decorating these gift bags. Today I used some decoupage flowers that were gifted to me years ago...and I just couldn't help but add a little butterfly. 

Valentine Gift Bag

Don't you love having a stash of beautiful gift bags when you need one? Well, my go-to gift lately has been the gift of gift bags. For this bag, I used patterned paper to make a bag collar, and added a Valentine image matted with circles. I love how cute it looks. Then just some ribbon and we have a pretty little package.

She's kind of a big deal

There are some of the coolest ideas for decorating gift bags on Pinterest, and I couldn't wait to try this adorable princess bag - well, on Pinterest, the inspiration were princess bags for girls' birthday parties. But I didn't have any princess images - only this fashion clipart. Tell me this isn't the cutest idea! 

Okay, maybe it's truly hokey, but I couldn't resist.

Oh, I just love that the SALSA swap has changed to gift bags! For some reason, I just can't get enough of them! I created this bag for this month's theme of using plaid or checked paper. This was loads of fun to make.

I'm packaging up some sweet packages for a gift of gift bags - who doesn't need to have a bunch of special gift bags in their stash? These are fun. A We Are 3 Gift Bg

I'm having one of those weeks - or should I say months? Back in January, my hubby was saying he's beginning to feel like he spends all his time in doctors' offices. Be careful what say, because since he contracted a bone infection, his nightmare came true - yes, we literally visited four doctor's offices just today! Other than visiting doctors, I decided to make several gift bags for, yes, a gift! For today's bag, I decided to add some color to a bag with a red & white pattern.  I added patterned paper from the Watercolor Batik collection from We Are 3. I added a border. Finally, I cut a flower from Watercolor Batik and some scraps from my stash. The flower is from Dreaming Tree.
