Thanksgiving is right around the corner, so today I am sharing a card with an "Autumn" theme inspired by the challenge at Hiding in My Craft Room.

Twisted Thursday - Buttons
Hi there! I'm back this afternoon with a layout for my grandson's scrapbook.
I made the layout a bit more interactive using my Fuse Tool to add a pocket containing three additional photos. You can see the finished product below.

Memory Keeping

Isn't Feeling Sketchy's Challenge #139 amazing? For some reason, it kept screaming layout at me - rather than card. So today's page is of my grandson crawling beneath a chair - hiding from Mommy. Unfortunately, parents don't allow me to share my wonderful memories - so no baby picture.
Be Happy - this is a stickie rub-on sentiment covered with glitter. These rub-ons were so very popular when I first began scrappin' 11 years ago - I still remember the ah-hah moment I found these in a Ben Franklin . . . that day was full of them - wandering into the craft aisle not knowing there were so many cool scrappin' toys! Still brings chills to me. LOL! Same chills as I used this sentiment today to find out it's still sticky - still such an awesome embellishment that leaves such a clean, classy image.

Playful Patterns
The current challenge at Use Your Stuff #207 to use three or more patterns inspired this layout - mixing and matching patterns to create a fun way to showcase a single photo. The colors I chose go with the rest of Nathan's book (this is Page 9) - a variety of blues to welcome Nathan in March. The patterned papers I used for this layout include Daily Junque - Numbers (Pink Paislee), Treasure - Divine (Authentique), and Mother Goose (Authentique).

Baby, It's Cold Outside!
Cute penguins are key components of this page. "Baby, It's Cold Outside" is the theme for my former coworker's baby shower. This is one page of the photo album gift I am making for her - the photos on this page will be her invitation and others at her shower in February.
This layout is inspired by the January Stash Challenge #34 from Scrap Our Stash. The inspiration is the cover of "The Cat in the Hat." I used the blue/cream colors shown on the cover for my backgrounds...as well as the snow for my "Baby, It's Cold Outside" theme - embellished by the penguins standing in snow (white paint).

When selecting a second image for the Blogaversary, this image from Angie's Cards & Digis (Little Lila Drinking Cocoa) reminded me of sweet birthdays. This image is perfect for Christmas as well. I used Adobe Photoshop on this first image.
Now I have one more card using Little Lila Drinking Cocoa. This is my first attempt using polychromous pencils. While I'm not thrilled with my completed image, I am thrilled that at least my first attempt is presentable - which I can't say using Copic marker, inks, and watercolor pencils.
Be sure to join us in the birthday fun by linking your birthday card - there's prizes!

Cactus
I keep a list of different cards I need - yet never seem to find time to fit all my projects into my schedule. Really, there are days when I’m marvelously productive - other times? I question how I wasted away my day. I was once fabulously gifted at multi-tasking. somewhere I lost that skill - LOL! Things change, I guess.
But today I did get back to my list and made some simple Southwest birthday cards using Cactus Tree from Little Miss Muffet and some Birthday Tags from Fontaholic.

Surprisingly, my card came together quickly - and pretty much looks like what I had imagined. The exquisite background paper is from the Treasure Collection by Authentique. The color scheme was inspired by Today's card guaranteed to put a smile on my face!

2015 Pet-Adoption Event - April 11
April 11 is Tucson's Pet Adoption event, so what better time to scrap the four-legged friends in your life with birthday wishes.
This is your chance to wish two-legged friends with "ruff" and "purr-fect" birthday wishes. There are a lot of different digital files to suit your personal taste and designs for cards. BTW, if you are in the Tucson area, you will probably be able to find a four-legged friend to suit your personal taste at the Pet-Adoption Event, too.

Easter Fresh
Yay! I love this bunny from Digital Crea so much! Here's a card I made for my grandson for Easter (can you believe I didn't have an Easter card in my stash?) I just think this bunny is awesome! I love the colors - even though they aren't quite traditional Easter. The inspiration for this card came from the paw-print frames I've been using for Pet-Adoption cards - looks like a bunny print to me! Super easy and simple to pull together.
The sentiment is a free digital sentiment from Bross Artful.

Puppies are great for sending greetings - including birthday. Whether it's from a digital image or stamp, using a pup meakes for a fun, homemade card. And the best part? Puppy files are easy to find from SVG Cuts, 2 Cute Ink, and Kadoodle Bug.

Burnished Velvet Kick
Help....got my hands on some great freebies and have become absolutely hooked on covering them with glitter! 2 Cute Ink and Miss Kate Cuttables have some fabulous freebies out there...I just had to see these in glitter. So I've been playing with my new eClips which I am loving for how it handles detail. It handles these files super well....cutting the detail on cardstock covered with two-sided adhesive paper...then a couple multi cuts for the final cut. Cover with a fine glitter (Glitter Ritz is my favorite). Loving them!!!!!

Flower Design Element
Hi Everyone,
How is everyone doing on this wet July Saturday? Yes, even here it's wet!
Today I am featuring a peek at a gift set of cards I made for my cousin. I wanted to get them made in a hurry (as usual) - but also wanted to test out my new eClips. I selected a middle-of-the-road doily-like embellishment to be the center point of each card. I chose this because I knew it was something my Cricut couldn't handle...but I feared using a file any more intricate - did not want to be disappointed the first time out! I am actually pleasantly surprised...although I used only good-sized embellishments on these cards, I did take this file down to less than 1-1/2" and still got a great cut! Most of the paper used in this project is from Authentique's Blissful Collection.
Also, all the designs are based from sketches provided by Operation Write Home....these are great when you are in a hurry and want some basic ideas.
I am so excited....next project, UP cards for my sis. (Lori, have a great idea for showing Neebish Island!)
Have a great week!
