Happy Easter

WooHoo!  A new paper collection today at We Are 3 with a theme everyone is waiting for - Spring Fling

I created an Easter Card using Spring Fling available by We Are 3 on Etsy and tag from We Are 3.

The bunny is covered with chocolate glitter - been in my stash for years.

The sentiment is from Tea Tags, colored digitally with the purple paper and tied on with baker's twine.  The Tea Tags are also We Are 3.

Happy Easter!

The last day of the Easter Tag challenge, and here I am finished!  These adorable bunnies were a freebie from Crafts U Print.  To be honest, I've been wanting to put them together for a while, cut didn't have a use for them.

Crafts U Print are so generous with their freebies.

Another for the Ecal Users Group

Yikes!  My machine hates me this week!  I haven't replaced the blade in years....and had little trouble....but I replaced the blade today, and it just does not want to work!  Ugh!  Here's what should have been a quickie - but literally spent days adjusting the machine - did this one for the Ecal Users Group - which actually requires using the machine!  It's yet another Easter Tag....or Spring Tag I should say.

The "egg" is a Design Bundles freebie.  The ladybug is Sweet Ladybug from 2 Cute Ink.  I think it makes a sweet little tag.

Another Easter Tag for Ecal Users

It's time for the Tag Challenge on the Ecal Users Group Facebook Page , and we're celebrating Easter.  This time my tag is a little more off-beat.  Can you think of anything more Easter than the Easter bunny?  I remember one Easter when I was about 8 that my Uncle Steve walked in the house with a grocery bag full of Easter bunnies for me - well, maybe there were two or three - but none would have made my mother a happier person.  I, on the other hand, was so excited and happy!  For this tag, I used the adorable Multi-Layer Easter Tag, currently available for free here at Design Bundles.  I used ink-blended papers from Fairy Hugs that reminded me of bright Easter colors.

I didn't position the bunny on the ink-blended paper - but kind of love how it looks like the bunny is wearing a deeper yellow jacket...not to mention the Zorro-type eye mask.

Cute Easter Layout

Made this layout for the Creative Memories Virtual Crop last weekend.  Kind of a rush - but I still think it's cute.

Lovely Easter Bunny

I'm loving all the cute Easter images by All Dressed Up and decided to use Easter Bunny for my design for the Paper Ala Mode Challenge at The Outlawz.  The patterned oval was created with Monica's Creative Room's Lattice 46.  Easter Bunny was colored digitally.

New Spring Tag for Eclips Users Group

Here's the fourth Spring Tag I'm showcasing for the fabulous Eclips Users Group Spring Tag Challenge.  Had fun creating a shaker tag.  The sentiment is a digital from We Are 3, and I added clear sequins for the shake.  And for the tag?  Here's a Holiday Tag - alright, intended for Christmas - but the white flowers make me think of white lilies.

Butterfly Bear from 2 Cute Ink

Since Spring is only two weeks away, I chose the gorgeous Butterfly Bear for today's card.  I can't wait  for the flowers to bloom.  It's truly a wonderful time of year.  I pulled spring-colored papers from my stash and added an Easter sentiment - from my stash as well.

He's colored digitally - I've been practicing my shading using layers of Gaussian Blur.

Botanical Bouquet and Botanical Cluster

Well, I've been wanting to create some cut-edge floral cards for a while, and when I saw the new Botanical Bouquet and Botanical Cluster, I knew just what to do.

The flowers are colored digitally and cut on my Eclips - with some of them popped.  I also added some gems for shimmer.  The sentiments are from the Spring set.

Happy Easter

Well, you know I love me some watercolor images - and Creative Fabrica has some of the prettiest.

I made a card with digital paper and print-2-cut the flowers, white border, and sentiment.  It's flowers - so I chose a sentiment from We Are 3's Spring set.

I had so much fun making that card, I wondered about being able to do the same thing with a colored frame....this is what I came up with.

Easter Layout

I made a layout using the adorable Minimal Preppy Black and White Dot from The Hungry JPEG, some Black Bandana from Great Graphics, and computer-generated elements.

New Release at We Are 3

I am using one of the beautiful new circle images released last week.  The background is from the Circle Scenes set.  I used digital paper from the Canvas Scenes collection for the matting.  I added a silhouette bunny because I thought the paper has such an Easter feel.  Sooo beautiful!  The sentiment is from the White on Black set.

Ecal Users Group Easter Tag Challenge

Always fun to join in the challenges at the Ecal Users Group.  This week we want to see Easter and tags!  I knew immediately I wanted to use some files I've never used before.  This one - I can't even remember some of the files I used.

Celebrate Spring at We Are 3

What's in a background?  Check out the new Springtime paper collection.  This set comes with beautiful overlays.  Digital overlays work much the same way as plastic overlays in traditional scrapbooking.  You can use the overlay itself - or put it on top of another digital paper for a totally different effect.  Today I'm sharing four cards with the same overlay.  In some cases the difference is obvious - in others the difference is quite subtle.

Card 1 uses the overlay just as a digital paper background.  If printed on white cardstock, you get a white background.  You can also print this on any cardstock - lighter colors work best.  However, all the flowers will pick up a bit of the color - which can be fun, too.
The second card is the same overlay printed on top of the blue Sunny Day pattern in the same collection.
Card 3 is printed on a lace-patterned paper from the Ladybug Lace, Too set.  It's subtle - the lace pattern provides a subtle two-tone background design.  It's hard to tell in the photos, but the bunny's jacket actually has the same design - very tiny.
The last card I tried - the overlay design is printer on gold-foiled cardstock.  I love this effect!  Though the bunny doesn't quite match in elegance on this card.
What will you print behind these beautiful flowers?  Run to the Etsy store to purchase this, if you haven't already.  Try it!  You'll like it!

Each Honey Bunny has three layers - popped for dimension.  Honey Bunny is great motivation to begin on those Easter cards.

Rainbow Hugs - Sunshine Kisses Card

This is my first Easter card this year. As you can see, I used Rainbow Skies - I think it is soooo pretty. I did a little paper piecing by using one of the patterns for the Easter egg. I also used a sentiment from the Rainbow Wishes set.

Eggs and The Outlawz Progressive Challenge

So on the crafting front - still dealing with my husband's bone infection - just learning it'll be two additional weeks of treatment. This month at The Outlawz Progressive Challenge, we are using Eggs from Sandra Van Blaricum.
These eggs were loads of fun to color.  I made a bag topper for a local bag exchange.

Spring Chick, Mystery Chick, Mojo Chick

I love a good challenge or swap - and often try to combine.  Our local scrapbooker's group meets month and swaps cards with a specific "mystery item" - this month's being white cupcake liners.  What a great feeling when that inspiration clicks!  So today I am sharing a card inspired by Mojo Monday's Sketch Challenge #498 - using my cupcake paper liners.  My papers are watercolored using Ken Oliver's Color Burst - as is my Spring Chick.
