Outlawz Challenges Sunday Songs and Rhymes - Let It Snow

The challenge this week for Songs and Rhymes is Let It Snow - Let it Snow! Let it Snow! Let it Snow! The sponsor this month is Stix2. All the product I used in my card are scraps from when I used to teach classes; and, although you can barely see it, I embossed the edges of the diamond shape.

Happy Hobby!

Here it is - one of my favorite challenge themes - and I resorted to a very simple card. The paper is from the Just a Song Collection (We Are 3).
This very simple and quick card is my design for the Paper Ala Mode challenge - Hobbies. I simply printed and cut the train - added a glittered border - added a sticker from my train stash. If you'd like to join us, check out the challenge at Paper Ala Mode.

Creative Confetti with Power Poppy

This week, Power Poppy asked us to create projects with a little fall flavor.  This card I made for this challenge is this simple fall card using Gladioli from Power Poppy.
I colored the flowers in some deep fall colors, then layered them on top of a "rolodex" card printed with a pattern from Tropical Delights (We Are 3).  I used We Are 3's Fall Inspiration for the card front.  I added some raffia and sequins to finish off the card.

The Adventure Begins

I have been busy playing with all kinds of techniques from the Inspire Me Monday Posts at Power Poppy.  Julie share three unique techniques in her post, A Little Word Play - all three are very fun to work with.

For this third technique, I used the Scene Ladybugs digital image - Bugaboo to create the background for this fun card.  The sentiment added is The Adventure Begins from So Fontsy.  Be sure to check out this inspirational ideas at Power Poppy...then play along in their Power & Spark Challenge - Go Ahead, Inspire Me.

Card for Tuesday Color Challenge and Featured Stamper #591

Here is another card for today - this is one I made for the Color Challenge at The Outlawz - also inspired by the Featured Stamper at Splitcoast Stampers.  Another card using papers from Winter Serenity and Winter Splendor - can you tell I love these papers!!!!  They are just so soothing!  The image is a new freebie from Anne Fenton - available at The Outlawz.  It is an image that was fun to color - I just love lilacs and playing with the purples and blues was fun.  This was just a fun, easy card!

Hues to Use Challenge

Hello, Everyone!  Hope you all had a wonderful day!  I had an awesome day creating my own background paper for the Hues to Use Challenge.  I had a blast!  After several starts, I was able to get the look I wanted.  It's a color challenge again over at Power Poppy today.  The colors are inspired by Tight Malachite during Marcy's visit to the Smithsonian.  These colors are so much fun - I had to join in.  But then again, Hues to Use and Featured Stamper at Splitcoast are my two greatest reasons to avoid housework!  Be sure to stop over at Power Poppy for all the details and check out the amazing inspiration from Julie.
My background is created using one flower - Josephine Clematis (Doodle Pantry).  My background is inspired by Jessie's card at Power Poppy yesterday where she enlarged a floral design, creating a background.  I took the one flower and printed several copies in different sizes and different colored patterns.  I added some borders, along with adding a sentiment and a butterfly.  The sentiment is from Whimsical Love (Robin Gough).

February "Jumpstart" Challenge at The Scraproom Blog

Today I have a layout I made using the February "Jumpstart" Challenge Sketch from The Scraproom Blog.  This sketch is so versatile and provides a good layout on which to add small embellishments - such as my little "train" embellies you see here.

Celebrate a Birthday

Papercrafting Challenge: Magazine Mondays - Week 131 Inspiration Piece (image)
I wanted to make something simple tonight.  When I saw the Papercrafting Challenge #131 - the New Yorker Magazine, I quickly put this card together - Inspired by the colors of the magazine cover. I have penguin images left over from a scrapbook.  I added a birthday hat - and a quick sentiment.  Some pretty embossed cardstock just finished the card off.
