The "Brightside" of Being a Grandma
Brightsides is currently the free font available at Font Bundles. This seemed like a perfect font for a tag I needed for Grandparents' Day. I used the same image - New Baby - from Ike's Art that I used for my latest Get Creative design. I am in love with this image!!!! The background is Drawn Watercolor Art Background from Free Design Files. I'd like to take credit for the quilled flowers, but they were a gift. My photo doesn't do this tag justice - these colors are something you have to see in real life!

Posy Patch Birthday Cards
Heartfelt Creations Daisy Patch flowers - what in the world can you do with these fun little things? I sure found some inspiration using these little treasures on birthday cards! When I stamp flowers like these, I prefer to stamp a whole page in different sizes....then sit in front of the television set while I fussy cut the flowers. Yes, I have the matching dies - but I just find it more relaxing to fussy cut.....and I do so many, I've become quite quick. Having the matching dies is still a must, though....as I use them to cut out plain flowers that will be covered with glitter.

Be Mine
I have another fun and inspirational card to share with you today! My personal challenge was to use Photoshop to color a digital stamp in a different way with shading. For this card, I used a digital stamp from 2 Cute Ink.

Happy Groundhog's Day!
Happy Groundhog's Day! Here is a card I made for a friend; I colored the image in Photoshop (which I enjoy more than Copics, by the way). Coloring in Photoshop is not hard to use - I just can't get a grip on all the effects - but I do love playing around with it. The image is a digital freebie from Little Scraps of Heaven.

Now, remember there is a Pink-Grey-White Challenge going on at Scraps to Treasures - be sure to link up your project for a chance to win a RAK.

What a Bug!
Hi all!
For this week’s design, it all started with a challenge I am entering requiring a Joy-Fold Card. I wanted to use a 2 Cute Ink digi as the "hidden treasure" inside.
For my "hidden treasure," I used 2 Cute Ink's recent release "Cupcake Ladybug." I used WordArt to add a sentiment over the bug. For those of you following me, you know that I have been trying to learn Photoshop better to color digital images....I had fun with this one practicing some shadowing (cupcake topping) and some texture (cupcake wrapper) - as well as how to give my ladybug a black face without losing her eyes and nose. I wish I could provide a tutorial for you - but, quite honestly, I just kept hitting buttons until I got lucky! Hopefully soon I will know the program well enough to provide solid tips. I do have to say - I may never use my Copics on another digital image.

I enjoyed making this special-fold card . . . and I'm off to make another one for the challenge. You see, I need a lot of birthday cards, so made this a birthday card. When I finished - ooops - read instructions. The challenge card needs to be a Valentine's card (requiring hearts should have been my clue!). So now off to make a Valentine's card.

Tweet Gradient with Balloon Birdie
Hi Fellow Crafters,
Thank you for joining us on the blog today. Whew! The holidays are behind us, and now I must have 40 Valentine cards ready by the first of the year. Perfect time to bring you some quick & simple cards.
Today I am bringing you a slightly different way of coloring your digital stamps. For some time now, I have been wanting to learn how to use the gradient tool in Photoshop for select elements of a digital stamp. I found a great tutorial and had my balloon on the Balloon Birdie digi colored (gradient) in no time at all! (Yes, I am just so proud of myself....tee, hee.) So this cute card is ready to go in less than five minutes! Very easy project!
You can learn to gradient color your digital stamps here, compliments of Adobe.
