Stick It Down Sketch Challenge

New month - new challenges at Stick It Down! I love the single-page sketch this month - super quick and easy! I'm really excited about how my layout turned out. I used the sweet We Are 3 Dragonflies in Flight paper. I flipped the sketch horizontally, used some digital splashes, and - what I think I loved most - got to use up some of the awesome border stickers in my stash! The title on the photo is computer generated. I finished it off with some sequins.
Isn't it sweet?  So come on and play along with the current challenge at Stick It Down - loads of fun and inspiration.

Mother's Day with Adrian

The Stick It Down Sketch Challenge this month has a challenging layout. I had a hard time making this sketch my own. This does not at all look like what was in my head when I designed it....and at some point I had to say, "Oh, well....good enough." I know the color scheme I picked out for this grandson's current album is dark - and I think this sketch is just more well suited to pastel colors and a feminine theme.

Now pop over to the Stick It Down Challenge Blog to check out what others are creating with this sketch.  I'm going to give the two-page layout a try today....I hope I have better results.  Stick It Down has three great challenges to play along with.  And there is a prize to be had!  Wishing you better luck!

Sketch Challenge at Stick It Down

I LOVE scrapbooking and making double page layouts. You can use more photos and larger images. Is there anything sweeter than have a great sketch to follow? This month's Stick it Down sketch is fun - it allows for a simple layout like mine, or more elaborate embellishments (if you are feeling creative and have time). The papers are from the Look Up collection from We Are 3. I used scraps for the diagonal lines except where 12" paper wouldn't fit - then I used some paper tape that was gifted to me. For my embellishments, I added just a few butterflies and small black beads.
As usual, there is loads of inspiration at Stick It Down, so pop by their blog to check it out.  There are always fabulous entries for the sketch challenges to win a $20 credit for Spiegelmom Scraps.  Be sure to join in the fun!

Recycle It - Vacation

0716_sbcrecycleit
Hello!  Welcome!  Today I'm excited to share a layout FOR ME!  I'm so often making layouts for others.  My inspiration was Scrapbook Challenge's "Recyle It" challenge - themed Vacation - and using a mood board (July 2016).

Sketch Challenge: Wedding Layout

470
Happy Monday, Everyone!

Popping in with an entry for Sketch #470 at Scrapbook Challenges.  It was a paper kind of day - but I'll be quiet for a while as I get my St. Patrick's Day cards ready.

For this challenge, I made a layout of my in-laws for one of my hubby's siblings.  I am using the fabulous papers from DCWV - The Rustic Stack.  It's a little bit country - and little bit elegance...but always puts out an adorable project sure to delight my in-laws.
The sentiment is from Baer Design Studios - the digital image is I Love You by Kajsan.  Wishing you a great week!

Christmas Layout

Papercrafting Challenge: Magazine Mondays - Week 127! - Papercrafting Challenge: Magazine Mondays – Week 127 Inspiration Piece (image source: Anthology Magazine):
It's the day after Christmas, and - of course, I have a layout to share.  My inspiration came from Papercrafters Corner's challenge #127.  I was inspired by the dreamy ornaments in the picture - adding some simple, but glittering ornaments on my layout.  Many people wonder about my choice of colors - but my grandson's entire photo album is red, black, and neutral colors.  My selection of the black diamond-patterned background is inspired by the black starred background in the challenge inspiration.

Family Fun

303Hello!  Today I have a layout to share that I created using Sketch #303 from Scrapbook Challenges.  I mixed things up a little using arrows rather than tags.  Some ruffled crepe I bought years ago was perfect and, I think, adds to the vintage feel I want.  I accented with some leftover images from Graphic 45's A Place in Time.
I just love sketch challenges to help me scrap . . . these layouts are perfect for all sorts of themes.

Have a lovely day.

Vintage Family Memories

SBC_Sketch458Today - on to Scrapbook Challenge Sketch #458...WOW!  I really like this sketch.  Thank You!

I'm so disappointed by the photo - the cardstock I'm using is detailed in glitter - with a type of quilting pattern . . . GORGEOUS!  Unfortunately, you can't see that in the photo - so here's a small closeup of some of the cardstock detail (though still pretty tough to see its glittering beauty).

Loving the Rails

Hello!

It's been 15 years since I had the opportunity of a lifetime - to engineer the 1225 out of Owosso, Michigan.  Today I am finally beginning to scrap all my railroad adventures over the past 15 years.  My adventures include the 1225 (the REAL Polar Express), my wedding, a Red-Carpet movie premiere, annual anniversaries, a trip to Alaska, and miscellaneous railroad adventures.
457This layout is for  Scrapbook Challenges #547.

Circles of Memories - Scrapbook Challenge #444

Hi, All!  Happy Wednesday!
444
Today's post features Sketch #444 from Scrapbook Challenge.  Such a fun layout - with photos in circles!  Just had to use it!

I used the title from Miss Kate Cuttables - Magical Words Set.  And besides circles, I used a topper from SVG Cuts One-Piece Boxes.  The hearts are also from Miss Kate Cuttables - Jar of Hearts.
