This month's release at We Are 3 includes a little bit of summer and a little bit of winter - and I love how well they go together! Simple gift bag decor with Snow Globes and Honeycomb.
Last week, the Monday Greetings Challenge at The Outlawz was celebrating gratitude - don't faint, but I actually got a card made! I dug into my scraps and found everything I needed except for the greetings - so I used a greeting from We Are 3's Itty Bitty sentiment collection. I was excited to use up some scraps from my stash. all working well together.
This month at We Are 3, we have a fab new release - HoneyComb. I used HoneyComb for my background from this fun Diamond-Top folded card - and found some old punch-out flowers in my stash. Perfect!
Here it is - a favorite time of year - Christmas in July! What I have to share today is an ATC made for two challenges - Power Poppy's Christmas in July and an ATC challenge for Sizzix Eclips Users.
So I chose many images to color for Christmas in July. The fireplace background is from Merry Christmas Stamps (Emily Peterson) - size adjusted to 2.5 x 3.5 for the ATC. Then I colored up some rectangles to act as my "bricks." I adorned the fireplace mantel with Hollyberries (Power Poppy) and Vintage Stockings (Miss Kate Cuttables). The stocking was pre-colored - I added some shading. I finished off the ATC with Overstuffed Santa (Dan Moose). Then everything was Print 2 Cut with my Eclips. (#eclipsecalmaker) I love the dimension of my ATC.
I made this layout for this week's Featured Stamper at Splitcoast Stampers. I just LOVE when a layout turns out as I imagined...this turned out to be one of my favorites. The patterned paper in the background and matting is from the Look Up collection - as well as the patterns used on the banner (subtle, but from that same collection).
Are you getting enough fruits and vegetables? Well, it's easy to do so this week because the challenge theme at Paper Ala Mode is Fruits and Vegetables! I have been making decorated gift bags - so I was inspired to add this Silly Chili Pepper from our sponsor Oddball Art to the top of my bag.
I reversed the image a couple times to get a string of peppers we always see on the side of the road. I love the way it turned out.
Okay - it's a new month - and at We Are 3, that means new releases!!!! I was so excited about this month's new papers, I had to take a pattern out of each to make a card! The first panel sports paper from Snow Globes, the second panel uses a pattern from Fruity, and the third panel has a fun Honeycomb pattern. For my image I used Strawberry Cone and added a little glitter to my strawberries for some shimmer.
A bit hard seeing all the luscious glitter on the strawberries.
I hope you're inspired to take a look at the rest of the July Release and fabulous samples from the design team.
For today's card, I cut the Watermelon Cupcake and added it to a Fruity sentiment. I added the Fruity background, and a little accent from the HoneyComb collection.
I'm really happy with the results, especially after I added the few red gems. Pop over to We Are 3's Facebook page and take a look at beautiful inspiration from all the design team members.
It's a new month and new challenges at Stick It Down - so, of course, I had to try my hand at one. I wasn't able to get a really good pic of my layout, but I wish you could see it in person! I used Layered Doily 5 from Monica's Creative Corner as a stencil for the circles around the edges. I digitally "spray painted" around the stencil in purple to show off the lovely white lace circles. The embellishments are from my stash (kind of on a mission to use up some of those things).
You all know there's nothing I love more than quick and easy cards. One thing I like about We Are 3 images is getting a black line digi image, as well as a pre-colored image. When I'm in a hurry, I appreciate not having to take time to color an image. Since this is basically a one layer card (other than matting), I added some yellow shading around the sentiment and honey bee - then called it done!
Just a little quicky for a couple challenges. The fab image is Gladioli - a digi from Power Poppy. One digi is left uncolored and used as a background for the colored gladioli - inspired by Ardyth Percy-Robb's spotlight card. The colors for the flowers and card background are inspired by the Color Challenge at The Outlawz.
This month, We Are 3 is releasing some super fun papers - loving the colors!!! I love these turquoise patterns available in both the new Snow Globes and Honeycomb collections. The sentiment I've used here is from the new Fruity sentiment collection. The cupcake is last month's Watermelon Cupcake.
Bonnie knocked the July collections out of the park - be sure to check the Facebook page for tons of creative inspiration this month. I hope you're inspired enough to try your own.
This week at The Outlawz Festive Fridays, one of the challenges is Birthday. I used all scraps - so I couldn't even begin to tell you names.
There's some fabulous stuff going on at The Outlawz, so be sure to check out the fun creations by its design team members. There's also A $12 gift code for Bugaboo to be won - so join us and play along.
