Greetings from Arizona

I've been wanting to do a project with the beautiful Raccoon Girl Birdcage Silhouette - finally took the time.  I had the perfect ink-blended paper from We Are 3 - Christmas Textures.

The added flowers are preprinted watercolor flowers in my stash (think they are from Creative Fabrica - but not sure).  I attached a computer-generated sentiment.

Christmas in July

I'm thrilled to be back in my craft room for some fabulous papercrafting. I chose a mix of papers, including one of my fave digi paper collections from We Are 3 - Frozen - and the Frozen collection from DisneeyArt.  The entire album is Frozen themed....but these pages get extra duty as they will hold Christmas photos.

I have so many fun embellishments already in my stash, it's hard to tell you where they come from.

Anything Goes Design for Kerst Christmas

I'm thrilled to be a designer for the Kerst Christmas Challenge.  One of our sponsors this month is Last-Minute Manda - with North Pole Express.  Gotta say I laughed out loud when I took the photo of my train scene...it wasn't until then I realized my "fence" is actually supposed to be train tracks!

Be sure to visit the Kerst Christmas Challenge for more fabulous holiday designs and come play along.

We Are 3 Cards

The wonderful sentiments and papers on these cards are all from We Are 3 - Friend and Pumpkin Delight.  The flowers and pumpkins used to embellish are from Pumpkin Rose (The Hungry JPEG).

I finally found some time to actually PLAY!  i'm pretty happy with the outcome.  What do you think?

Each year my husband's grandmother's family has a reunion - each person brings a gift to be auctioned off that pays for the next reunion.  We won't be able to attend (again!), but I always like to send a set of cards to be auctioned off so that the family members remember us.  LOL!

The Paper Ala Mode Masculine Challenge

I've been wanting to create a simple card with just a digital watercolor splash of color in the background behind a fun image.  I love how this turned out....and could be a fast technique for a quick card.

It's Saturday and that means a fabulous new challenge from Paper Ala Mode.  You know I love me some vintage vehicles, so I was thrilled to work with the The Old Truck.  The fun image came from Fred She Said.  The sentiment is from Miss Kate Cuttables, and the watercolor splashes are from Font Bundles.

The actual card design was inspired by Notable Ink.  You can see masculine inspiration for many of Fred She Said images in the Paper Ala Mode Challenge.  Hope to see you there.

Cute Butterflies

I love taking a Featured Stamper card (Splitcoast) and see how I can CASE it with tools I have other than what they used.  So today I chose a card using a butterfly die that I do not own.  I picked a butterfly SVG (Butterfly Pocket - SVG Cuts) and used some functions on my Eclips to replicate the same design.  Kind of a challenge - especially since I changed the size and shape of the card - but aren't my butterflies cute?  I had a sheet of the pretty Mosaic Background (We Are 3) in my stash and used that for my butterfly design.

Purple and White for Paper Ala Mode

It's a new challenge at Paper Ala Mode as we're using Purple and White.  Our design team members have created with an amazing assortment of images from Fred She Said.  What better way to get this month started!

I'm happy to be showcasing I Love You This Much available at Fred She Said.  This cute image was fun to color...and looked wonderful when I saved it and closed it....only to print looking like she just got out of the mud pile!  But as a grandma, I thought if a muddy little granddaughter came running up with her arms open like this...I wouldn't see the dirt at all.

I colored her entirely digitally, including the mud that captures her fun spirit (what was originally a bit of shadow).

Bryan's Baby from Sheepski Designs

The gorgeous Bryan's Baby image from Sheepski Designs is available this month on The Outlawz Freebie Progressive challenge.  You can also obtain the image at Sheepski Designs. I've seen many gorgeous colors using this image, but I've gone with a basic tan (colored digitally).  The green/blue background is digital paper from We Are 3 (Alcohol Splashes), and I added a sentiment from We Are 3's Graduation set.

Kerst Christmas sponsored by Sheepski Designs

Meet the adorable Christmas Post Box from Sheepski Designs.

Here's a closeup of this sweetie, colored digitally.  With so many digital options for wood available, I had a hard time choosing.  But keeping in greytones make my bird stand out - just brings back memories of cardinals who would visit us in the Michigan winters.  I know....this is not a cardinal...but I also enjoyed the robins that visited us in the spring.  Click here to get your own Christmas Post Box digital image.

My little gift box was made using the Tapered Gift Box and Bow from My Scrap Chick.

Have a TURTLE-Y Awesome Day!

I knew the majority of today would be dedicated to some crafting - I have so many special cards to get made.  Amazing that I have hundreds of cards in my stash, but nothing appropriate for when I actually need to send a card.  I sometimes look at the cards in my stash and wonder what I was thinking when I created those!  Today I went for the adorable Little Turled from 2 Cute Inks...his shell paper pieced digitally and ready to go out to make someone's day.  Woo Hoo!  Something a little different for me - so it was fun!

I added a digital postmark behind the turtle for a little more interest.  Afterwards, I though how appropriate considering how long the mail takes these days.  The patches of the turtles shell are digitally paper pieced with lovely patterns from We Are 3 - Cactus.  I love the finished turtle!

Power Poppy Blossom Challenge

It's Day 4 of the new Power Poppy Blossom Challenge - although I'm not using "Spring" flowers, I was already creating this card using Power Poppy's Black-Eyed Susan - so I'm feeling pretty good sharing this in the challenge.  There is so much inspiration from the fabulous Bloomies - it's mind boggling.  There's almost a month to go to get your entry in.  Wow!  Today I'm sharing a card using papers from the new Graduation collection from We Are 3.  They have lovely bright colors.

I used the papers with the stars and "confetti" which are appropriate for all occasions.  The sentiments are computer generated.  While this card was created for someone who is very ill, I hope the beautiful bright colors will bring some joy for her and her family.

Loving Olaf!

On this layout, I used Olaf 68 - Disneey Arts.

For the layout base I used We Are 3 Frozen and shrunk the pattern for a more tone-on-tone effect.  I layered another pattern from the Frozen collection - enlarged for a more dramatic pattern.  The Happy sticker just happened to be in an embellishment kit I recently purchased.  The "title" is computer generated.

Graduation Caps

Our new release is Graduation (papers and sentiments) and Graduation Caps - I made a card using the gorgeous new papers available at We Are 3's Etsy shop.  Gotta love that We Are 3.  Just look at those gorgeous colors! from We Are 3.

I am particularly fond of the confetti pattern that can be used for all celebrations.

Grace Selfie for Freebie Progressive Challenge

It's the beginning of May, and you know what that means.  New Progressive Freebie Challenge at the Outlawz.  Spring is here, and I'm thrilled to be showcasing Charming Asters.  The flowers are pre-colored, but I colored the cute freebie digitally.  I used We Are 3's Really Simple for the background, which really made the Asters pop.  The matting is Alcohol Splashes for the matting.  I added the freebie to the frame and called it done.

You can check out inspiration for the new freebie on The Outlawz Challenge page, but also take a peek at We Are 3's Etsy shop.  The Progressive Freebie Challenge runs through May 31.  Lots of fun!  Hope to see you there.

New Release for We Are 3

Today I decided to play with the new Alcohol Splashes digital papers from We Are 3.  I added some silk and paper flowers and embossed and sanded the top layer.  I used ribbon and sequins, and sequins refuse to embellish the card further.

Summer Splashes at We Are 3

There's a new release at We Are 3.

I made a card using We Are 3 papers from the new Summer Splashes collection and an image from Lavinia Stamps.

You can purchase these papers on the We Are 3 Etsy page.

Power Hour with Meggan and Tessa

It's getting harder and harder for me to keep up with all of the events and challenges I want to participate in.  Been working hard to fit them all in.  Tuesday, I participated in Meggan and Tessa's Power Hour.  I started out with Touch of Teal and Mosaic Background from We Are 3.  I added some striped paper from Digital Scrapbooking Experts (Oh, So Pretty).  It's a simple layout with just the addition of a title and journaling box.

Creative Memories Virtual Crop

I'm a bit behind in posting my challenges.  This was an entry with Creative Memories Virtual Crop.
