I knew today would not be filled with crafting for fun because I'm out of beautiful sympathy cards - yet my phone keeps ringing. To save time, I decided to go white on white - I think there's nothing more elegant than white on white. So here are a couple sympathy cards.
There's another new challenge from the Ecal Users Group. I always gt kick out of Jan's challenge ideas, but I've gotta say this card is one of my faves. It takes a lot for me to pull out the embossing powder, but I knew immediately I wanted to add some dimension to this fun card. I had loads of blue-patterned papers in my stash from We Are 3 projects, so I had not trouble choosing colors for the fabulous Lighthouse Scene from Bird's Cards.
Today I decided to play with the new Alcohol Splashes digital papers from We Are 3. I added some silk and paper flowers and embossed and sanded the top layer. I used ribbon and sequins, and sequins refuse to embellish the card further.

It's Saturday, and that means it's new-challenge day for Paper Ala Mode - and Mom's the focus. Lovely Springtime is a princess and loves to pick Spring flowers. I made a simple card with papers from Creative Fabrica (I already forgot the name!) and We Are 3 (GranMargaret's Flowers). The theme is Mother's Day....and I probably should have added a Mother's Day sentiment.....but I really just love the image by itself!
I'm thrilled to be designing for the Kerst Christmas Challenges. Our theme this month is Square/Rectangle - which is hard to make special as 99.9% of my cards are square or rectangle. Anyway, I the image digitally and added a digital background and sentiment. I added some digital watercolor snowflakes, matted everything with white, and called it done. I kind of love it!

It's getting harder and harder for me to keep up with all of the events and challenges I want to participate in. Been working hard to fit them all in. Tuesday, I participated in Meggan and Tessa's Power Hour. I started out with Touch of Teal and Mosaic Background from We Are 3. I added some striped paper from Digital Scrapbooking Experts (Oh, So Pretty). It's a simple layout with just the addition of a title and journaling box.
I'm a bit behind in posting my challenges. This was an entry with Creative Memories Virtual Crop.
Last weekend I joined in the Creative Memories Virutal Crop with this fun Frozen layout using Frozen papers and embellishments from Disneeyarts...I also have some accents using Frozen from We Are 3. Although I do love my scrapbooks to follow a theme, I really get a kick out of fall photos with a Frozen theme.
Adorable layout with sweet Frozen images from Disneeyarts (a kazillion Frozen images for $2!). The set comes with gorgeous images, cartoon images, snow borders, snowflakes, and more. The red borders are from my stash from a class I taught ages ago. The major portion of the paper comes from the Frozen collection at We Are 3.
This month the Outlawz Freebie Progressive Challenge is being sponsored by MMedel Illustrations. This adorable little angel is from MMedel Illustrations called Christmas Angel. She's colored digitally. The flowers are from my stash. Her halo of holly is from We Are 3, as are the background papers.
I'm finally getting a little more comfortable with coloring digitally, and I'm pretty happy with the outcome. What do you think?

This is the last page of my niece's scrapbook with a Ratoutille theme using Paris Cafe from We Are 3. I cut a collage frame from Monica's Creative Room. The title is computer generated.
As you might have noticed, I've been playing along with the sketches of the Creative Memories Virtual Crop - every month there's a virtual crop with six new sketches that are always fun and exciting.
Here I made a card using digital paper from Creative Fabrica's Beautiful Autumn Oak Leaves. I couldn't help but add a butterfly.
For today's card I decided to go light and Springy with the gorgeous Painted Canvas. The sentiment is printed AND cut onto Creative Fabrica's Love Spring Florals frame. I printed part of the sentiment from the Fruity set at We Are 3 - I cut the word "Jam" to allow the background to show through.
You know I have tons of scraps in my stash. Kind of a simple design with a Christmas tree from Power Poppy and a computer-generated sentiment - both found in my stash. I had two trees, so I cut out some individual flowers and popped them for dimension. I added a frilly border to my sentiment.
The digital image is from 2 Cute Ink, and I also used a sentiment from Creative Fabrica. The sentiment is from the Love Spring Florals bundle. I colored the image digitally...looks like I got carried away with the shading beneath the cupcake.
I'm loving all the cute Easter images by All Dressed Up and decided to use Easter Bunny for my design for the Paper Ala Mode Challenge at The Outlawz. The patterned oval was created with Monica's Creative Room's Lattice 46. Easter Bunny was colored digitally.
This gorgeous Santa Claws image from Last-Minute Manda is featured in the Kerst Christmas Challenge if you'd like to join in (hurry!). I'm really not sure if they are sloths or racoons - but this time I've gone with sloths colored digitally. I did print three copies and cut layers for dimension. The cactus pattern on the large package is digital paper from The Hungry JPEG. The sentiment is We Are 3.
Well, even though the weather here is gorgeous in the 70s, I decided to play with backgrounds and found it fun to make some Halloweeny backgrounds. The backgrounds were created digitally with Jolee's sentiments. Easy peasy!
I decided to play with some stuff from my stash. The sentiment is available at ClickChicDesign. I changed the color of the sentiment in Gimp. The flowers are from Power Poppy Pure Prairie Bouquet. I used my Eclips to cut the sentiment and flowers.
For today I made a card using We Are 3 papers from the Alcohol Splashes and Mosaic collections, and a sentiment from the You Know set. I really wanted to play with digital paint splatters, but it was difficult because the Alcohol Ink papers are already so beautiful, but this is just another look.
