Deck the Halls with Chalk Collection for Christmas Cards
Hi, Everyone!
So how many of you are working on your Christmas cards? Well, I have 45 done - and still 82 to go. You'd think I'd learn over the years to get these made earlier? OMG! LOL!
So on today's cards, I just grabbed some leftover kits from a class I taught last year....I couldn't remember what the original designs were, but the cut paper and sentiments were perfect for creating quick cards.

Christmas is now around the corner - and Fab 'n' Funky's current challenge is "Things with Wings." So today's make is a Christmas card with a cute little cardinal from Doodle Pantry - sitting in a bunch of Holly from Power Poppy. That makes it 31 down - 96 to go.

Celebrate Thanksgiving with Leftovers
Today is Thanksgiving - and I'm sure a logical blog post would be a Thanksgiving card. However, I'm all about the leftovers! So I hope this card sparks some ideas for using your leftover paper scraps!

We Give Thanks for Friends
Guess what I did last night! I cleaned off my craft desk - I can see the bottom! And I went shopping in my stash and made this pick-up card. What's really fun about using leftovers? As I look at this card, I remember the Christmas cards I made a couple years ago (the ornate border on the left), and the scrapbook classes I taught (the friendship sentiment), and the gorgeous lattice cards I made (the "thinking of you" sentiment), the fun turkey tag I made for SALSA, and many years of friendship I found at the local scrapbook store that recently closed (The polka-dotted paper). A fun little card - low budget by using all scraps that color coordinate.

Create Beautiful Cards with Crafts U Print
Crafts U Print offers us all kinds of beauty and creativity - and their latest freebie is a perfect example! With their Santa Claus freebie, you get the elements for a beautiful decoupage card. With an electronic cutter, these can be cut quickly - and no way would anybody realize you spent very little time on these cards. Let's check out what I did with this file (and only three 8-1/2" x 11" pieces of white cardstock - soak in this beauty!
This first card is their original design.
For the next card, I eliminated Santa and use the elements in the frame.
For the last card, I used paper from my stash and just added leftover elements that I had printed and cut.

Get Ready for Christmas with Paper Studio
We all know our hobby isn't a cheap hobby - that take anything in a store and slap the term "scrapbooking" on it and the price triples. However, I bought and bought and bought while I was working - and now in my retirement, I seldom need anything new other than adhesive. I utilize my scraps the the fullest. This card is made with scraps leftover from a Christmas card class I taught last year - you'll be seeing a lot of this leftover paper as I embark on my nearly 200 Christmas cards full force a week from now.

Grandson's Hour
Need a quick way to add lots of photos to your pages? Take a look at how the Fuse Tool (or Flip Flaps) allow you to add additional photos to your layouts. Also add video - with Stkr.It. What you see here is one layout - a SINGLE-PAGE layout. I essentially added another page of photos by using the Fuse tool to include a flip page.
This first page is the basic layout.
This next photo show two additional half pages I added. Imagine this page cut in half vertically.
Here is a short video showing you the completed project (sans photos, unfortunately)....basically two pages in one. You can see that I included a Stkr.It If scanned, you can see a video of my grandson and me blowing bubbles.
Christmas in Pink
Thank you to all the challenges out there that share their amazing inspiration with us! They inspire me on a daily basis, and I hope this card inspired by the current Outlawz Color Challenge brings a smile to your face today. I expect this will probably be my go-to Christmas card this year - I have lots of fun gold foiled cardstock in my stash, the poinsettias cut easily, and the glitter (which is difficult to see in the photo) and pearls offer such elegance.

Just Hard at Work
Isn't scrappin' grandchildren the most fun? I love it! Truly glorious! I'm especially having a blast scrappin' my youngest grandson because the digi paper selection I picked is so bright and cheerful . . . it's a blast!
I wish I could share photos for my layouts - this layout shows my grandson hard at work. He has claimed their kitchen pantry to be his office - complete with a Leapfrog tablet. He has learned quickly to leave his work in the office - he never takes the tablet out to play with elsewhere. And he only uses his office to "work" on his tablet. Just too precious! But then, we all know how biased I am. At any rate, the layout shows him hard at work in his "office."

Today I'm sharing a card that features Retro Rocket by Dr. Digi.
That retro rocket melts my heart! Doesn't it remind you of great times when you were younger?!?! Using my word-processing program, I added a black frame and sentiment. So fun! To finish I added some stickers in the corner.

Basic Scrapbooking
I've been cleaning out my stash for probably five years now....and it's like a bag of Gordon's Food lettuce - it just keeps getting bigger! So today I decided I'm just picking up scraps on my desk and that'll be it for my next layout...and here they are.
Outlawz and Get Well
I love Ken Oliver's Color Burst - always so very colorful and cheerful. For this card, I was inspired by the current challenge at The Outlawz. I am also working on clearing out my stash - so found this already-painted cardstock and some quilled flowers that were gifted to me. I hope you like it.

Precious Pink
I made extras of the gorgeous Hollyberries digi by Power Poppy. I love the digis Power Poppy makes - amazing! So since I had extras, I made another card for their Think Pink challenge. Also check out the challenge at Doodle Pantry - another of my favorites.
Have to tell you about this great pink Christmas pattern - This paper was the very first paper I purchased when I started scrapbooking about 12 years ago - I LOVE this paper - so can never toss it when I clean out my stash - but obviously, never used it, either. Today I decided to do some cleaning once again - and my cleaning lasted about 12 seconds until I came across these Hollyberries and this winter paper. And THAT'S why I hoard!!!!!

Make a Fun Layout with Spongebob
Today I have a simple layout for Spongebob lovers. While this layout only shows two photo mats, it will actually hold six photos using the Fuse Tool.
While visiting my two-year-old grandson, I learned why I don't frequently get good pictures from his mother - THE KID DOES NOT SIT STILL! So I have hundreds of photos of the back and top of his head. So these six photos are a taste of the many activities he participated in such as eating cookies, organizing his straws, watching cartoons, playing in his "treehouse," and my favorite - hiding in his Thomas the Train tent...pretty much all focusing on the back or top of his head.
