Power Poppy Creative Confetti Challenge

The past couple weeks have gotten a bit away from me....been hooked on making Pumpkin Wreaths...now out of my routine.  Here's my card for the current Power Poppy Creative Confetti Challenge.  I used one of my favorite Power Poppy images - Hollyberries.  Isn't it gorgeous?  I wanted to use scraps for this - and I love using nontraditional colors for holidays.  The sketch had a matted layer on the top half of the circle - which I replaced with my Hollyberries.  My middle border - that small piece - just perfect for this card - has been in my stash for years and years and years....there's always that little satisfaction when you use a really small scrap!  The Hollyberries are colored digitally and cut with my Eclips.  Added a sentiment from the same set and called it done.  Be sure to stop by Power Poppy to see the fab inspiration from the Bloom Brigade - hope you can play along.  

Splitcoast Stampers Featured Stamper Challenge: Dinosaur Friend

Here's a little birthday card inspired by last week's Featured Stamper at Splitcoast.

The one thing I would love to do is watercolor - but I have no patience.  So whenever I download pre-watercolored images that are just as FUN!  You can grab this little guy here.  Thanks ever so much, Creative Fabrica!  He and his friends are just perfect!  So the inspiration card had a squirrel and some leaves.  I changed the leaves to balloons for my dinosaur-loving grandson's birthday.

I used papers from my stash - Pumpkin Delight.  Just a bit of twine and I was good to go.  Behind the dinosaur, I used a pattern from Mermaid Love. 

I fussy cut a second dinosaur and popped him up for a little dimension.

Paper Ala Mode Thinking of You

This week at The Outlawz and Paper Ala Mode Challenge, the challenge is Thinking of Others. I chose two papers from our sponsor We Are 3 - papers from Floral Watercolors and Watercolor Strokes. I combined digitally, and couldn't resist using a digital stencil technique on the Watercolor Strokes. I added a doily from the Floral Doily set. The sentiment is from the Hope set.

Dragonflies in Flight and Seaside Anchor

 I am using the fabulous Dragonflies in Flight by We Are 3.

The layout also features the gorgeous Seaside Anchor.  This anchor is just perfect for any lake or island theme.  

The rest of the embellishments are from my stash.

#SnippySept#4 Border

Been pretty busy here making pumpkin wreaths - they truly are addicting!  But fell behind on some of my favorite challenges and on my scrapbooking.  So here's a layout inspired by a challenge from our local Creative Memories consultants - Snippy Scrappers.  The sweet paper is Little Star.  The "title" is popped up on a "doily."  Easy peasy!  Be sure to visit the We Are 3 Etsy shop to see all the adorable paper collections.

Daydreams at We Are 3

It's a new release at We Are 3.  These alcohol-ink patterns are a personal FAVE of mine - all the magnificence, none of the mess!  I used to enjoy being creative with alcohol inks - now I prefer to let Bonnie be creative, and I just download her beautiful work!  For me, it's all about the digis.  This card is using a pattern from the new Daydreams collection...now available in the Etsy shop. For my three-panel card, I included a sentiment from the Friendship set, framed in a digital from Darcy's Florals - and a little butterfly accent from my stash.

The fab inside sentiment is from Jan's Digis....Signs of Autumn.  I cut around the sentiment using my cutting machine.  I don't generally include inside sentiments - but I think this card needed something. 

  

We Are 3 Gives Helps Me Daydream(s)

I have to say that fantasy-themed cards often gave me chills - but not in the way you might think.  While I admired this style....they often looked complicated to me.  I finally learned the opposite is the case!  They are generally one layer - all you need are some fabulous papers, and some lovely images - and you are finished!  Now I have to admit - most creators of fantasy-themed cards take time to create their own beautiful backgrounds with alcohol inks and/or other media I don't wish to mess with.  Bonnie has solved that problem for me - she messes with it and digitizes it and sends it on to me!  Lucky us who like to avoid the mess!  You can find Bonnie's papers in the We Are 3 Etsy Shop....search for "alcohol," and all her amazing works pop up.  Know what else?  I can resize the image for different effects (can't do that if you're creating your own!)  For this card, the background is from the new Daydreams collection.

We Are 3 Daydreams New Release

It's the last day of summer, and you know that means PUMPKIN EVERYTHING!  Over the weekend I started making pumpkin wreaths galore...fun, fast, and fabulous to share!  Now, I like non-traditional colors - so I decided to use the inspirational new release from We Are 3 to make a "Daydreams" pumpkin.  Kind of love the way it turned out!!!! 

To compliment all the blue, I added accents from the Look Up and Peonies Ballet.

Snippy Scrapper Sketch Challenge

Beginning to hear from our snowbird friends who may be visiting this winter.  Always fun to have visitors and show them around...and Tombstone is always on the list.  Today's layout is inspired by the sketch challenge at Snippy Scrappers.  You know I can't pass up a good sketch challenge!  

I used a combination of a couple different paper collections by We Are 3 - Best of Autumn and Trains.  I used some Trains Frames for embellies.

The "journaling" and "title" were computer generated.  I also used a sentiment from the Travel set.

September Challenge at Snippy Scrappers

WooHoo!  The Snippy Scrappers September Challenge has begun!   

Ahhh....a card to CASE!  I decided to keep the design and see what I could pull out of my stash (as always).  While the fairy godmother turned a pumpkin into a coach - I turned the pumpkins into sunflowers.  All the papers are from my stash - and, of course, I do have a lot of We Are 3 papers in my stash ... so on this card I have some Birthday Party, Autumn Flannel, and Howdy Autumn.

So that's my second project for the challenge (#SnippySept2).  I enjoy a good challenge.

               

Paper Ala Mode Angels Challenge

The designers at Paper Ala Mode brought fab inspiration to this week's challenge - themed Angels. All papers, angel, and sentiments are from our sponsor We Are 3.

The die cut behind the angel is an svg from Monica's Creative Room, welded to a rectangle for the solid bottom.

The angel's wings and halo are glittered, but the photo doesn't really show.  They are actually pretty awesome!  I added some pearls and hearts, and that's about it.

 

Snippy Scappers September Challenge

This layout was inspired by the fun sketch challenge at Snippy Scrappers...flipped vertically.  For my layout, I chose Kawaii Ornament digital papers.  I added embellishments from Miss Kate Cuttables, Graphic 45, and Digital Crea - all from my stash.  The Left border is Fleur de Lis - but don't know where that came from.  

Layout for Creative Confetti

The Creative Confetti challenge this week is a Free for All!  I chose to get caught up on my niece's scrapbook and create a two-page layout - accented with flowers from Power Poppy's Graceful Still Life.

The flowers are colored digitally.  The title is from SVG Cuts, the deer from Star Jam Lines, the papers from Digital Crea, and the banner from We Are 3.  I added sequins for some bling.

Cat Angel for Featured Stamper

For today's card, the cat is from Eureka Stamps (Cat Angel) - the clouds from SVG Cuts (Cloud 9).  Card is inspired by this week's Featured Stamper at Splitcoast - be sure to visit Splitcoast to see the gorgeous projects.

The eClips Users Fall Challenge

The current Eclips challenge is fall - and using files from our sponsors.

Who could resist using the new freebie at Dreaming Tree - Fall Treat Bag.  I used We Are 3 paper from the Howdy Autumn collection.  The leaves were cut from Dreaming Tree's Autumn Leaf Napkin Ring.  The pattern used for the tag is also We Are 3 - Back to Basics.

        

Snippy Scrappers Zoom Crop

Well, I participated in another free Zoom scrapbook session with The Snippy Scrappers from Tucson/Sahuarita - Creative Memories Advisors.  I've enjoyed their layout ideas the past few (pandemic) months, but I couldn't let the day go by without sharing I think my favorite layout shared so far.  It's a simple layout - just the triangular border along the side - but it's just enough to give some color and leaves just enough room for some fun embellishments. 

They also shared another simple layout - on this one, I really like the folded corners for color - but especially like how I'm able to tuck my photos into the corners...thinking I won't even add any additional elements.

The "memories" title and the pool floats are from Miss Kate Cuttables - I popped these layers to jazz it up a bit.

Power Poppy Creative Confetti Challenge

I love floral images - both coloring them and paper piecing them.  While I love a beautiful bouquet or vase of flowers, I prefer sets with single flowers from various views and stages of growth - I love to layer and create my own dimensional arrangement.  These are very hard to find in digital format, however.  Here I colored and cut flowers from two sets - Pretty Petals (Miss Daisy) and Carnation Flower (Digital Pixel).

This card is inspired by this week's Creative Confetti Challenge - Tic Tac Toe.  I selected the bottom row - Emboss, Sparkle, and Twine.  I added a twine bow and some Stickles highlights to some of the flower centers - both for texture.  The top and bottom of the card front is embossed with a musical note folder - you can see this better in the close-up below.

The patterned paper comes from We Are 3's Fairy Holiday.  I added a sentiment from my We Are 3 stash.  So off you go to the Power Poppy blog to see what wonderful cards others are making.

Here is this month's two-page layout sketch at Stick It Down.  Oooh, fun!  I grabbed one of my favorite paper collections and went to work. 

Couldn't resist flipping the sketch - both vertically and horizontally.  The paper is from the We Are 3's Little Star collection - including all the cut-out stars.  The title is popped up for some dimension.
