Holiday Card

Hellos, All!

Today marks another day of making holiday cards. For this card, I wanted to use non-traditional colors using the free digi Angel Wings from Carina's Freebiesida. I love angels as a holiday image. I finished off the card with snowflakes . . . also in non-traditional colors.

Entering this card in Challenge #88 at Crafting from the Heart.

DCWV Dimensional Scrapbook Layout

Two of my favorite things are papercrafting and papercrafting challenges.  Today, I'm sharing a layout that I made for a challenge I found a few days ago - problem?  I can't remember what challenge!  Oh, well.  The challenge was Scrapbook Bingo.  The line I chose called for using a punch, buttons, flowers, and two alphas (I assumed this meant at least two letters).
To create the flower centers, I started by wrapping buttons in two-sided adhesive, then covered with gold glitter.  The color combinations from this Rustic paper pack from DCWV are so much fun!

I decided to add extra dimension to the page by adding a strip of ruffled crepe paper.  The title comes from Cloud Nine.  For the punch element, I used a border from EK Success.

Can it be so?  Christmas is really near?  Less than a month? How is your Christmas cardmaking going?  Here are three of several I made today.

Die Cuts, Rub Ons, Stickers, and More

If you're like me, you've probably got a lot of die cuts, rub ons, stickers that you've never used on your scrapbook pages.

Well today, I dug into my stash and pulled out some random bits that gave my page a bit more of an eclectic look that normal.

Choo Choo Grandson

Today I am sharing a layout using papers that I think complement each other perfectly:  American Crafts, Doodlebug, Scrapbook Customs, and Tim Holtz.
My inspiration for today's layout is from an old Hero Arts catalog (2005).

Thanks for joining me today.  I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend - and find some time to make your holiday crafts!

Sympathy Cards

How about this sketch challenge (#424) from Mojo Monday.  I love this simple layout.  It is perfect for mass producing - yet allowing each card to have its own look.

This next card is the same layout - turned sideways.

And one more take on the sketch.

Christmas Cards

Everywhere you look these days, people are talking about "chalkboard."  It's a style that takes us back to the good old days.  I'm not really a fan of this craze - I prefer clear crisp color.  However, in prepping for a class today, I found that Hobby Lobby replaced their crisp black Christmas stack with a chalkboard style.  Perfect!  If you like chalkboard.  So these are the cards I made along with the class - Christmas chalkboard style.

Sympathy Cards

For the next few days, I will be sharing sympathy cards, as I need to replenish my inventory.

A Great Start to the Day - Cowboys

Good Morning, Everyone!

Our cool days are coming to a close.  Beautiful 70s are coming back today . . . after two evenings of near freezing, I feared I would never see 70s again.

I'm continuing on my western order - so today's focus is a silhouette cowboy from an svg set called Western Ranch.

Great Challenge from Craft-Dee BowZ and Happy Little Stampers

Today's creation is a 2-1/4" x 4-1/4" 3D Christmas tag (doubles as a gift box) - with a handmade bow for Craft-Dee BowZ's November challenge - Anything with a Handmade Bow!  Am also entering the tag into Happy Little Stampers Christmas Tag Challenge

Despite Rough Waters . . .

Hello!!

Today I have a simple nautical-themed card using the amazing sailboat from Miss Kate Cuttables . . . so cool!

Family Fun

303Hello!  Today I have a layout to share that I created using Sketch #303 from Scrapbook Challenges.  I mixed things up a little using arrows rather than tags.  Some ruffled crepe I bought years ago was perfect and, I think, adds to the vintage feel I want.  I accented with some leftover images from Graphic 45's A Place in Time.
I just love sketch challenges to help me scrap . . . these layouts are perfect for all sorts of themes.

Have a lovely day.

Stay Anchored

This brilliant journal card by DCWV is elegantly beautiful!  I used the Hey Sailor stack to make this clean and simple card.  Wow, Wow!

Two-Step into Creativity

I have another fun western card to share today.  Terri Gibson, in an old The Stampers Sampler (June/July 2000), shares the most incredible western card.  If you do a Google search for "denim pocket cards," you'll find brilliant pocket papercrafting ideas.  I am so inspired by all these cards!

These are also perfect card for today's challenge at Cards in Envy - the theme being "Put Some Extra Layers On."  Layer up your card and join the fun!

Blogaversary with Get Creative Challenges

Today, Get Creative Challenges is celebrating their first Blogaversary!  So many incredible ideas and projects over the past year.  Enjoy birthday ideas on the blog today!

We have two sponsors today - Limited R
uns Stamps and Angies Cards and Digis.

First, I am using this incredible digital image from Limited Run.  I love cupcakes - these Snowie Cupcakes from Limited Runs are simply amazing!  The cupcake sentiments are from Scrap-n-Font.
When selecting a second image for the Blogaversary, this image from Angie's Cards & Digis (Little Lila Drinking Cocoa) reminded me of sweet birthdays.  This image is perfect for Christmas as well.  I used Adobe Photoshop on this first image.

Now I have one more card using Little Lila Drinking Cocoa.  This is my first attempt using polychromous pencils.  While I'm not thrilled with my completed image, I am thrilled that at least my first attempt is presentable - which I can't say using Copic marker, inks, and watercolor pencils.

Be sure to join us in the birthday fun by linking your birthday card - there's prizes!

Western Boot Card

Thanks for joining me today, Scrappers!  What a great weekend - I got so much crafting done!  These cards are inspired by Can You Case It's Color Challenge #95.

Time for Smooth Sailing

Welcome to another nautical-themed card - a "thinking of you" card for my sister's friend with cancer. The inspiration for this card was Feeling Sketchy's Sketch #133.

I am often so busy, I never seem to have time to put this much detail into a card.  Today everything fell into place -don't you love when that happens?  I needed a card with a nautical wheel (by request) with the Upper Peninsula of Michigan (by request - shown on 3rd tag).  This sketch is PERFECT!!!!  Thank you Feeling Sketchy!!!!

Stay Neebish Strong

The Rustic Pack from DCWV is packed with beautiful, rich colors.  This card is a card for a sick friend of my sister's - living on Neebish Island, Michigan.  These colors work nicely for a masculine card, yet with a soft, earthy feel.

Cowgirls are Here

I love the feel of a comfortable pair of cowboy boots - okay, my preference really is a pair of flip flops.  I do like the look of boots with almost anything.  Today's first card takes two beautiful ideas - cowgirl boots and a simple sketch challenge (#2-74) from Sweet Sketch Wednesday . . . this card is perfect for someone with girlie western dreams!

I'm also working on cards with a similar theme - as you know, when I print/cut an image, I do several at a time.
