I used the Wednesday Sketch Challenge to create a layout...I really couldn't resist, since I have a recent adorable photo of my grandson celebrating New Year's Eve. I was inspired by the simplicity of the sketch. The papers are We Are 3 - Little Star.
For the next couple weeks at Paper Ala Mode, our challenge is to use papers or a theme from 2020. I'm showcasing Pastel Angels, and I've used the adorable Angel.
I'm thrilled to be showcasing Sky Scenes. I added to the scene with some Power Poppy Black-Eyed Susans.
I'm in love with Sky Scenes...Beautiful! This card almost made itself. The sentiment is from the Autumn set....all I added were a simple flourish. I'm pretty tickled with how this turned out.
Today I'm using the irresistible Pastel Splatters from We Are 3. I created a simple card with flowers using the denim paper from the Howdy collection - also from We Are 3. The leaves and sentiment are from my stash.

I have a great time playing in the Eclips Users challenges. With my winnings from the last challenge, I purchased Desktop Cornhole Game from Simply Crafty SVGS. I'll be making several of these for Valentine treats for the grands and neighbor kids. For one grandson, I made a Zombie-themed set. The background paper is We Are 3's Painted Strokes and the hand is digitally paper pieced using - get this! Birthday Bouquet! I don't think Bonnie, the designer, had that in mind when she created this collection! LOL!
The adorable dinosaurs in the set for my other grandson are Watercolor Dinosaurs (Creative Fabrica). I printed two different dinosaurs on top of the background they provided with a palm tree from the same set.
Had a bit of a time deciding what I wanted to do for the other Valentine treats, so I decided just using traditional Valentine color schemes is my best shot.
Another fun Featured Stamper at Splitcoast. We all know we have card style preferences - but I was a little taken aback when I saw that I chose a card from this week's Featured Stamper that is almost identical to one I chose two weeks ago. I sure admire both of these, though. It should be no surprise that my background is digital paper and not inked by me. I used Under the Sea from We are 3, a 5-Petal Flower from my stash, and a sentiment from Creative Fabrica. Under the Sea is one of my very favorite We Are 3 papers. There is a lot of fabulous work at Splitcoast, so I hope you visit the Featured Stamper for a little inspiration and come join us this week. It's always really fun.
I'm gearing up for Halloween - well, when I looked at myt scraps of Painted Strokes, I just thought a small Halloween treat would be perfect. This small treat carrier uses a piece of paper only 4-1/4" x 2-1/4" - and a simple embellishment. Great use of scraps and stash!
I'm on a roll after some time with no mojo. This is the second card I made using We Are 3's Painted Strokes.
I was really excited about this card because it came together just as I had envisioned.I added some leaf branches to the already beautiful Painted Strokes. The flower is also cut from Painted Strokes. Added some leaves from my stash, and I was finished! Woo Hoo!

I have been having fun designing for the Outlawz Paper Ala Mode challenges for years now. There's a new challenge every other week. The current challenge is a flashback - use a theme or product used in any 2020 challenge...I went with the Give Thanks theme, using Pumpkin Delight and Strawberry Jam papers.

I'm featuring the free April Showers collection from the fabulous Free Digital Scrapbooking - also featuring adorable pandas from Kadoodle Bug. The heart is a Digi Crea printable from the Positive Vibes set. The journaling is a sentiment from We Are 3's Thoughtfulness set. The title is computer generated. I digitally painted some white splotches behind the pandas to make them stand out a little. If you look VERY carefully, I embellished with clear glittery sequins - but they didn't photograph well.
The new release at We Are 3 is a special one. Miracles Happen was created to bring awareness to Turner Syndrome. The image I chose for this card is We Are 3's Honey Bunny (retired). I popped the bunny up in a cut-out oval frame. The bunny is colored digitally.
This month's double-page challenge at Stick It Down. Ooh, how fun! I had lots of choices for a title, but finally decided on Miss Kate Cuttables' Fall Words. I love how Creative Memories' kits include so many coordinated embellishments - so easy to quickly style your layouts. The papers are from the Spring Medley and Berry Good kits. I added a border from My Scrap Chick and called it done.

Oh, WOW! Missed the deadline for the December sketch (I was secretly hoping I'd get more Christmas photos). Well, time is gone, but I finally completed the layout. The papers are from the April Showers collection from Free Digital Scrapbooking. I did add a little Christmas color behind some of the photos - gingham paper I recolored from the Doodle Pantry 50's Diner collection. I cut and glittered snowflakes. the "first" from the title is from Love SVG. The title is assembled with a combination of SVG and digital. Woo Hoo! It's finished!
