I sure am having fun decorating these gift bags. Today I used some decoupage flowers that were gifted to me years ago...and I just couldn't help but add a little butterfly.

Power Poppy Creative Confetti Challenge
It's the last challenge for May for Creative Confetti at Power Poppy. What's the challenge? Sketch. Here is Irresistible Peonies, ready for the picking for Mom. The flowers were cut with my Eclips. The flowers are digitally colored, and the background is embossed with a musical background (oops - embossed sideways)
The "Mother" tab is from a scrapbook kit gifted to me years ago. Trust me, for years I couldn't figure how to use that kit - suddenly all these odd pieces are being put to good use. Woohoo! And that's why I seldom throw anything away - LOL! Now go have a look at all the other entries, and join us for a chance to win a $25 gift card to Power Poppy.
Indian Tribe
For today's gift bag, I cut a label from Label Set 3 by Bird and added some "rhinestones" for borders. The top label is made from Canvas and Watercolor - makes for a great sky background. I used Indian Tribe (My Clipart Store) with Print 2 Cut.

Valentine Gift Bag
Don't you love having a stash of beautiful gift bags when you need one? Well, my go-to gift lately has been the gift of gift bags. For this bag, I used patterned paper to make a bag collar, and added a Valentine image matted with circles. I love how cute it looks. Then just some ribbon and we have a pretty little package.

Thinking of You Gift Bag
Lately for me it's been all about gift bags. Since I came across my stash of decoupage flowers, I can't wait to roll out gift bag after gift bag. The cool thing about these bags is it takes so little to make an elegant gift bag.

She's kind of a big deal
There are some of the coolest ideas for decorating gift bags on Pinterest, and I couldn't wait to try this adorable princess bag - well, on Pinterest, the inspiration were princess bags for girls' birthday parties. But I didn't have any princess images - only this fashion clipart. Tell me this isn't the cutest idea!
Okay, maybe it's truly hokey, but I couldn't resist.

Around the World at Paper Ala Mode
When Darcy asked us to use Around the World for our theme this week for the Paper Ala Mode Challenge, and I found this Cocktail image from our sponsor, Sheepski Designs, I immediately thought of one of my favorite phrases when I was younger and wanted to start drinking in the morning - IT'S 5 O'CLOCK SOMEWHERE! Around here, the heat is setting in, so there's plenty of reasons for having a cool beverage. I used a die cut from Treat Bag Topper from Dreaming Tree for my background. The papers are just scraps.
Be sure to visit Sheepski Designs to see all of the great digital stamps they have to offer - click HERE for your browsing pleasure. You're also in for a treat at the Paper Ala Mode Challenge. The Design Team came up with all sorts of different ways to celebrate Around the World. If you play along, you just may be the winner of some digital stamps from Sheepski Designs.

Home Family Blessing
Just look at this simple decorated bag! I've been dying to go through my stash and actually USE items, rather than tossing. Here I'm using a sentiment I used in a class that I taught years ago....and a flower that was gifted to me....also years ago. I've been on a bit of a gift bag kick lately, but I'm telling you....if you want to get rid of stash, gift bags is a great way to go!

True Friends Gift Bag
I love decorating gift bags and decided they themselves make great gifts. I cut the background shapes. To add dimension, I used a decoupage floral arrangement I received from a former neighbor. I think they look pretty.

Since 2001? Whew! Featured Stamper Challenge
Well, actually this is a special gift - but still a secret. Featured Stamper is one of my fave challenges at Splitcoast Stampers. This gift bag design was inspired by Featured Stamper #639 - I used her basic design. I chose a floral digital paper pattern for my design. I used Kadoodle Bug's A Special Gift title for the sentiment.

Let's party with a gift bag!
Today I chose a patterned gift bag, then added a label and decoupage flowers. Simple! I have had these decoupage flowers in my stash for years - think I finally found a great use for them. So fun and easy peasy! Love the look of this gift bag.

A Simple, Quick Card
The dinosaurs in Creative Fabrica's Watercolor Dinosaurs are just too cute. I used paper from the new Moon Desert collection (We Are 3) for the background, and the sentiment is from the new Eyes collection. How simple is this?
I used a google eye from my stash - perfect for this month's Crash Your Stash challenge at The Outlawz - Google Eyes.

The Stick It Down Sketch Challenge
I'm frantically trying to get caught up on my scrapbooking after taking a siesta. Stick It Down's challenges have been inspiring me to get at least a couple pages finished monthly. This is my layout for May's single-page sketch. I turned the sketch upside down. For the scalloped borders, I made a border of vintage travel stickers to go with the festival celebrating 135 years of the first steam train pulled into Tucson. I replaced the banner with a nice Arizona-themed border title. That's what's so wonderful about using sketches - the gratification of having a design to work with, but making it your own. My papers are from the Look Up collection from We Are 3.
My journaling looks crooked! It is not on my original (thank goodness!)
There's still time to join in the challenge!
Valentine Derek
The Outlawz has a new Progressive Freebie! Doesn't Valentine Derek from Dr. Digi just melt your heart?

Stick.It.Down! Sketch Challenge
It's a new double-page sketch challenge at Stick It Down. For my layout, I used photos from a trip to Santa Fe, New Mexico.
All my papers are from the Look Up collection from We Are 3. I'm playing catch up from a big project, so I used dollar store stickers for some simple embellishments. So now it's time for you to get your scrapbooking on - come play along.
Durango-Silverton - Revisited
Well, how about this! I'm kind of excited because the train featured in We Are 3's new Just a Song paper collection is taken from one of my vacation photos taken during an anniversary trip on the Durango-Silverton excursion. Since I love the train against the musical notes, I wanted to make a simple card. When I was finished, my eyes were drawn toward the sentiment, rather than the train, so I added a railroad-crossing sign to draw your eyes back up to the train. I collect all sorts of fun railroad embellishments for my travel pages, so I thought I should just dip into my stash.
Be sure to check out the Facebook Page to see what other Design Team Members did with the train.

This unique paper pattern is from one of the fabulous May releases at We Are 3 - Moon Desert. I really love that Bonnie took one of my vacation photos and edited it to make a unique digital paper. Pansies
Hey, guys! Just wanted to let you know that there's another fun Creative Confetti Challenge at The Power Poppy. This is a technique I wanted to duplicate digitally. After seeing how Laura took the resist embossing technique to a new level by melting the embossed area right off the paper, I had an aha! moment. Often when I'm coloring an image digitally, I've removed the black outlines of the stamp and ended up with a very similar effect. I always kind of liked it....yet, I never used it because I thought others wouldn't understand. LOL! So today I purposely went for that effect - here's my finished product using Power Poppy's Pansies digital image.
I'm still working on my gift of gift bags (nine more to go!) Here's is today bag using the Pansy image.

We Are 3 Gift Bag with Dandelion Wishes and Periwinkle Minty
I so love decorated gift bags, and they have become my go-to gift. A friend is turning 40, and it's my goal to decorate 40 gift bags to give to her as a gift. Today I checked my stash and found these papers from We Are 3's Dandelion Wishes and Periwinkle Minty collections. For dimension, I popped up both the label behind my image and the image. I used a border from Tags Borders Corners (Miss Kate Cuttables).

Live Laugh Love

Snow Friends
My card today at We Are 3 is all about the new collection Moon Desert - or is it? Living in Arizona, I was excited about a desert-themed collection. Yet when I looked at this paper, I couldn't get visions of Michigan cold, dreary winter days out of my head. LOL! So I built some snowmen and added a holiday sentiment. All in all, I'm pleased with the final results, even though my snowmen don't look all that happy. LOL!
Now hurry on over to We Are 3's Facebook Page to see great inspiration from the other Design Team members.

Moon Desert - Rocket Ship
For today's project, I created a candle gift box. I used Moon Desert for the candle, and added Rocket Ship for embellishment. Be sure to stop by We Are 3's Etsy shop to see the entire May release.

Moon Desert and We Are 3
This collection is called Moon Desert. Too cute for boy's projects - especially with the Rocket Ship. I used the pre-colored Rocket Ship. The sentiment is computer generated and printed on top of the Moon Surface pattern. I finished it off with Earth and some planets.
