Paper Ala Mode - Outside Looking In

Today I used the lovely Window View and Window Layers for Paper Ala Mode at The Outlawz.  I used paper from the Happy Birthday collection for the background.  The sentiment is from the Anniversary collection.

The challenge is "Outside Looking In."  It runs through March 12, so I hope to see  you there.

We Are 3's View

There's a new release at We Are 3, and it's a must have!  View for slim-line cards is one of my faves.  I added several Camille's Cactus and Camille's Cactus Flower - reminiscent of our mountains in the Southwest.

Kinda love how this turned out.

Featured Stamper - Bokeh Blends

There's a new Featured Stamper challenge at Splitcoast.  The featured stamper has a fabulous assortment of adorable card to CASE.  That beautiful sky is Bokeh Blends (We Are 3).  The image is Bethlehem Silhouette.

Be sure to stop by the We Are 3 Facebook page to see what else the design team has used with Bokeh Blends....so Cute!

We Are 3 Release - Bokeh Blends

We Are 3 has a beautiful new release - Bokeh Blends.  I was excited to see this collection because I have attempted the Bokeh effect without much luck - and now I'm all about nothing messy!  LOL!  I was not prepared for what I experienced after printing this paper and attempting to design a beautiful card.  The paper is SO BEAUTIFUL, I didn't want to put anything on top of it!  I tried lots of embellishments and designs and there was nothing I had that was worthy of this beautiful paper!  I am pretty sure Bonnie would think I was nuts to post a plain card with just the background Bokeh paper!  LOL!

Years ago a neighbor gave me a scrapbook kit that contains some dimensional flowers - and while they are pretty, they really weren't my style.  In a desperate attempt to make something with this beautiful background, I pulled out that kit and right on top was this beautiful dimensional flower - tada!

I really want a shirt with fabric this beautiful.  I want this pattern on the walls in my craft room!  I truly believe this might be the most beautiful paper I've ever seen....great job, Bonnie!!!  Sadly, you're probably too busy to come out to Arizona to Bokeh my walls, huh?

SG Scrap Squad Challenge #5

One of the virtual crop challenges at SG Scrap Squad is a vertical heart border.  An easy one!  I like a torn look - but my tearing generally isn't too impressive, and even using my deckle blade, I never seem to get a look I want.  I found some deckle svg files in my stash and used that for the first time.  I like the look I ended up with.  I wanted some colorful hearts, so used Assorted Hearts from Miss Kate Cuttables for my border, digitally filled with the distressed papers I'm using throughout this album.

The title I added is computer generated.

Hearts Emphasis

Today is the sixth day of the SG Scrap Squad's Heart Emphasis Virtual Crop - a three-week long set of challenges using hearts.  I've been lurking this site for a while now - thought I would finally become a participant.  This challenge is to create a layout with a tag(s) embellished with hearts.

Sunflower from Craft with Sarah

I love making layered mandalas because they are so simple and it's getting to be there are patterns for everything you can think of...some nicer than others, of course.  One of my scrappin' acquaintances asked that I make a sunflower for her daughter.  I was excited to do so...not as excited with the results, but it was certainly fun making!  I used a variety of papers from my digital stash.  Hah, I even pulled out some ink to distress the center for this one!  Easy peasy and lots of fun!

Creative Memories Virtual Crop

For this layout I used Spring Medley and some embellishments from Berry Good.  The Creative Memories embellishments are amazing.  The more I play with them, the more fun ways I find to use them.

Stick It Down Sketch Challenge

Well, I finally found some time to play with Stick It Down this month.  I used Free Digital Scrapbooking's April Showers.  The embellishments are pandas from Kadoodle Bug - the tooth is just clipart.  The titles are computer generated.  I had a ball this weekend scrapbooking, inspired by a virtual crop - I'm in my happy place when I'm scrapbooking!

Creative Memories Virtual Crop

Happy Tuesday!  Hope you are having a fabulous week.  Today's layout was created using a sketch from last week's Creative Memories Virtual Crop using Spring Medley from Creative Memories.  I also showcasing some embellishments from a Polar Express it I bought years ago.  This was such a wonderful day!

Creative Memories Virtual Crop Sketch Challenge 2

It's Virtual Crop Weekend at Creative Memories with lots of inspiration with sketch challenges.  Always a fun weekend.  No prizes for me as I did not use Creative Memories papers - for this layout I used the Kawaii Ornament Digi Kit from Little Scraps of Heaven. I cut the heart and title on my Eclips.  I used Print2Cut for the Christmas embellishments.  Instant Christmas!  Just about all the embellishments came from my stash.  Woohoo - would love to see that stash disappear!  Be sure to visit the Creative Memories Virtual Crop Facebook page to see what everyone has made to inspire you and join in the fun tomorrow and Sunday for more fun.

I'm also entering this in the Eclips Users Group Anything Goes Challenge.

Sweetness and Floral Blooms

I'm continuing my play with papers from the Sweetness collection.  My card was Pinterest inspired.

The Floral Bloom is colored digitally.  The gingham background paper is from the Sweetness collection from We Are 3.  Thought this would be a good card to let someone know you are thinking of them.

Showcasing Sweetness for We Are 3

Here's a simple card using paper from We Are 3's Sweetness collection.  I think this gingham paper looks just like seersucker - taking me back to another place - another life.  LOL!  The fabulous sentiment is from the We Are 3 Hugs set, and I printed it with Tulip Owl  from 2 Cute Ink.

Freebie Progressive Piggy Back

Here's my entry for the Outlawz Freebie Progressive Challenge.  Isn't she just the cutests?  I made a birthday card for my daughter who has a beloved bear backpack.  I used papers from the Sweetness collection.

I colored he digitally, used Print2Cut, and popped to give her more dimension.  I added some embossed hearts behind her.  Finished it off with a Happy Birthday sentiment.

I think she turned out cute, don't you?

Scrapbook Generation Virtual Crop Challenge

I finally found some time to play in the many challenges at Scrapbook Generation.  Today I bring you a layout for one of their sketch challenges.  I think the fabulous photos of my niece (which, unfortunately I cannot share) are just perfect for this layout.  The April Showers digi papers are from Free Scrapbooking.

The title is Print 2 Cut and popped up with foam adhesive.

To alter the design, I used two photos rather than four.  I created a decorative border using elements from Design Bundle to replace stitching.

Sketch Challenge at Scrapbook Generation

It a Virtual Crop Challenge at Scrapbook Generation.  Lots of opportunity on this layout to use the fab pandas Kadoodle Bug is known for.  I flipped this sketch horizontally.  I had a little time, so cut out several baby phrases to use.  The papers are from Free Scrapbooking, and the "journaling" just happened to be in my stash from Love SVG.  Because this design fill the page with photos - easy peasy!  I just love al lthe sketches at Scrapbook Generation.

Showcasing Santa with Creative Memories

I was excited to get back to some scrapbooking after taking a holiday break - and playing with Creative Memories papers with fab embellishments thrown in for good measure (although this layout doesn't use any of the embellishments - just finering through them gives me so much inspiration.)

I really had a ball with this layout.  The photos are of Santa in our house using a Santa cam app.

For the papers, I used Spring Medley and Berry Good.  I was inspired by a layout in an old PaperKuts magazine.  The title is computer generated.  Found some elements I swiped from old Christmas cards for the embellishments.  Came out great (although my photos don't always do my layouts justice).  Added the Magical from Miss Kate Cuttables (Magical Word Set).  Be sure to check out Creative Memories for digital scrapbook kits that inspire quick and easy layouts.

Little Scraps of Heaven Kawaii Ornament

The Twisted Thursday Challenge this week at The Outlawz is Stitching.  I had good intents of adding faux stitching to this layout....but before I did, it just looked complete to me.  I used paper from Kawaii Ornament Digi Kit, Little Scraps of Heaven, to make a fairly clean and simple layout.  Not a whole lot of color here.  The titles and journaling were computer generated.  Kind of different for me, but it was fun.  Although I had nothing to share for the Twisted Thursday challenge, I appreciate their fabulous inspiration.

Lori Kobular's Turner Syndrome Awareness Blog Hop

Oh, wow!  I had not heard of Turner Syndrome until this awareness blog hop - I guess blog hops can be used to share pertinent information!  I had so many ideas for using the items Bonnie created for this worthwhile event.  I finally decided to add Stardust Bear - fitting to use to comfort young girls.  The papers, sentiment, and butterfly also come from We Are 3.  I used a small print of the butterfly design to digitally paper-piece the Butterfly of Hope.  The tab and flowers come from my stash.  The sentiment is printed on a tag, along with small stars - the tag and stars are from Monica's Creative Room.
