Hey Sailor and Mojo Monday

I hope you are having a wonderful week and creating beautiful things. Today's share is inspired by Mojo Monday #486...using Table Scraps. I've had this nautical paper pack for years - this sketch was perfect for letting me take advantage of its beautiful designs.

Creativity with the Featured Stamper

How is  your day going?  I've been under the weather - I know I'm sick when I don't even want to craft - and worse yet - don't miss it!!!!  But this evening, I'm feeling a bit better - can hold my head up.  So do I ease back into it and create something clean and simple?  Oh, no - I choose a bendi card to CASE from the Featured Stamper at Splitcoast.  I thought I was cheating and bought an .svg file - but it was not a good file to choose!!!  That's what I get for being cheap and buying the $1 file instead of the $3 file...LOL!  However, in my frustration - I did finally figure out how to use the crop tool on my eCal.  So all is good and I'm happy with my finished project - and I'm still vertical!

Awesome Table Scraps: Fairy

One of my favorite parts of using Table Scraps is finding old items that are new once again - and my latest scrummage did not disappoint!  Today I'm sharing a card using a fairy by the fabulous Amy Brown.

Family Layout Using Father's Day Fun and Keep It Reel

If you follow my blog, you know that I'm working on four family scrapbooks for my in-laws.  So I use the same sets of photos four times - each layout different to conquer boredom.  Have to admit, I hate it when I get it RIGHT on the 4th layout!  LOL!  But these fish embellishments I found this weekend are so perfect for photos of my one brother-in-law - and this is one layout I truly enjoyed.  I so want to make a whole fish scrapbook for someone now  My grandchildren don't fish (or should I say their fathers don't fish) - wonder if anyone would notice if I just did every layout for their books with a fishing pole in the kids' hands and a fish or two on the hook for every page.  LOL!

Mystery Item: Coffee Cup Sleeve

The Mystery Item we received this month from S.A.L.S.A. (local papercrafting group) was a coffee-cup sleeve - I thought it would be fun to make a pirate ship using the sleeve.

Featured Stamper and St. Patrick's Day Card

Table Scraps!! A few gems scattered around give this card just a bit of sparkle. I found an old glittered foam shamrock that suited this card perfectly. This card is inspired by a beautiful card from this week's Featured Stamper at Splitcoast Stampers. Thanks to Beverly for her great ideas.

Hiding in My Craftroom Challenge #289: Embossing

Hiding in My Craft Room's Challenge #289 is ideal for using up some Table Scraps and creating simple cards.  My simple card is hopeful and sure to let someone know they are in your thoughts.  The Challenge is embossing - the bottom of my card is Tim Holtz Embossed Idea-ology cardstock - then watercolored on top.

Mojo Monday Sketch

My inspiration today came from Mojo Monday Sketch #485.

Watercolor and Delicate Daisies

What is your favorite watercolor technique?  I do enjoy making watercolored cards - from time to time I like to play with Colorburst.  HOWEVER, the easiest way to make gorgeous watercolored cards is with digital watercolor papers!  No fuss, no muss!  For this card, I'm using the Watercolor digital collection by We Are 3.

Spreading Love with Family Scrapbooks

Over a year ago, my husband and I "inherited" boxes of old family photos.  My in-laws expected me to scan and share all the photos...of course, my mind immediately thought scrapbooks for each family!  These albums are slow moving - so far my in-laws haven't asked whatever happened to those photos  but I can't wait to finish and showcase them at a family gathering!  Here is the latest layout.
The layout is inspired by the current challenge at Scrap Our Stash.

Twisted Thursday at Outlawz Challenges

This week I have the pleasure of being Guest Designer for The Outlawz Challenges Twisted Thursday, with Bugaboo as sponsor, and a theme of "Something Old, Something Blue - Wedding/Anniversary."  All you have to do to join us link up your card here at Outlawz Challenges!  Join in the fun!

Now, I will admit - this was a tough challenge for me!  Something Old, Something Blue - I am all in for a frilly, traditional wedding card in pale blue!  Bugaboo is one of my favorite companies for digital images!  However, the images I had to choose from - well, let's just say nothing I would use for a traditional wedding card...lol!  So here is what I came up with.

First, a little more contemporary wedding card using Bugaboo's image Scene It - Ladybug.

For my second card, I decided to have some fun with Stella Calendar Months - February - and I added Gus Tidbits - Marriages.  I can see my hubby and me in this position some day!  I am proud - I certainly did touch on Something Old here, as well as Something Blue and Anniversary.

Watercolor Chic

Sharing a VERY quick card made from table scraps using the gorgeous Nature Blends from We Are 3 and Dogwood Branch from Pattie's Creations.
TIP:  For some quick and easy - not to mention beautiful - flowers, print your digital images on a watercolor background (either digital or actually watercolored).  The randomness of the colors on digital images is one of my all-time fave looks.  I will print a full sheet of flowers on a watercolored background - different sizes - and cut on your electronic cutter.  Print another sheet of just watercolored background - later you have everything you need for a one-minute card when needed.

Unicorns and Strawberries

I created another birthday card using papers and a digi from We Are 3 - Cupcake Toppers, Cupcake Wrappers, and Ursula Unicorn.  I cut a Decorative Square (Images by Heather) on a piece of Strawberries.  To finish it off, I added Ursula Unicorn, some flourish, and a few strawberries to add some interest to my card.
Need some pretty papers in a hurry?  Then digital is the way to go!

Layout Inspiration with Scrap Our Stash

Hi, Everyone!

Today I am sharing with you a layout inspired by the current challenge at Scrap Our Stash.  Today I am sharing a page that shows one of my grandson's favorite activities - sleeping! (You have to use your imagination as I'm not allowed to share photos of my grandkids.)  Scrap Our Stash has a great Bingo Challenge going on.  The diagonal line I chose is The Color Red (the die-cut background), Hearts, and Mixed Alpha Title (which worked out great since I didn't have enough letters of one kind to make the title).

Cheers - It's a Cupcake Birthday

For today's share, I am using papers and a digi from We Are 3 - Cupcake Toppers, Cupcake Wrappers, and Ursula Unicorn.  For the frame, I used Decorative Square (Images by Heather).  I colored, printed and cut two copies of Ursula - and layered Ursula on top of the cupcake wrapper.  Then I stacked the frame and Ursula - along with some strawberries from Cupcake Toppers - and popped them up on the card front using foam tape.
Need some pretty papers in a hurry?  Then digital is the way to go!
