Splatters with We Are 3

This card is simple.  I cut a vase from Splatters, added some flowers, and popped it on top of another pattern from the Splatters collection...completed with a sentiment from the White on Black set.

We Are 3 April Showers

Some friends are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary and asked that friend create ATCs to help them celebrate.  For the first ATC I created, I created layers using April Showers.  Because of the size of ATCs, I didn't think I would get totally clean cuts for all the lacy layers I wanted to use.  So instead I alternated the pink pattern and white cardstock.   

Beautiful it is.  For fun, I also created a lovey-dovey ATC.

I also wanted to include an ATC that cracked me up, so I thought Stella and Gus would be great reminders of what 50 years really look like!  Since our acquaintances were rekindled when we met a second time through our husbands' ammeter  radio club, I used a little bit of a radio theme.  I couldn't resist using a sentiment with radio abbreviations - the meaning is 

Ex Young Lady (Wife) and Old Man (Husband)

for 50 Years!

Stella and Gus were so much fun to create, and I can't stop giggling about that card.  You can always count on Stella and Gus to inspire humor (as lame as it might be).  I hope you got a kick out of them.

New Featured Stamper Challenge #742

Featured Stamper Challenge #742 at Splitcoast Stampers is now live.  It runs through Saturday, so there's plenty of time to play.

This inspiration came from the Featured Stamper, Martina.  I chose one of the digi papers from Splatters collection (a total must have).  

I like the masculine look of the design, so chose a sentiment from the Masculine set - this really fit the bill.  Cut and matted with a tag from My Scrap Chick's 6 Trendy Tags.

New Challenge at Paper Ala Mode

Today's Paper Ala Mode Challenge featured We Are 3's Shirley's Roses - a digital paper collection that's hard to resist.  I used Shirley's Roses for the two base layers of the card cut in a tag shape from My Scrap Chick.  

New Festive Friday Challenge

Yes - yet another scrapbook page from me.  Yeah, I know....doesn't she ever get tired of scrapbooking?  Well, as long as I have great subjects - probably not.  The Outlawz Festive Friday Challenge this week includes Congratulations, so I just had to scrapbook my grandson's Karate Belt test.  Not shown in this pic, but this layout will include a QR code to be able to see a video of his actual test - if you want to include videos in your projects, visit QR Monkey.  I have to admit - pretty darn simple and easy layout!

Sketch Challenge at The Outlawz

I've really been having fun scrapbooking.  That's why I took The Outlawz Wednesday Sketch Challenge and turned it into a layout.  I was going for a clean and simple vibe. 

I added some simple embellishments from Creative Memories Spring Medley and Hello Autumn sets (paper is from Hello Autumn, too).  The title is computer generated.

Baby Prints from Nine

I enjoyed the Creative Memories Virtual Crop last weekend.  Such a fun and talented group!  As always, it sketch challenges - you may use any papers, but are eligible for prizes by using Creative Memories product.  For this layout, I chose to use the gorgeous Baby Prints.

I did take the easy way out on this layout.  The sketch called for a beautifully pieced brick section - I cheated by using a quilt pattern.  Admittedly, not as impressive....LOL!

The fun word art is one of my faves - all from Miss Kate Cuttables - the smaller sentiment is from We Are 3 (Magical Sparkle).

It was kind of nice to relax and join the Creative Memories Virtual Crop this past weekend.   I used Hello Autumn.  The titles were computer generated.  I kept the layout pretty CAS.  The embellishments are from my massive train stash (been collecting for years - and seldom remember to use them!

New Paper Ala Mode Challenge at The Outlawz

For the new challenge at Paper Ala Mode, we are showcasing We Are 3's Under the Sea papers by the fabulously talented Bonnie Kohane.  This collection is available in her We Are 3 shop at Etsy.  You know I love me some alcohol-inked backgrounds - but hate the mess!  We get the pleasure of having our cake and eating it, too - with Bonnie's fun collections of digital papers with inked patterns.

The Seaside Mermaid is colored digitally.  The sentiment is from the Mermaid Wishes set.

The new challenge at Paper Ala Mode is What a Trip, sponsored by We Are 3.  I hope you'll come join the fun.  I chose two of the fabulous images and papers from Trains and made an easel card in the set's vintage colors.
