Fun in the Trees with We Are 3

The Splitcoast Stampers Featured Stamper is always a fun and supportive group spotlighting one cardmaker each Sunday - I play there as often as possible (I am Featured Stamper #476 out of 812) 

This time the Featured Stamper is sgc - here's her card.  It's been so long since I've cased a Feature Stamper, I decided to pick a quick card.  I came across the Trees paper collection when scanning for a good background from We Are 3.  I thought this would be perfect for a tree.  The sentiment is computer generated -printed and popped.  I kept with the basic layout and framed the card with black and white as sgc did.  I did pop my owl to make him stand out more from the many branches.  Voila!

For the Boys Challenge for Paper Ala Mode with We Are 3

WOW!  This year is going by quickly!  It's already mid June - and we have a new challenge at Paper Ala Mode.  The design team is using fabulous masculine items from We Are 3 - Trees, Woodland Animals, and Masculine sentiments.  You can find all of these at We Are 3's Etsy shop.   The new them at Paper Ala Mode is For the Boys.

I framed the sentiment with a My Scrap Chick tag from the 6 Trendy Tags set.

I have a tendency to not read through our theme instructions....I did that once again here and did not see the Trees papers provided.  So I also made a card using papers from the At The Beach collection...also wonderful colors for a masculine card.

New Sentiments at We Are 3

Tell me this isn't the sweetest image ever!  It's called Hello, Cupcake.   She's colored digitally.  She was colored before I took coloring classes - but I still kinda love how she looks.

She goes perfectly with papers from the Watercolor Textures and Trees collections from We Are 3.  The birthday sentiment is new - from the Wishes set at We Are 3.

We Are 3's Trees

If you're a regular visitor to my blog, you know I love some We Are 3! I especially love the new collection Trees - great coordinating patterns. Today I used a different technique - it was kind of fun. Here I created a Diagonal-Fold Card, using three of the patterns from the Trees collection. I used some simple hearts for my embellies.

Spring Fold with Trees

I love the new Trees collection, and decided to do something a little more challenging for today's card. I found some instructions for a Spring-Fold card....and after the third try, finally cut and scored it correctly. LOL! However, when I finished, I couldn't get the card to stay open for the fun fold effect. I ended up adhering the bottom down - will probably have to send instructions for opening if I send it somebody. LOL! The Trees papers are elegant! I just added a poinsettia and a sentiment sticker from my stash - and I have one beautiful Christmas card.
