Happy Thanksgiving!

Just trying to sneak in a few layouts that I created Monday at a friend's crop - I haven't been crafting much lately...or finding the time to share what crafting I have snuck in.  I found the leaves and tags in my stash - Woo Hoo!   

It's Job-Hunting Time!

Love all the yellows, golds, and browns I'm using in this scrapbook album, but it's a bit hard on my yellow ink cartridges.

The background uses a Textile Background from Design Bundles.  The "title" is word art from Miss Kate Cuttables.  I will personally say I was glad to see that Last Day of School.  LOL!

Playing with New Goodies

I love this sweet image (Angels Heard on High) from our sponsor, Jan's Digital Stamps.  

I digitally colored the angels and the lacy design behind.  Overall a simple card for this month's Kerst Christmas Challenge - Use the Color Red.

Life is Better with Friends

Okay, seems lately I let it kind of get down to the wire for getting greeting cards out in a timely manner.  It's been a while since I've created some more than quick and easy - so this one took me hours to pick papers and sentiments and figure out the dimensions - all with avoiding creating more embellishments that I may never use.  This cutie is for Valentine's Day with adorable birds sent to me by a friend - Thanks, Mikah!  I painted the birds white and I added some clear glitter (one of my favorite products) so that they sparkle.

The mat was cut with my Eclips.  The corner flourish is Heartfelt Creations, I think.  I pulled from my stash and only had black - it is a bit out of place, but I think helps the hummingbird stand out.  The sentiment is from the Friendship set from We Are 3.

Birthday Bouquet for Featured Stamper

I love playing at Splitcoast Stampers in the Featured Stamper Challenge because there are so many inspirational cards each week....and since I've had no mojo lately, it's always easy to find a simple card to CASE when I need one.  For this card, I used the gorgeous Birthday Bouquet paper from We Are 3. 

I added beautiful branches from Design Bundles and a digital sentiment.

A Quickie for Featured Stamper

I've been a busy gal - doing what?  I'm not sure - but it seems that a 24-hour day just is not enough.  So for a few cards I needed, I went to Splitcoast Stampers Featured Stamper for quick and easy cards...and I'm able to knock out a challenge at the same time.  For this CASE, I chose a digital splash and a digital sentiment for a quick birthday card.  The splash behind the sentiment is from Design Bundles.

Of course, I was in a hurry and forgot to note the creator of the sentiment.

Beary Christmas

I love the sweet images at Last-Minute Manda and just couldn't resist the Beary Christmas holding a wreath.   

I assembled this card using background paper from We Are 3 - Winter Plaid.  Thought the little bear would look cutest in layers for dimension.  I printed Beary three times and stacked layers to give him dimension.  WOW!  I always forget how worthwhile taking that time is!

Amazing Poppies for Featured Stamper

Here's another one using last week's Featured Stamper at Splitcoast - and the gorgeous paper called Amazing Poppies from Creative Fabrica.  I chose this paper specifically because I've been wanting to using it - but had no clue  how to before finding a Featured Stamper card to case. 

I've been dying to use this paper from Creative Fabrica and thought this particular paper would be perfect for a Featured Stamper CASE.  As the Featured Stamper card, I added a sentiment cut electronically.

New Sentiments in the We Are 3 Etsy Shop

Oooh!  Isn't this a magical new sentiment?  This new set conjures up rainbows, wildflowers, and sunbeams.  I used Wonders & Rainbows and Mosaic Background to create this card.

I made this birthday card for the Splitcoast Stampers Featured Stamper - and to showcase a new set of sentiments from We Are 3, as well - Bookmark Thoughts.  I finished it off with with some paper flowers and ribbon.  Definitely a clean and simple card, but those are often necessary in our busy lives.

Another Cutie for the Kerst Christmas Challenge

With Fairy Backgrounds as my background and the mix of colors with the angel, there was already a lot going on.  However, I couldn't resist adding some musical notes from a retired paper collection.  I layered the angel - then called it done.

Introducing Here Come the Penguins from The Paper Shelter

Today I have my first card for this year's Kerst Christmas Challenges.  It's funny how I first looked at the image from our sponsor and though there was no way I could make this "special."  But after some searching, my friend Sandy at Simply Crafty provided some inspiration - now I love my card!  I've gotta say - Sandy has saved my butt more than a few times when I've been stuck for a design.  It's not very noticeable, but as well as the fun penguins, I used the background provided with this set - which added just enough additional color.  The image is "Here Come the Penguins" by our sponsor, The Paper Shelter (comes with the penguins and a beautiful winter background).  The box card design is Penguin Box Card by Simply Crafty.  The sentiment came from my stash.

Little Garden Layout

Wow!  The Little Garden paper collection brings you not one, not two, not three, but four beautiful pastel-colored striped patterns.   

Some of the "journaling" is printed on vellum....left over from the beginning of my crafting days when vellum was so popular.  I seldom use vellum because I don't care for most methods of adhering it....but I ran it through my Xyron...and I'm very pleased with the results....though I really do prefer my vellum have some texture.  Can't have everything, I guess.

Snowflake Village from Tutti Designs

This card is for the Kerst Christmas Challenge.  I took the Snowflake Village from our sponsor, Tutti Dies, and cut it apart to adhere on the card.  I'm really pleased with how it turned out.  The background papers and the sentiment are from We Are 3.

It was a fun virtual crop with the Snippy Scrappers who introduced this layout project recipe.  Isn't it cute? 

Another Tag for the Christmas Tag Challenge at Ecal Users

It's an exciting day in December as today is the last day of the 12 Tags of Christmas Challenge at the Ecal Users Group.  I'm thrilled that I was able to participate in all 12 days.  Woo Hoo!  Today is this simple tag.  I used a tag shape from We Are 3 covered with scraps from my stash.  I had a poinsettia in my stash that conveniently was from the same paper I chose for the border.  These papers and the poinsettia have been in my stash forever.  Makes a cute, simple Christmas tag.
