New Progressive Freebie Challenge

The new challenge started last week at The Outlawz Progressive Freebie Challenge with the image New Car from Twinkle Lane Designs.  This is a month-long challenge.  It is sometimes tough to come up with ideas for the freebies we receive.  I finally settled on a simple card.  I featured the freebie car image riding a two-lane highway.  Honestly, I was at a loss for a sentiment until I found the Over the Hill sentiment in my stash.  How PERFECT! 

Once I started coloring, I was pleasantly surprised.  New Car came together quite nicely - in face it was a joy to color.  I did get confused and kept wanting to color it with tail lights instead of head lights because Twinkle Lane Designs is in the United Kingdom.  Hah!  It just hit me know I could have flipped the car so that the steering wheel would be on the left!!!!  LOL!  All the coloring was done digitally.

Both background design papers are We Are 3 (Canvas Scenes).  I used a Swiss Dots embossing folder for the dotty background.

I think the sentiment was computer generated - can't remember for sure.  The bow was from a jar of bows I bought at our old S&S for a buck - probably ten years ago and that jar is still stuffed with bows!  I thought the green bow helped bring the color of the car to even out the design.  I'm pretty proud of myself for not shying away from an image I thought would be too difficult to turn into a card - and I'm more than pleased with the results.  Join us at the challenge and be prepared to be amazed at how everyone used this car.

Warm Winter Wishes

The gorgeous Canvas Scenes collection is from We Are 3, and I used patterns to create hanging ornaments - or package toppers.  I used free svg files from Bird's Cards to make these.

It was difficult to photogaph these (especially without a Christmas tree).  The swirls in the paper patterns make fab designs in these ornaments.

More Inspiration from We Are 3

Have been wanting to make this little treat box for a while.  It would make the perfect box for party favors - and is quick and easy to make (with an electronic cutter).  I thought this pattern from the Canvas Scenes collection would fit nicely for this treat box - especially if you are making boxes for something like a baby shower.  Unfortunately, my camera does not do this box justice - it is absolutely gorgeous in real life!

Featured Stamper at Splitcoast Stampers

Today's card was inspired by this week's Featured Stamper at Splitcoast Stampers.  The Featured Stamper created a gorgeous hydrangea card.  I digitally stamped a hydrangea onto a Circle Pastel and fussy cut around the circle/flower.  I popped up the flower and added some individual petals for some dimension. 

I used digital paper from the We Are 3 Canvas Scenes collection.  The sentiment is from the Masculine set.

New Release at We Are 3

I am using one of the beautiful new circle images released last week.  The background is from the Circle Scenes set.  I used digital paper from the Canvas Scenes collection for the matting.  I added a silhouette bunny because I thought the paper has such an Easter feel.  Sooo beautiful!  The sentiment is from the White on Black set.

New Release at We Are 3

There's a new paper collection at We Are 3, and it's beautiful.  It's called Canvas Scenes, and it has a lovely textured watercolor feel.  I chose an adorable sentiment from the Magical Sparkle set and glittered up some wonderful fashion accessories.
