Fishing Goodness

Hi Everyone,

Don't you just love that feeling of being inspired at just the right time you need a specific card?  Just before my brother-in-law's birthday, someone on a Facebook cardmaking page inspired me with creative inspiration to make a fishing-jacket card for my fishy brother-in-law.  Not my best work, as I was in a hurry....but fun it was.  And Doug appreciated it.

The fishing vest card is a free download from W Plus 9.

Cupcake Frog

I've been working on replenishing my inventory with new birthday cards...so using one of the new cupcake digis was in order - today I chose Cupcake Frog. Everyone will absolutely love receiving a birthday card with this adorable character.

I'm continuing my learning process of filling in digi stamps using Photoshop. This image sports using some texture (cupcake wrapper) and shading (frosting), as well as background highlighting. Don't ask me yet how to do this - I'm still just pressing keys until I get what I want.

Here is a close-up of the colored digi frog.

First eClips Test

This is a card I did to test out my eClips when it was new and thought I'd share it here. I love the intricate detail the machine cut - I was never able to get that with my Cricuts. I'm using my eClips much more than I used my Cricuts...my results have just been beyond satisfying!

Operation Write Home Sketch Challenge

192 SketchHi Everyone

It's great to be back with another sketch challenge from Operation Wri
te Home. These cards are also being used in another challenge - one given to me by my daughter-in-law. She sent me all the fun mustache embellishments, as well as the jewels, pearls, and borders - with the challenge to create some projects and post them. Shelly, thanks again for the great goodies! Lastly, these cards will be a graduation gift for my hair stylist - who uncanningly reminds me of my daughter-in-law! Spending an afternoon in Arianah's chair is like spending an afternoon with my daughter-in-law. They look and act so much alike, I secretly wonder if they were separated at birth! But I think the 'stache cards are a fitting gift for her graduation from beauty school!

As many of you know....I can't just make one card for a sketch challenge! I twist and turn the sketch...and I always end up making one from every direction. So here are my challenge cards. Until next time...

Quarter-Century Greetings

Hi Everyone,

Today's post is a little behind the times....this is a birthday card I made for our daughter for her 25th birthday in February.  These personalized pop-up cards are one of my favorites.  I used Sure Cuts a Lot to design the pop-up, as well as the 1/4 embellishments.....but the same card could be made in Cricut Craftroom.
