Sketch Fun with Paige Evans

Here today with a layout using a sketch.   

When working with sketches, I try to envision which elements I can make digitally to help the process go smoothly.  Grab the computer, keyboard, and mouse!

Using Word, I created the concentric circles. Paige used stitching...so I changed the line type to be dashed.  I adhered flowers along the circle lines.

This is a red, white, and blue background - so I made the large flowers grey to stand out...accented with red and blue flowers.

For this layout, I used a title from my stash - Sweet Child of Mine.  Unfortunately, I don't remember who created the title.

Once I had the elements together, this is when I selected a splash from - Yeah, don't remember where it came from either.  For the flower centers, I used Stickles.

Sketch Challenge at The Outlawz

Virtual Crop by Scrapbook Generation

I'm so excited to finally create a layout that uses the golf embellishments I've been hoarding.  I used papers from Great Graphics. The layout is inspired by a Virtual Crop Sketch Challenge at SG Scrap Squad.  When I decided to use the triangles for the layered design, I didn't realize they would actually look like the greens flags.  Had I thought of that, I would have added the 18 flag numbers to the flags.

I made a digital layout - missing my craft room during tile installation - and trying to keep up on my scrapbooks with some digital designs.  I used digital paper from We Are 3 (Bumble Bee) - and embellishments from Free Scrapbooking, Creative Fabrica, and The Hungry JPEG. 

The design is inspired by this month's Sketch Challenge at Stick It Down. (I flipped the design horizontally.)

July Virtual Crop at Creative Memories

Creative Memories monthly virtual crop is this weekend.  My layout features bunnies from Kadoodle Bug, and WOW - they are fabulous! 

The papers are from Nine.  This is the last page of the album, so was trying to use up what was already printed.  I already had the bunnies printed and cut.  I printed the title - the photos will be of my year-old eating and making a mess.  Please visit the Creative Memories Virtual Crop to see fab inspiration, and stop back often as each participant will be adding layouts throughout the weekend.  Don't miss it!

The May Challenge at Stick It Down is nearly over.  I chose another layout using GranMargaret's Flowers from We Are 3.  I added embellishments from Creative Memories.

Sketch Challenge at The Outlawz

Okay, I'm the first to play in the Sketch Challenge at The Outlawz this week.   Join in the fun!  I used the sketch for a scrapbook layout, rather than a card.  A nice simple sketch for a nice simple layout using Textured Scenes.

Single-Page Layout for Sketch Challenge at Stick It Down

I'm featuring the free April Showers collection from the fabulous Free Digital Scrapbooking - also featuring adorable pandas from Kadoodle Bug.  The heart is a Digi Crea printable from the Positive Vibes set.  The journaling is a sentiment from We Are 3's Thoughtfulness set.  The title is computer generated.  I digitally painted some white splotches behind the pandas to make them stand out a little.  If you look VERY carefully, I embellished with clear glittery sequins - but they didn't photograph well.

Spring Medley and Berry Good for Stick It Down

This month's double-page challenge at Stick It Down.  Ooh, how fun! I had lots of choices for a title, but finally decided on Miss Kate Cuttables' Fall Words.  I love how Creative Memories' kits include so many coordinated embellishments - so easy to quickly style your layouts.  The papers are from the Spring Medley and Berry Good kits.  I added a border from My Scrap Chick and called it done.  

Stick It Down Challenge

Stick it Down has a wonderful single-page sketch this month.  I would have never thought of connecting my title to the background - and so easy to put together!  I kept the layout simple - for my pregnant niece.  I still love the paper collection I chose for this book - Positive Vibes from Digi Crea.  

I've had the ladybug stickers forever!  Their colors go so well with my paper choices, and make adding a little color to the page so easy.  Take a look at other takes on the Stick It Down sketch here....and come play along!

Here is this month's two-page layout sketch at Stick It Down.  Oooh, fun!  I grabbed one of my favorite paper collections and went to work. 

Couldn't resist flipping the sketch - both vertically and horizontally.  The paper is from the We Are 3's Little Star collection - including all the cut-out stars.  The title is popped up for some dimension.

Challenge: Sketch using Garden Dance and Reindeer Silhouettes

I was preparing this card on November 15 - opening day of deer season.  So I had to play with these cute Reindeer Silhouettes from Miss Kate Cuttables.  My inspiration came from Tuesday Morning Sketch #432 that is being sponsored by We Are 3. When I made this card, my printer had died (RIP), so this is a purely digital card.  I used Garden Dance digital papers (We Are 3) and created four layers at different transparent levels.  I finished it off with a black border and Joy sentiment from Free Digital Scrapbooking.

Table Scraps and We Are 3

Today I am sharing a card using the sketch from The Outlawz Sketch Challenge.  For my embellies, I am using Table Scraps - stickers given to me years ago.  Papers are from digital collections by We Are 3 - Toasty Warm Neutral Colors and Inspirational.

               

Sketch Challenge with Atlantic Hearts

It's another beautiful week here in Sunny Sahuarita!  So today's Table Scraps are some awesome southwest flowers left over from a class I taught many years ago.  Today I thought they'd fit well on Atlantic Hearts' Sketch #209 - to be sent back to Michigan friends.  I was inspired by the sketch (turned upside down) - though any resemblance might be a stretch now.  LOL!
