Today I decided to create a Pet Sympathy card using Operation Write Home's Sketch Challenge #240. I turned the sketch upside down.

Who doesn't love sketches? Perfect for card makers! Sketches make cardmaking so much fun and quick, because you can use them in a variety of ways with small variations. These cards follow Sketch #239 from Operation Write Home. Check out their blog and add your interpretation of their sketch to the linky party.

Thank You! - Operation Write Home Sketch Challenge #237
Hi Everyone,
Christmas is coming...ready or not :) Today I am bringing you a card that takes the holiday as a perfect time to let someone know how much you appreciate that person. The design is from Operation Write Home's Sketch Challenge #237 - I took a little liberty with the center rectangle - as I already had the large thank-you scallop printed.

Have an amazing week!

Celebrate Retirement
Hello, Everyone!
I hope your Monday was amazing! I got to play in lots of glitter today as I continued to stock Hobby Lobby's Christmas picks. I actually enjoy that job - not a favorite of most employees.

Today I have another couple simple retirement cards - with, I believe, only one left to make for a while! Yeah! That means I get to start on my Yooper cards....they will be much more fun. So here are a couple simple cards.

Operation Write Home Sketch Challenge #235
Sunday is here and, as usual, Operation Write Home's weekly sketch challenge is in full bloom! It's been my favorite time of the week because I have so many cards to make and sketches take most of the thinking out of it and I'm generally pretty productive.
So here's OWH's sketch for today - and my cards.

Happy Tuesday!
Happy Tuesday to all my followers! I hope you are enjoying your week, whatever it may entail!
I'm celebrating actually getting a card made today - as simple as it may be!
And as I thinking about retirement - I've got a new countdown - weekly! So today I'm celebrating 18 more trips to the post office. LOL!

Scraps & Cards
Hello, Everyone!
This weekend it was my plan to get closer to finishing my grandson's scrapbook....and to finish an order for retirement cards. I ran out of cardstock for the scrapbook - won't be able to get more until Thursday. So - silver lining - I'll be able to finish the retirement cards. I was on a roll....finished (so I thought) and when I went to pack them up - realized I was only HALF finished! Argggh! I love to use sketches when I'm in a hurry - so I pulled out all the sketches from Operation Write Home - and started in on my scraps. These are simple - but surprisingly got many done in a very short time. If I can continue at this rate for the next couple days, I will be finished! For sure!

OWH Sketch Challenge #233
Picture it. A cloud-free sky of blue. Desert critters are alive with interesting sounds - quails with vivacious colors. Saguaro cactus line the wash. You must be in my backyard! While I enjoy this view often - come December 3, I will enjoy this every morning with my cup of coffee - on my longest coffee break. My mind fills with wonderment and beautiful thoughts at the mesmerizing image of sleeping in, quail feeding in my yard, cactus green, and soft blue sky!
Until then, I rush to complete my order of retirement cards. Here is one using Operation Write Home's Sketch Challenge #233.

Happy New Year!
Hi Everyone,
Happy New Year!
Do you make New Year's Resolutions? I do....but I think last year's resolution was the first I actually kept! My resolution for this year is to get back to posting more often on my blog...so although some may be simple, I hope you enjoy following my daily crafting. Of course, my goal is to post everyday....and I awaken today to find I already forgot to preschedule January 1! LOL! But since I have the day off from work, I'm only a few hours late to my new start.
Today's card is simple....but thought I would begin the new year saluting our military heroes. This card uses a free digital image available from Operation Write Home. What a nice way to thank those who risk their lives for us.

I Won This Old Bird!
Hi Everyone,
Today I am featuring a card made with a couple images from a
Inkadinkado bird/owl assortment stamp set I won during OWH's World Cardmaking Day Blog Hop last week. Thanks, Bobbi, from Bobbi's Treasures for the great prize. Featuring lots of owls and birds, the cards I make with these stamps will delight.

Enjoy the card, and we'll see you back here this weekend for a Scraps to Treasures Blog Hop featuring candy bar wrappers. Okay, I made a candy bar wrapper - but first I misunderstood the guidelines and made seven other fun Halloween candy treats...I can't wait to share! So come on back this Saturday.

Operation Write Home Sketch Challenge
It's great to be back with another sketch challenge from Operation Write Home. These cards are also being used in another challenge - one given to me by my daughter-in-law. She sent me all the fun mustache embellishments, as well as the jewels, pearls, and borders - with the challenge to create some projects and post them. Shelly, thanks again for the great goodies! Lastly, these cards will be a graduation gift for my hair stylist - who uncanningly reminds me of my daughter-in-law! Spending an afternoon in Arianah's chair is like spending an afternoon with my daughter-in-law. They look and act so much alike, I secretly wonder if they were separated at birth! But I think the 'stache cards are a fitting gift for her graduation from beauty school!
As many of you know....I can't just make one card for a sketch challenge! I twist and turn the sketch...and I always end up making one from every direction. So here are my challenge cards. Until next time...

Patriotic Blog Hop

Welcome to the July 13th Patriotic Blog Hop hosted by www.thecricutchirp.com. If you’re just joining the hop, make sure to start back at the beginning HERE. We hope you enjoy hopping along with us as much as we enjoyed putting our projects together for you.
When I had time to make a project for this hop, I wasn't truly inspired. After cruising the Internet and all my favorite magazines...still nothing. So when I am uninspired...and in a hurry....I like to resort to sketches. Today I used a sketch from Operation Write Home (#3) - also used their Any Hero sentiment. Made a pack of simple cards with a simple thank you for Any Hero.

Your next stop is Jennyfer. Here is the entire line up in case you get lost.
