Today I am bringing you a card I made for last month's SALSA swap - it was to be a sympathy card. I chose a soft pink style - in the same format of my Baby Girl Wishes design for the Robin's Nest about a month ago.

Happy Dinosaurs - from The Robin's Nest
Hi Everyone,
Good news....Robin's Nest Tear Dew Drops are being featured this month and are 20% Off. These products are in stock and ready to ship. This is the product I'm using as "coconuts" in today's design. Click here to check them out.
Today, we are also featuring our partner, Plaid, with a technique that I thought ya'll might like...mixing Modge Podge with embossing powder. Enjoy!
For today's project, I made a card project for the dinosaur lover in your life.
Supplies used to complete the card:
The card front is Spring Green Glitter Cardstock, distressed and matted with the solid green side of Dinosaur Cardstock. I used a solid brown scrap of cardstock to cut two sets of palm trees - one set for the bottom layer, then just branches from the second set for a top layer to give more dimension.
I mixed Green Moss Enamel Powder with Plaid Satin Modge Podge, using a paint brush to apply. I wanted a chunky textured look, so although I used a paint brush to apply, I tapped the solution on, rather than painted it on. After drying for about 15 minutes, I applied a second coat. After another 15 minutes, the trees were dry enough to handle...but while still a touch wet, I added "coconuts" made from Gum Drop Tear Dew Drops.
Remember to check out The Robin's Nest for Tear Dew Drops! 20% Off - offer good for the month of February. Enjoy!

Supplies used to complete the card:
- Paper: Dinosaur Cardstock, Spring Green Glitter Cardstock, Brown Cardstock
- Embellishments: Gum Drop Tear Dew Drops
- Die/Embossing Folder: Disney At the Beach (Cuttlebug)
- Modge Podge - Satin
- Enamel Powder: Green Moss (Piccolo)
- Inks: Rich Cocoa (Memento)

I fussy cut two dinosaurs from the Dinosaur Cardstock, along with a couple dinosaur foot prints. I finished off the card by arranging those around the palm trees.
The texture of the palm branches from mixing Modge Podge with embossing enamel is fabulous! I debated whether to use green paper or just brown. I think brown gives them more depth - not to mention it was less work by having to only cut and emboss two sets of trees, rather than four sets.

Classic Lacy Look
Spent Sunday with a great group of creative colleagues. Our Stampin' Up Host, Paulette Patterson, picked a random winner for a door prize - and my great luck continues! I received a beautiful Lacy Brocade Embossing Folder. The image on the package is elegant...but does nothing for the actual embossed image. Here is the first card I made using the Lacy Brocade as the background - embellished with a post card image from A Place in Time by Graphic 45, and a daisy from Heartfelt Creations. Thanks, Paulette...many grand cards will sport this Lacy image!

The Stamping Chef at http://thestampingchef.oo.gd/index.php?route=common/home is offering 3 digis to help you cook up something special to one lucky winner

Before we move on, let's everyone wish our hostess a very Happy Birthday! Have a great day, Lynne - glad we could join in your celebration!
Here's my project, which I hope you enjoy. I had two lumps of fun as I used Graphic 45's Hallowe'en in Wonderland and Happy Haunting paper lines to make bridal shower party favors. Shelly, my new daughter-in-law, had a Mad Hatter-themed bridal shower - so you know I had to put my two cents in with some cards for guests. Here are just a sampling of the cards.
